We cannot recommend James and Jade Galore enough! My fiancé(!!!) and I were referred to James by a co-worker who had also gotten his engagement ring for his lovely wife from James and Jade Galore. We went to a few places before we made an appointment with James--and wow! What a difference! James is very professional and knowledgable. Before we went in for the first visit, we gave James a general idea of what type of diamond we were looking for. When we came in, he had a few to show us and took the time to educate us about the 4 Cs and worked with us to determine what was important to us as a couple. He never pressured us to make a purchase. This was SO different from what we had experienced at Shane Co (where they pressure you INTENSELY to make a purchase) and Brilliant Earth (where they literally do not care about you). My fiancé gave James his budget and we left it up to James to source us a diamond. And OH BOY! When he called us to come in 3 or so weeks later--the diamond he had sourced for us was beautiful, BIGGER than I had expected, and was within my Fiancé's budget! He wanted us to see it under all different types of lights and even brought out the magnifier so he could point out what we're basically imperceptible flaws (seriously guys, this diamond makes me smile so hard!) He never pressured us to make the purchase-but honestly, it was a beautiful diamond and more than what we thought we were looking for (quality and size wise--not price wise). James had a setting modified to fit the diamond and had my wedding band custom made to ensure the rings were perfectly matched. This ring is exactly what my finance and I had envisioned. Price was competitive--and the experience of dealing with James was really priceless. James is a certified gemologist and he is incredibly knowledgable and honest. Our engagement ring is gorgeous and James and his staff are incredibly sweet and professional. They ran an appraisal for us for insurance purposes and reminded us to come in to get the ring examined and cleaned regularly. I wouldn't trust any other place to handle my ring. One of the most important things I looked for when getting insurance coverage for the ring was whether I could choose to work with the jeweler of my choice if anything happened--because I won't go anywhere else than Jade Galore and James! We were in the bay area one day and wandered into the store to check out engagement rings. Right off the bat, we told Amy we had no intention of buying today and that we were just checking out different styles. That didn't deter her at all. She was so incredibly sweet, patient, and informative. I never felt pressured to buy and the other sales associates were very nice as well by offering us water and tea. Hubs ended up buying the ring (eeek!) but a few weeks after he proposed, I noticed the area below the prongs was turning yellow. We took it in and Amy admitted that when they switched out the smaller prongs, they didn't re-dip as needed, but assured me that they'll take care of it. It's been over a year since then, recently married, and my engagement ring still looks beautiful! Great customer service, free cleanings, polishing, re-dip, and dollar for dollar upgrade. I love my watch that I purchased & the service I received from Christina @ Jade Galore Milpitas. She is a very sweet woman that helped me pick a watch for myself. I was nervous when I first walked in as I did not think I would buy it but after speaking with Christina, she went over the pros/cons of buying with an authorized dealer/online (even if it wasn't with her) As surprisingly there was no pressure at all during the time I was there. I believed I made the right choice as I didn't want to risk purchasing it somewhere else and receiving not what I paid for. The rule of thumb in life, you get what you pay for. In the end, I'm very happy I purchased my new watch from Jade as they are listed on Rolex's website as being an authorized dealer. The last thing you would want is to fork over good money and receiving a replica product. I went here to get my engagement ring resized. They took my measurements, charged me $150, told me to come back in 30 min.. so far so good. Then when I get the ring back, at first it looks great-- it fits, it's nice and sparkly... until I look at the side of band (the ring has a 2.1 carat diamond in the middle, surrounded by 7 tiny diamonds on each side, on the band), and one of the little diamonds turned DARK BROWN! At first, it looked like a diamond had fallen off, but when I looked closer, it was actually still there but had literally turned brown. I thought they switched it out w/ a Swarovski crystal, it was that bad. So then I'm freaking out and they bring it back the guy sitting behind the iron bars, and she comes out and says that it's because the ring was "dirty". First of all, the ring wasn't dirty (had been sitting in a safe for 1 yr since I couldn't wear it when my fingers got bigger during pregnancy). Secondly, I've gotten the ring steamed cleaned plenty of times at other places before and this never happened! Debby had no better explanation other than it was dirty. So then she went back again to ask for more details. She said they couldn't 'clean it out' anymore because the diamond is set so tightly into the band that there's no way to get in there and clean out the dark brown crap. So then I said, well if it's set so tightly how did the dirt get in there when he was resizing my ring?! He shouldn't have even touched that part of the ring since that's not the area he was resizing. So then my husband and I say we refuse to leave w/ the ring in that condition and the manager came out, and apologized but said she just had no explanation for how it happened. So one of my diamonds just randomly turned BROWN and they have NO idea how or why?!! C'mon, I expect a little more than that!! Then, as a courtesy they take out the diamond and put in a new one. But near that area I see deep scuff marks in the platinum. So they bring it back to the guy to polish. Doesn't he check his work before he sends it out?? c'mon. those are obvious scuff marks that he should have seen!! It just really makes me question the quality of their work. Now, I lookd at my ring and you can tell that something happened to that area where they changed out the diamond. Sigh. It'll never be the same again, but I guess I'm glad that they didn't screw up the center stone. I would not trust them to resize a ring ever again! The sad thing is, now I'm realizing that the ring is actualy slightly too big and I'd like to bring it down 1/4 of a size (they said I can bring it back in 7 days to do it for free), but I"m afraid the guy's gonna screw it up some more! Jade Galore is my prefered jeweler and this location is great!! I bought my engagement ring and wedding band at the Cupertino location but I tend to go shopping at the 99 ranch in Milpitas more often. Whenever my rings needs cleaning, the staff at this Milpitas location is more than happy to help. They don't just dump it in some solution and give it back to me (like at the American jewerly stores), they deep clean it, check the setting and gives it back to me totally sparkly. I had my rings polished and re-sized all for free..it's guaranteed lifetime!! If you want to upgrade your diamond some time in the future, just bring the GIA certificate and the receipt, they will help you upgrade and give you credit for the original price you paid. I'm not sure I completely agree with the reasonable prices, but the service is very good here. I couldn't resist to come here and look at the pretty, shiny, gorgeous diamonds. In the Hearts on Fire display case, there were the cutest little earrings, .5 carats each for a total of 1 carat. They were gorgeous, but $7500??? Not worth it for a total of 1 carat. But the saleswoman was very nice and not pressuring us too hard, so maybe we'll come back one day and really buy something. read more

