Had my b day here. Food was enourmous. It's a family style when you do a party so for each person(around 60-75pp not including drinks) you get a bunch of apps and food. Honestly, I do love leaving good reviews and it does really hurt me to leave a bad review, but I feel I just have to tell people the truth and my true experience. So, ok I came here for Valentine's Day dinner, my wife picked this place because the pictures by the pond or fountain in the main room , look so nice. I have seen commercials from this establishment and it seems so chic and like a really classy sexy place. So I had great expectations. First problem was no parking at all. They say they have valet but there was none when I went. I sent my wife in to inquire about the valet and they pointed to a sign saying go to a parking lot about 3 1/2 blocks away . So I go and she waits for me . I walk back and she immediately tells the hostess, we are ready now. The hostess says how many more and she says just us two. The hostess says ok wait in the waiting area. We told them we had a reservation for 8 o'clock and it was 7:55. Plus my wife spoke to them while I was parking , so they knew we were there. So at this point we are the only ones waiting. My wife nicely request that we sit by the pond to eat , they say ok no problem. There's a table at the pond , my wife says can we get that table , they say yes just wait a few minutes. So we wait , literally nobody comes in for 5 min. Then a couple comes in after us and they bring them to the table we asked for that they promised us. So my wife said didn't you say we can have that table and they all looked confused and knew they made a mistake. So they say ok come with us to your table. They walk us pass the nice front of the restaurant, through a dirty, old looking hallway and then to the most ugly boring , low class, outdated bummy room you ever seen. It is literally disrespectful to bring people to eat back there . My wife said hell no , we said we are leaving . The hostess said no don't leave , we will find you a table in the front . We asked what do we have to do to sit by the pond , they said you have to make reservation to sit there. We were just going to leave but they offered us the last table behind the pond and my wife said we will take it, only because she wanted to eat. As we sit , we observe so many people being taken to the back room and coming right back complaining. We also saw people who kept complaining until they sat by the pond and we also saw a couple just go sit there , they snuck right in. So I don't think you really need to reserve a pond seat, they just said that to us . Anyway our waitress was so not into her job. Not friendly at all and doesn't even stand around long enough to answer a question. Now the food came out very quickly, but cold and warm. A lot of people waited a long time for food at least ours came super fast but just barely warm. I'm just being honest. The food was not bad but not great , just basic beef and broccoli, from any Chinese store. The brown rice was trash though . The coconut shrimp was not bad , just basic shrimp. The drinks were actually really good. Drinks were the best part. This place is definitely not worth it , I won't be back , I don't like how they do business oh and the tip is included but then they try to get double tip by giving you a receipt to sign and it says tip. Usually I do give a little extra but not if it's not worth it. So nobody was friendly, the place was uncoordinated. 99% of a certain group or type of people were taken to the back room that was complete trash , they should be embarrassed, and the front is a diverse group of people if you know what I mean . This place is nothing like the pics or commercials, come here if you want but don't be surprised if you leave unsatisfied. The parking was reduced at the lot with a sticker , so that was good. So I'm a little conflicted about this place. It has great ambiance. There is a koi pond in the middle of the restaurant. Asian art as well as Western art are displayed throughout the place yet it still maintains a modern vibe. The staff was attentive and friendly. The food is good. Some things are better than others but the problem is the price. It is extremely expensive. We were there because we got a Groupon deal. Also because of the deal I ordered the Chef's Omasake for 1-2 people which is a whopping $54. With the Groupon it was totally worth it. The tuna and salmon were fresh. The white fish had a little off taste to it. The clams sushi was not as tender as I had hoped. Overall it was great but $54 great? Not really. Still it was presented nicely and I enjoyed it overall. The pot of tea I ordered was $6, a little too price. I really liked their Jade wings (8 pieces) and lollipop chicken (5 pieces). Again the prices seem steep with the items being $12-14. My family also enjoyed their food but agreed that the prices were high. You liked the atmosphere, praised to the service and affordability of drinks and food, but I feel the music should be toned down a bit.

