My family and I went to this establishment on 5/10 and spent a lot of money to feed all five of our kids. I wanted my kids to try something new, so we were excited to take them. The food was amazing, and the service was impeccable- I had no issues there. Once we were done, I handed the waitress my card to pay, and we even left a $20 cash tip. Fast-forward one day later- I was checking my balance online and seen various cash app payments to a "Victor Tu," were made on the same exact day that we went here. The thief attempted to approve three small payments, I'm assuming to see just how much they could charge my card. Luckily because I always check my transaction history- I caught it in time and contacted my bank. It's a shame that this establishment would attempt to steal from its customers like this. I am absolutely horrified by the experience I just had. I ordered shrimp and veggies and there were SEVERAL dead bugs in my food. It looked like dead fruit flies and aphids. I am beyond saddened by my last trip to what was once my fave place in Napa for Chinese food. I'm curious if they changed chef's??? The cream cheese wontons were NOT wontons. They were folded in what can only be described as fried ravioli dough. WTAF?!? Plzzzz Tell me this was a mistake!! What happened??? The Jade garden is a gem of the orient!The Mooshu pork is fabulous and the Chicken Lo mein is my favorite that I have ever tasted period! I have been to lots of authentic Chinese restaurants in San Francisco and they have not made better chow mein or Lo mein. The Chicken Curry is great aswell the service is prompt and owned and worked by an old Married couple that are very cordial. Would give an additional fifth star if the drinks and white rice weren't so overpriced? I suppose those are luxury items... Came here to pick up one of their lunch specials--Schizuan pork (aka spicy stirred fried pork). The dish wasn't as spicy as I expected (I can probably handle up to kimchi spicy) but the sauce was perfect to my taste. Not too salty or sweet, not too thick. Maybe little MSG but definitely better than Panda Express. I mixed the sauce with rice like you mix curry with rice and it blended well together. For $10 for the main dish + rice (only white rice, can't substitute with fried rice) + fortune cookie, it was a good choice for Napa/Solano resident like me. For SF resident, I think you can find better Chinese restaurants in SF. So if you're in Napa and crave for Chinese food, try this place. This place packed all the to go items expertly (in a reusablebox instead of a plastic, bag and they vented the noodle containers so they didn't get condensation on the inside or soggy, but stayed hot). Hello Food Lovers! This Chinese food restaurant has recently changed owners and I'm delighted to report, their food is DELICIOUS.. You might wonder why not 5 stars. The Egg Rolls brought it down a notch but everything else we ordered was DELICIOUS. I ordered Shu Mai Dim Sum and omgosh it was so fresh and steamy hot. Next time I go I'll be ordering another dim sum or two, that's for certain. Roommate ordered a Chicken Luncheon Special that looked so tasty. The Fried Rice is to die for!! I ordered a spicy hot beef entree that came with sweet and sour soup and white rice. Numz. The new owners, Andy and Yin, were very attentive. Yin had a pretty big Baby strapped to her back while she was taking care of all of us in the dining room. Inside the restaurant is bright and very clean. You can tell this family has a lot of pride in the way they present themselves and their food. I don't recall if there was music but we commented on how peaceful the place is. This place is epic because Napa Valley really needed this Chinese Restaurant. There was a lady dining alone who engaged us in conversation. With limited options for delicious Asian cookery in Napa, this little diamond in the rough sure hits the spot. Serving up delicious China-merican fare (think sweet and sour pork, egg rolls, etc.) at decent prices, you'll be hard pressed to find a place that's as tasty and satisfying. Since my favorite Chinese place, China House, burned and closed, I've been on the look out for a place that serves decent potstickers. After trying Jade Palaces version, I'm hooked. These dumplings are thick, juicy and full of flavor. While you can have them simply boiled or steamed, opt for the pan fried version, literally bursting with flavor. I was genuinely surprised to see that they offered bbq pork steam buns. These fluffy clouds were filled with the familiar sweet porky mixture you'd find down south at one of the many bay area dim sum houses. Add a little bit of chili oil or paste and you have yourself a meal in itself. These make me long for a dim sum place here in Napa, dim sum and wine, I think yes. So if you're in the mood for dumplings and steam buns, I'd highly recommend Jade Garden. PS, they also serve beer! read more

Family run business and we so need good Asian food options in Napa. I've tried this place 3 times and each time I leave thinking it's the last time but then my dim sum craving overrides my logical mind and I try it again. I really wanted to like it!! That just ended today - three strikes and you're out!!. I wanted to order just dim sum but they were out of all 4 of the items I wanted to have. I went for my plan B which was to order plain shrimp dim sum (har gow) and a lunch combo plate. The combo plate came first - it was OK. Kinda greasy and weirdly one item of the combo items was barely warm and the other arrived hot on the same plate. Guess item #1 had to sit and wait while item #2 was prepared. The combo plate also came with fried chicken wings. These finally arrived when I was basically done with the combo plate and fried to obliteration. Way way over done. After picking at the wings the steamed shrimp dim sum arrived. Mushy mushy. Yuck. I spit the one dumpling I put in my mouth out and sent it back. Overall it was a very disappointing experience and it's not inexpensive!! The service is terrible - everyone seems confused and my waiter really struggled with english. Four people stood around looking at my uneaten dumplings and said it's the way they always are. If that's the case this place won't be around long. Also, only one other table for 2 was dining at the same time as me and nobody ever came over to ask how things were tasting or if I needed anything ... I had to say excuse me and ask for basic stuff (chili sauce, chop sticks, more water) and I had to grab an extra napkin from a neighboring table. Not the end of the world but with no other customers you'd think the service would be a little more attentive Not this visit, but the last time I tried Jade Garden, I'm going to say the food was better. But during that visit, in the main dining area they had a family toddler playing with her toys. Cute baby but I want to eat in a clean quiet environment. I just love their food. I'm in favor of Cantonese. I've tried them twice; my test was the Won Ton, which had Bok Choy, so it passed, and everything else. Tonight I tried their Egg Fu Young. Really exceeds every other one I've had or made. Try the House EFY., comes with chicken, meat, and shrimp, and Bob Choy- same price as the others, too! Serving size is most generous. But it could serve 3-4! There's a weekly lunch discount option. I've passed by this restaurant so many times and I finally got a chance to try it. My friend and I went to Ulta to but a few things and ate here afterwards. Such a hidden gem! I think I finally found the best Chinese food in town! Very decent prices. The food is cooked to order and done fairly quickly. For the lunch special, you pick your entree and if you eat in, it also comes with soup. I ordered the shrimp in lobster sauce with fried rice. So delicious!! The service is great! Very good takeout. Service is good and price is reasonable for the portions. Vegetable chow fun was tasty, as was the braised bean curd.