Awesome service! My husband and I shopped here for both my engagement ring setting and wedding band. Although we didn't find an engagement ring setting here, Karen was so understanding of what I was looking for and didn't try to pressure me into something that wasn't 'perfect'. We ended up going back to get my wedding band there. Karen remembers us even now, a year later, and cleans both my wedding band and engagement ring whenever we drop in. In contrast, the jeweler I bought my engagement setting from will only clean that for free, and not my wedding band. To top it all off, I lost a fairly sizable diamond (.1-.2 carats) from my wedding band and Karen had it replaced for free, and within 2 hours! The first time it happened, I had taken it to a goldsmith who charged me $150 for the diamond and labor, and kept it for 3 weeks. I highly recommend checking out Jade Galore. read more

I could not decide between 3 or 4 stars and you will see why. 1. I adore my ring, it's magnificent. I had to get it re sized, and they did it for free. Closer to our wedding date I needed to go back in to purchase a new band and wedding band set. I was surprised at how much more it cost and I hoped they would give a good deal, which they did. Debby helped us, and she was very nice and knowledgeable. 2. Once I was all settled, it was time for my fiance to pick his ring. We didn't have a lot of time, but they promised that the ring would make it in time for our wedding. The ring he wanted was tungsten, so it needed to be custom made. Long story short, I got a call after we paid A LOT of money (about 1 week later) that the machine that makes the rings broke and it would not be ready for our wedding day! I was so upset because out priest was going to bless our rings in the ceremony. They had us go in (a 45 min drive just to get there) and pick a ring to "borrow." It was a huge hassle and unwarranted stress the week of the wedding, but there was nothing else we could do. Once we got back from our honeymoon, we returned the loner and got my husband's ring, which was beautiful. However, now I need to go see the priest to get them blessed (again) and have my photographer retake pictures of our actual rings. So the jewelry is very nice and well made, but I was very disappointed with the lack of communication. I will still go there and do business with them because they do great work. read more

Really impressed with these ladies. I came by to get a ring cleaned today. They told me that they might not be able to clean it since it's not a diamond (?!) but I asked them to check. I said I'd pay whatever. Well holy shit that was the best $15 I've ever spent. The before and after photos are crazy and my ring hasn't shined like this in years. Came on a whim several weeks ago after dim sum. I had come with my child strapped to my chest while my parents fanned out. They had the staff to help us both, but maybe it was the way I was dressed or maybe because I had a baby on me, but the staff pretty much overlooked me and helped my father and mother instead. In an industry where service is the most important thing and making people feel like they're valued, they did a really poor job initially (especially considering they sell Rolexes and I was wearing an upper tiered watch). When my father pointed out that the reason we were there was because my wife and I were looking at watches, we became visible to the staff suddenly and the attention we received was night and day. But by then, I was already very turned off as I feel everyone should be treated well and kind of tuned out. The additional star was for them helping my wife, who loved the watch they had and they did help her meticulously, which would have warranted 4 stars, had the initial encounter been positive. So in summary, I guess the service has the potential to be very good, assuming they see you. read more

When you have your watches adjusted and jewelry cleaned. All the staff that I have been working with throughout the years are all retired now. Buyer beware! Worst customer service, and they don';t stand by their product. My husband purchased a very expensive Omega watch as an anniversary gift that didn't work. The watch stopped on day one, we sent it in for repair, four months later the watch comes back and works for - guess what - less than one day. We were out the money for 8 months with no watch. They were rude, non-responsive and only after 8 months of hassles did they finally, reluctantly agreed to get me a new watch and not send the original watch back for a third time. i love coming here. when i used to work around the corner i would come here once a week. i have bought numerous things here over the years. linda and james are my favorite two salespeople. they don't pressure you into buying and always help me clean or fix my pieces as needed. they have an amazing selection of little diamonds and big diamonds to satify all your desires. even though i no longer work nearby i still make an effort to come at least once every 2-3 months. how can i resist with the staff so friendly and helpful and prices oh so right! read more

The customer service here is AMAZing! I got my tenth anniversary wedding band here last July (2012). Amy was so patient and I never felt any pressure from her to buy immediately or to make a decision that day. I was really happy with my ring and it exceeded my expectations. The quality and price were all good. Every time I go back to clean my ring, all the sales and reps are friendly and even offer me tea while I wait. It has been a year and I still love my ring! I have gotten so many compliments. Back in October, I realized one of the diamonds fell off my band so I went back to see what they can do for me. I do wear my ring everyday. I haven't gone in to clean or check my ring in a while. Yet , Amy was so kind to reassure me that she will do her best to get my ring fixed for a reasonable price.
