Great combination specials. Soup, eggroll, rice, choice of entrée and ice cream for under $20.00 dollars!

The wait was less than 20 minutes but then another few minutes before we were given menus. We went here because a friend told us they had good Peking duck. Well apparently they sold out the night before. Not quite sure how you sell out of Peking duck on a Friday but then have none for the rest of the weekend. Nonetheless we stayed but we really shouldn't have. This is definitely an Americanized Chinese place. The spare ribs barely had meat on the bone and the meat was tasteless. I did enjoy the wontons in my wonton egg drop soup and the beef skewers were tasty. They made the moo shoo pancakes for us which was nice. The scallion pancakes were all dough and maybe a sliver of scallion. I don't think I will return even if they guaranteed the Peking duck. I can't imagine it would be worth it. As an aside, besides the people who worked there, I think hubby and I were the only other Asians. If you're looking for Chinese food (other than the Peking duck), there are numerous other Chinese restaurants with tastier food and definitely better service.

The exterior architecture is stunningly authentic, channeling a traditional aesthetic complete with a beautiful outdoor fish pond (no, you cannot order them for dinner, though don't quote me on that because I didn't actually ask). Upon stepping inside, you are greeted by an inviting, ornately decorated space. It feels a bit vintage and dated in the best way possible, offering a unique character that modern, cookie-cutter spots just can't replicate. We were seated promptly at a table adorned with actual fresh-cut flowers--a beautiful detail that immediately separates this venue from places utilizing tacky plastic alternatives. The service here is absolutely impeccable. The server, the manager, and the support staff operate as a highly attentive, deeply friendly team. We began with appetizers: a simple vegetable roll for my girlfriend which she declared was absolutely amazing, and the boneless spare ribs for me. While boneless ribs are an absolute staple on any Chinese takeout menu, I have never had a local version execution this elite; they were perfectly lean, deeply flavorful, and entirely free of the typical fat pockets you usually find elsewhere. For the main course, my girlfriend (who doesn't eat meat) ordered the tofu and mixed vegetables blanketed in a rich brown sauce with a side of brown rice. She rated it as one of the best variations she has ever encountered, noting that the kitchen's flavor balance was so dialed-in that it required zero corrections from additional soy sauce, salt, or pepper. I opted for the General Tso's Triple Fragrance, featuring a massive, premium protein trifecta of chicken, beef, and shrimp tossed with fresh vegetables and brown rice. It was extraordinary. Hunan Taste simply does not belong in the same conversation as your standard neighborhood joint; it operates entirely in a class of its own. We will absolutely be back, and it definitely won't take another five years.

First I'd like to say how friendly everyone was from the moment you walk through the door. I'm still shocked at how quick the service was. They were on it. As a vegetarian I'm aware I may eat boring things but I still like them to taste good. I got the mixed veggies in brown sauce. It was flavored so well it needed nothing. I also got a spring roll which was great. My boyfriend started with the boneless ribs which he said were the best he has had. That says a lot since he is picky. He also said the same about his General Tso's Triple Fragrance . Nice sized portions as well. You will leave satisfied The food, service and ambiance lived up to the recommendations.

Such a satisfying lunch--this place continues to impress…read more Ken recognized us immediately and welcomed us back--always a thoughtful touch. Service from Ken and Alex was attentive, seamless, and effortless throughout. The hot and sour soup with grilled shrimp was rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced with just the right kick. The half Peking duck--served with delicate pancakes and sauces on the side--was cooked perfectly, boneless, and absolutely delicious. I especially loved the crispy skin--so flavorful and satisfying. The Malaysian-style red curry with seasonal vegetables, roti, and grilled shrimp, served with brown rice, was equally flavorful and well executed. Prices reflect the quality--and it shows. Delicious food, warm service--we'll definitely be back.

Also, early on, we had a little service issue that was tacitly resolved in our favor. We only wanted to order appetizers at first and later order the main courses. The server told us words to the effect that they take the order for everything at the same time because if later the restaurant is packed, the kitchen gets overwhelmed, and, also, they bring out the food whenever it's ready. As requested, we gave her our order for everything, but ultimately she was able to just serve the appetizers first and then pause until we were done with them before she brought out the main courses. My wife wanted a sweet white wine with her fish, like a Mosel. The closest they said they had was a fruity white Riesling, called Selbach/Incline, which turned out to be very fruity and delicious!
