I got their duck soup where's the duck? It's like bone and fat what a rip off you spend tons of money and get nothing.

A family member who lives in Bristol recommended Baba Sushi; one of us has a gluten allergy as does…read moreshe. We're so glad she did. The location is great overlooking the harbor, there are two floors inside and patio seating. We had a couple of signature cocktails to kick us off; two rolls (unagi avocado and the Holiday roll); and tuna, yellowtail, salmon and octopus nigiri. I started with the miso soup and an oyster & quail egg shooter amped up with tequilla and got an 8oz cold sake mid-way through. Everything was really, really good. Our server was completely up to speed on food alllergies and guided us through what could be made gluten-free; she was really great throughout. Mack was responsible for making us killer cocktails and checking in on us throughout. She's fantastic, capable, friendly. The whole staff gave off a great enthusiastic vibe for working there which seems to be totally genuine. The nigiri fish cuts were generous to say the least, each piece could have been a two-biter. Considering all we ate and drank, we were really surprised when we got the check how reasonable it was. I'd love to come back here; we live in Los Angeles so it's not going to happen soon, but we'll always have great memories of a lovely evening

We recently visited Sakuratani in Bristol for the first time and came away very impressed. This…read morefamily-run restaurant has only been open about a year, but it already feels like an established part of the local dining scene. A nice space. We began with spring rolls (VERY good - chicken and shrimp) and sake, and the sake program deserves special mention. We selected a very enjoyable $38 bottle and noticed several other bottles at lower price points, along with a wide selection of canned sake--many around $11. Some diners may balk at paying that much for a can, but they will happily pay more for a mediocre glass of wine at half the volume. The value here is actually quite good, especially for those looking to explore sake beyond the ordinary. Our entrées--the ramen and chicken katsu--were excellent. The ramen featured a rich, deeply satisfying broth, while the chicken katsu was perfectly crisp on the outside and tender within. If you want a "hotter " ramen - the have an add on for a buck. Service was warm and attentive, reflecting the pride that often comes with a family-owned business. The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious, allowing the quality of the food to take center stage. Bristol is fortunate to have Sakuratani. Strong Japanese dining options can be hard to find outside larger cities, and for a restaurant only a year old, they seem to be doing many things right. We look forward to returning and exploring more of their menu--and their sake offerings. Highly recommended.

Stopped in here with some friends to try this place out since we were in the area!…read more Food: My friend got dashi tofu as an appetizer (not pictured) and it was quite an experience! Very silky, some crunch, and the dashi sauce was well balanced. We then ordered tonkotsu ramen as our entree, and let me tell you I was not disappointed. After trying numerous ramens, specifically tonkotsu, this rated 2nd under my first favorite place. The creamy, rich broth was balanced, the noodles were bouncy (maybe homemade?), and the toppings were all good! Personally I am not a fan of thick pieces of pork chashu, so just keep that in mind when ordering that meat topping. Otherwise, excellent! Service: it was pretty slow so we got in immediately. Our waiter was very nice and took care of our table promptly. Atmosphere: it's definitely darker in this place, but the atmosphere was cozy and the booths were nice! Overall for me this was a 4.7/5, I would definitely recommend going here and experiencing decent tonkotsu ramen!

Super unassuming Asian restaurant in a bit of a run down looking shopping lot in Fall River. We go…read moreto Fall River almost weekly to fulfill our Portuguese needs, but some weeks I want something else for lunch so we wound up here with very low expectations. Plenty of parking in the lot - the place does quite a bit of takeout but we opted to eat in. Handful of tables but the inside does need a little bit of tidying up - the front area had a bunch of boxes sitting there. We ordered a few different Asian cuisines - sushi, Thai and Chinese - b/c why not? Our faves were actually all the non Chinese options (pad thai and sushi). We were pleasantly surprised we liked the sushi as much as we did as we weren't expecting much. We were too full from the apps (gyoza and boneless ribs) and sushi so ended up taking our entrees home. But we actually enjoyed pretty much everything we had - the apps were our least favorite. They weren't bad, just subpar. The service was very friendly, welcoming and attentive. Seeing that the restaurant does quite a bit of takeout, we weren't sure of the level of service but it was excellent. We will def be back again to try other options they offer.

The woman inside came right over to take my order and was very friendly. I ordered the #86. Came with 8 boneless ribs, 4 chicken wings, 5 chicken fingers and pork fried rice. A huge amount of food for a little over $13! Absolutely delicious. I had 3 meals out of it. Wings were nice and crunchy on the outside and meaty and juicy on the inside. I can't wait to try their other menu items. Great stuff!
