Edible, but not great. Normally we head out of town when we want Chinese food but since this place was new and had decent reviews we decided to give it try. We ordered chicken chow mein, hot and sour soup, orange chicken, kung pao chicken, curry chicken, and sweet and sour pork. All were relatively bland, which was especially disappointing since several of the items were supposed to be spicy. The soup, while hot in temperature, was neither hot nor sour. The kung pao chicken was very mild in heat, and everything just lacked flavor and spice. I do have to say that the two ladies who greeted me when I picked up my order were very nice and friendly. I think next time we will stick with our out of town favorite places when we are craving Chinese food. read more

I am very picky when it comes to Chinese food and let me tell you, this place is wonderful! The service is awesome and very personal. The food that we have ordered has always been fresh and not oily, just perfect and full of flavor. I recommend the Chicken and Prawns Deluxe as well as the Pork Fried Rice and the Vegetable Chow Mein. My kids really enjoyed the Orange Chicken and Lemon Chicken, which was a surprise since their view of Chinese food is always compared to Panda Express, lol. read more

Jade Garden is under new management within the last year or two, and Napa has very few options for Chinese food. That said... The food is very good and well suited for take out. Fresh, fast and reasonably priced for the portions. The staff is very friendly and remembers me each time. Unbelievably fast, I place my dinner order by phone and its ready in 10 or 15 minutes by the time I drive there. Park at the curb or in their lot on the side. I've never dined inside and the decor is not the best; a large stuffed Winnie-The-Pooh greets you at the entrance, for some reason, and I've never seen more than a few patrons seated. But don't let that throw you if you're in the mood for typical Chinese American take out. Jade Garden more than satisfies where it counts. read more

We're so glad there is now tasty Chinese food in Napa. Other places in town disappoint. To go service was fast and friendly. (However, they do not process payments over the phone so remember your wallet!) The chicken fried rice is light and fresh. The honey walnut shrimp was very good, although it would be better with honeydew rather than pineapple. The sweet and sour chicken was also yummy and my favorite are the crab puffs but I have to order a double batch next time because they went fast! read more

We always come here when we return to Napa for a visit from Ohio. I especially love their sizzling rice soup. My 6-year-old ate 4 bowls!

The food was okay, went for dinner with my kids. I spent 42$, she was supposed to give me back 8$ back. But instead she kept receipt and gave me only 3$, what happened to the 5$? I did not want to make a big scene in front of my kids,and never come back anymore. Too cheap. read more

Have lived in Napa for 16 years after growing up in the Albany area where the multi cultural food scene is AWESOME. So we have been VERY dissapointed with the lack of good chinese food ever since we moved here and Jade Garden did nothing to change this. After reading all 8 reviews we decided to try it to go tonight. THE WORST ATTEMPT at chinese food we have ever tasted. The worst thickist pastiest tasteless potstickers I have ever had, I have better ones out of the frozen food section at Costco. The Wonton soup if thats what you want to call it ?? flavorless water broth with Cabbage and mushrooms??? No flavor at all to the wontons and no Bok Choy?? WTF? Worst Kung Pao Chicken ever..Whoever as seen an Orange based Kung Pao with No veggies? Chicken, bell peppers and water chestnuts in Kung Pao? and last the Salt and Pepper spare ribs...Wow..dipped in some kinda cornstarch batter and fried..NO salt and Pepper at all.....And to top it off this small terrible meal to go only cost $45.00..DO NOT GO HERE! read more

The food was great not overly saucy and wonderful flavors. Vegetables fresh and crisp. The only problem was the wait. I put in the order and was told to be there in 40 minutes got there closer to 50 minutes later and had to wait 15 minutes for my food to be ready. back again several times since the previous review. the service is quick,almost as fast as a fast food place. it always has an "a " health rating by the county and we have never gotten sick after eating there. we like the free tea. it's really pretty good. the fried breaded shrimp are enough to get full on if i steal a bite or 2 from the generous portion of chicken chow mein from my wife,it's filling and inexpensive,considering that it's a step above hunan,which in a food court. it's always clean,as others have noted. and the staff is friendly. will return. read more

This is hands down the best Chinese restaurant ever. It was our first visit. We ordered crab cheese puffs and fried calamari for appetizers. This was a yummy prelude for a fantastic meal. We then ordered the orange chicken, which was so fresh that even the orange peel was cooked into it. Those were a treat. We also ordered the szechuan beef. My all time favorite, so I am pretty picky. I couldn't stop eating. And I was full! It was so fresh, the sauce was so delicious. We also had a side of chicken chow mein. And after all that, we brought home our leftovers, enough for our supper tomorrow. It doesn't get better than that!! We also saw alot of people coming in for the take out. And...last but not least, the woman who waited on us was so sweet, checking on us for more water or soda. My boyfriends napkin had fallen off his lap, he didnt notice it and another woman came over to set more napkins on the table. They were the sweetest women ever.