Great place to grab a couple of drinks and appetizers. I usually stop by before going home and I'm a big fan of their Allagash White beer and spicy tuna. The bartenders are real cool. They also have a couple of big screens to entertain you if seated by the bar. The set up is real hippy, cozy, and cute for all occasions. They also have a private room for events. Came to Jade eatery for the first time and can say that I would reccomend this place to anyone! The only reason why I gave it a 4 star is because parking in this area can be a bit of a hassle to get. I would also say that after we received our food, the waitresses never came by to check on us and see if the Everything was okay. Apart from that, everything else was perfect. The food was delicious, the aesthetic was beautiful. They have a nice koi pond, a couple of fish tanks and great paintings and decor. Also the music was great. Playlist seemed updated with new upbeat music. They had pop , hip hop and afrobeat tunes. When you enter this place, it does not feel like you are in queens. The drinks were also great. I had a red sangria which I expected to taste like juice (like every other restaurant does). But this place had a nice fruity but strong sangria. It actually tasted like wine. It took a lot of thought about wether or not I should even write this review. I had dined here many times before, my sister visited a lot and had good experiences with the staff and her children, my mom had an 11 person dinner for her birthday where my two year old niece kicked the table and fell backwards and hit her head, the staff was fast with giving us a bag of ice and some fish food to feed the fish to keep her distracted and not crying. The food varied. Sometimes it's amazing and sometimes I'd order the Singapore mei fun and it didn't have any flavor. There was no consistency but we kept going because of convenience and when the food is good, it's good. However, I went with three friends on March 11, 2022 we made a reservation, got there early, and we were sat by the windows. And we sat there for an entire hour. Nobody came to take our order, nobody even looked at us after seating us. We asked anyone we could to take our order, they'd nod and we never got an order taken. There was a black couple sitting a table away from us who were also not getting served. They left 30 mins in. Our table was entirely POC and we gave up after an hour. There was a white couple sitting in the corner that for some reason was getting food and drinks. So I know it wasn't about them being too busy to look in our direction. The servers had to walk past us to get to them, and as much as we tried to get their attention they ignored us. Nothing like this has ever happened to me in NYC and if you're a POC spend your money elsewhere. I went here recently after seeing a few Instagram posts. Long story short - save yourself the trouble. I witnessed the owner harass a family of 5 into hushing their kids in an environment where the kids were barely heard and I was two tables over. If you're a parent, you know how difficult it is to quiet down energetic kids but I saw the parents try by providing them with their phones. The owner berated them and made them feel they weren't welcome after seating them. If the restaurant was not kid friendly, I would advise telling the parents that before they're seated and halfway through appetizers. Seeing this play out was definitely a low blow. On to my personal experience, the food was mediocre. The tereyaki steak was too sweet and the chicken was undercooked. I immediately felt nauseous after eating the food. For similar food, I would highly recommend nur thai who are very welcoming towards families and always provide fresh food. For my long islanders, I would suggest Theo Thai Bistro. Wow...Raymond Tailor, he actually asked someone to write good things about his Sh*ty work as a manager in this so called asian fusion. The food IS mediocre, except for the lobster ravioli( that was good.) But that's not the main complaint about this place. Raymond Tailor couldn't managed the restaurant properly. He does not value all customer equally and he didn't show any managerial skill that qualify him to run this place. I want to start off by saying the restaurant is beautiful. The ambiance and decor is very romantic for a date night. The lights are dimmed at night. I've been here for parties in the past. I've eaten here a couple times also but many many years ago and never had anything negative to say. However , last night I went For dinner and ordered a few things. Friend got the Mandarin cocktail and I ordered the dharma cocktail. Both were good but not balanced enough , too strong and not that tasty. If you like your drinks extra extra strong, you won't have a problem but in my opinion a little less and balanced better would have got me to get another. But I did not want another because my drink was just over kill on the tequila. Started with the Szechuan beef which was absolutely scrumptious. The sauce was flavorful and through the dish was onions scallions peppers and chilies . This was very good! The beef was soft and fresh. No complaints on this dish. I recommend it. Then we ordered two sushi rolls ; spicy tuna and the shrimp tempura roll. Very disappointed, as soon as the rolls were put on the table, the over powering smell of fishyness. Was locked in my nose. I am an avid sushi lover , this was not a good sign to me. The spicy tuna rolls quality was very low. And what made the shrimp tempura roll fishy was the masago or tobiko on top was not fresh. This killed the roll. I was disappointed and most of both rolls were left over. If you're going to charge $11 for regular rolls they should be better quality. Any other restaurant for a regular roll like these are significantly cheaper. IF I do return which I am not sure if I will, I would be avoiding the sushi altogether and maybe stick with regular kitchen food. read more

I had the pleasure of coming to this establishment one night. The ambiance of this place is very pleasing. When we entered the place was not that crowded as yet. We were immediately seated and given menus. There is a koi pond with fish in the middle of the restaurant, and a bar towards the back of the restaurant. We ordered vegetable dumplings and spring rolls for our appetizers. The vegetable dumplings were ok the spring rolls, however, were very good (imo). Very crunchy and the sauce served with it was also good. I couldn't decide on what I wanted. I know I wanted the drunken noodles but I wanted all the stuff that they pad thai had in it. As a Jade regular, I am shocked to see all the negative reviews. It seems a family really ganged up on the owner due to something he can't control. The drink here are 10/10. The Ambiance is 10/10. The food is definitely a 8/10 but for the prices I leave super happy every night I visit. Service could definitely improve but I understand that these unprecedented times have left all restaurants with a shortage of staff. The owner is also super friendly and always is welcoming of all my friends. Quality of the food is definitely not the same. Lollipop chicken was dry. Usually restaurants bring out entries together so the whole table can enjoy their meal. Jade did not bring out the food at a timely matter which made my food cold while I waited for my friends to receive their meals. I waited 15 minutes until we were able to get a waiters attention and ask them about the rest of the table. They brought out a raw steak which added more time to my wait and then over cooked said raw steak. If you like pretty lights and mediocre food this is the place for you. read more

I actually felt so bad for my server, the bartenders, bus boys, literally everyone was running around and sweating trying their best but there simply isn't enough of them for how big and busy this place is and how many tables there are. Management needs to hire so much more staff. We waited over an hour for drinks. We had a reservation and still waited 30 min to be seated.
