LOVE this place!! (I'm waiting on my third drink of the week as I type this.) I came by about a week ago and had the pleasure of enjoying a lavender/earl grey drink that nearly had me on my knees. I returned days later and had the drink pictured below, I believe it's called the Captain Munch. It's a taro milk tea with blended strawberry and mochi bits at the bottom. I opted to add traditional boba assince I like to munch on my drinks hehe. It's SO good. During peak times, be sure to pack your patience! This is one of the better Boba places around. I wish it were closer to home but if we are in the area for dinner (which we are frequently) we will stop in. I am not sure why this was better but flavors, choices, staff, everything about it was just great. I did a Thai Tea with boba and it was great. Wasn't too sweet (even though you can adjust this up on request), and the boba was good. I went here for the first time yesterday and will definitely be coming back! I got the Apple Caramel Pop (no ice) and my husband got the Princess Peach (no ice). The Caramel Apple Pop came with a caramel drizzle and boba. It tastes just like fall in a cup with a nice balance of apples and cinnamon. I couldn't taste much of the caramel, but it's not a deal breaker for me as it was still super delicious! The boba was soft and chewy, and just how I like it. My husband had the Princess Peach, which had yakult, popping boba, and aloe vera. Very refreshing and definitely tasted like peach. The combination of all of the ingredients went well together. I've been here twice, but each visit was extremely polarizing so I can't justify giving them more than 3 stars. At my first visit, I got the Trix or Treat with boba. I thought the drink was delicious and I really enjoyed the boba. The boba had a great flavor and was perfectly chewy. At the next visit, I got the Strawberry Hendrix. It tasted watered down, the tea flavor was non-existent, and the boba was mushy. I would say this place may be great if you're getting into boba, but if you're a seasoned tea drinker, the tea flavor leaves a lot to be desired. Aside from the inconsistency of the drink quality, I thought the service was very friendly and it's a cute place to hang out. First time here and I will definitely not return. After reading multiple reviews, I had to give this place a try. I usually go to these types of tea lounges/cafes with my kids -- they enjoy boba milk teas while I sip on plain hot teas. I arrived with a laptop, headphones, and a notebook in hand ready to attend an online meeting and get some work done. After a few attempts of unsuccessful WiFi connection, I tried to get the attention of a staff member but was given a side-stare and the staff walked away. A few minutes later, the staff returned and I quickly informed the staff about the WiFi issue, which the staff later informed me that it was not working. With that said, I used my mobile phone HotSpot. The music was loud and distracting; thankfully, I have noise-canceling headphones. They do not offer plain loose leaf teas as a drink option on the menu -- I have never been to a boba tea lounge/cafe that does not offer plain hot teas; this was the first. To obtain the tea I wanted, I was informed that I had to order a "milk tea" on the menu and they will remove whatever I do not want in the drink. I was surprised that the order came with comments "without milk, without topping, without..." and so on -- still, I was charged almost $7 for what was basically a cup of hot water and weakened steeped tea leaves. I also ordered a lemonade drink without the topping; again, I was charged almost $7 for it. It was a total of about $14 for both drinks, which took the staff maybe 10 minutes to prepare. I'm not impressed. I grabbed both of my drinks and drove to another local boba tea lounge/cafe. What do you know? Of course I had better drinks, snacks, WiFi connection, and customer service elsewhere. I say...if you're a teenager and looking for a spot to hangout/meetup and not looking to get any homework done, this is it. Or, maybe you're a young college couple on a boba tea drink date -- this might be your spot. read more

Another boba shop opened down in Tacoma. I love the decor on the inside. It's very clean and inviting. Also seems like a great hangout spot with lots of seating. They have a vast menu with lots of great options from the fruit tea lovers to the milk tea lovers. I tried the Vietnamese coffee with ube on top and my bro got the strawberry hendrix. The drinks were really pretty to the eyes, but taste wise, my Vietnamese coffee drink was too milky. I couldn't really taste much ube and the Viet coffee flavor was not strong enough. I could only taste milk. It's a shame because they have so really creative drink selections. I am curious about their matcha drinks, so I will come back to try the matcha. read more

I'm sad that this place didn't work out. I think this review might help out the owner. Went there based on the menu stating that their milk teas are non-dairy. We cannot have dairy at all so we felt optimistic that since it stated it on the menu along with a message to "let the Bobarista know about dietary restrictions" that we would be met with knowledgeable service. The girl was blank faced the entire time. Said they couldn't guarantee if the milk tea would be 100% non-dairy. We were still at that point open to going with something other than a milk tea. So we asked what COULD be 100% non-dairy. And she still was unable to answer that question. Her conclusion was to check if their powder we initially asked about was dairy free, and it wasn't. So at that point we had all the info we needed about this place and left. I don't if it's that the menu is misleading or if it's just that their staff truly doesn't know their menu.
