I was very excited to find out that there was a Happy Lemon closer to where I live, having gone to the location in Milpitas and becoming addicted to the salted cheese. However, this location has the worst and most unfriendly service I've received, out of all of the Happy Lemons I've been to in the Bay Area, including the one in Foster City. Almost every time I've gone to this location in Pleasanton, the guy with the glasses, the Asian girl with the glasses, and the non-Asian girl with the glasses have all been unfriendly and unwelcoming. They don't say hi, or if I ask for more salted cheese, they just flatly tell me it's $1 more for just 2 pumps with an annoyed look or no smile. During one time, I accidentally ordered green tea without milk and had to get my drink remade for green milk tea with salted cheese.The guy with the glasses proceeded to give me half the amount of salted cheese, after I realized upon later visits how the employees pump the cheese. He didn't want me to have more salted cheese and spitefully gave me less. Why do you hire these people if it just ends up turning away business? I think they look for stingy and shitty employees just to make sure they take your money, be trained to be stingy with the amounts or nickel and dime you, and so you MAYBE come back for the drinks without them even providing the very bare minimum of a semblance of service. Even the manager at this store with the highlights was short with me when I could have sworn you get 5 pumps of salted cheese instead of the 4 pumps she gave me. When I asked, she simply said, "Well they were wrong", waved the paper with the pump instructions for the sizes and abruptly asked me for the order number lemon back as if I was going to steal it. She also works at the location near the Dublin outlet mall inside the 99 Ranch supermarket, so I can see why service at both locations is subpar. I probably don't want to drive all the way to this location anymore and would have to settle with the local boba places near me. The delicious salted cheese is not worth their cold and rude attitudes. read more

It's a good thing we make boba at home--that kept our boba addiction in check until Happy Lemon was able to open up for takeout orders. Kathy and her team are always gracious, always courteous, and always concerned about their customers' satisfaction. She has our orders pretty much memorized unless we decide to switch things up a little to keep her on her toes ;) The one (and only ONE) time a drink was not up to their usual standards (I don't recall the boba ever being anything but perfectly flavored and chewy), I let Kathy know and she immediately gave us a drink on the house. However, not only did she do that, she made every effort to figure out where the making of the drink went wrong. This Happy Lemon location is a premium store, meaning that it serves some interesting NEW products. I've always loved their fresh lemon tea, but now I'm addicted to the new strawberry black tea! happy lemon my experience: i have been here a handful of times since they have opened. i came here once during their BOGO weekend and for 3 days consecutively after as well. i come maybe twice a week now. my mom really enjoys happy lemon so if i am in the area she will ask for it. food/price: i have tried a few drinks but as most people order A2 black tea with salted cheese, that is also the drink i order most i think the reason why it's so good is because it is not too heavy, usually boba drinks have a lot of milk in it but this only has the salted cheese on top but you are still able to taste the tea and it is not overpowering it is $3.95 for this drink i have tried other drinks and i will break it down: mango matcha- you can taste both the mango and the matcha which is so weird but not bad together. the only down side is how thick this drink is. it's not a smoothie but its not as smooth as milk tea?? passion gt- average, what you would expect to get from the name squeeze black tea-not my biggest fan but it was alright, would not recommend squeeze lemon gt- this was too sour for me. tasted like lemonade just really sour milk tea- if you're here for milk tea just get A2 service: they have a TV screen to the side where you can watch your order being made and the time it takes to be made. i think this is great so that costumers are able to see if their drinks are getting worked on/forgotten. i have never had a problem with not getting my drink notes: salted cheese shocked me and i did not want to get it at first either. it is a natural thing to not want cheese in your drink. the best way i can put this is that it is a cream topping ?? doesn't taste like cheese at all! read more

Love love the milk tea with salted cheese. Drink it at a 45 degree angle to get the whole shabang. I wouldn't advise to get boba with it. Only thing is that there is NO Air Conditioning inside. Not cool when it's super hot outside and inside is even hotter with bunch of people near you. Other than that, the line to put your order in goes by fast. I always stop by when I'm on the way home. Most Happy Lemons are pretty similar so I have nothing to complain about. I always get Matcha Latte with SC+ Grass Jelly+no sugar It taste great so that's my recommendation! If you don't want a milky drink I recommend Oolong tea+ SC+ Grass Jelly+25% sugar. (I lower the sugar a lot so add sugar if you think it might be a little bitter) Happy Lemon should come out with more milky drinks as a recommendation! Maybe like thai mt+sc, taro mt+sc, etc. I think those would be pretty nice. Also although all Happy Lemons are quite pricey compared to other boba places it really is worth it for the salted cheese (sometimes the cheese can be a little less salty and more sweet like cream cheese) but I've never been to a Happy Lemon where I had to wait any more than 5 mins for the drink so they really work fast and I'm always surprised over it. read more

I waited months and months for this place to open. After 360 Crepes closed a couple months ago, I had no where to go in this entire shopping center to get coffee. Here they had the iced coffee with salted cheese. Not quite the selection that the other place had, but it was good. But today they just told me they stopped serving that drink. I'm shook. It's the reason this review isn't 5 stars, and honestly, it is the reason I'm writing this review at all. Please bring the coffee back! The salted cheese thing is good. Specially would like to commend Leyla (Layla?) on her service because while the other girl takes my order she starts making the drinks usually done by the time I take my card out of the card reader. I've been wanting to try this place out for a while now so I just visited on a whim. hehe Great location, plenty of parking during non peak hours, the place is super KAWAII inside their shop with friendly customer service AND their drinks x3 orders came out lightening fast. I didn't expect fast service. From their Yelp review dated back from August show pictures of Matcha Tiramisu so when I asked for one I was told Happy Lemon stopped making them. Bummer. Although thanks to another Yelp reviewer I was able to join Happy Lemon's Reboot card program and the card itself is super cute as well. Interior of the shop was cute, layout was perfect being spacious and nice decor (very inviting). Drinks I ordered: 1) Medium Matcha Mango smoothie - super good!! I like this one next time I will order in Large size. 2) Large Passionfruit Green Tea with 25% sugar - I like this one too!! 3) Medium Puff Cream Milk Tea - I will update later. Overall, Happy Lemon is a very cute place. It doesn't seem like they serve any snack foods as other boba tea shops do. With the friendly service today, I will be back. With so many choices and options to choose from, the staff there were friendly and helpful with my first drink decision. One of the popular choices they recommended me was the "fresh honey lemon green tea w/ boba" (B3). After a short wait, I took my first sip -- feeling satisfied with my order. Take note, that some drinks only come in medium, which was the case for this specific drink. There are many instances where i've seen customers walking out dissatisfied from boba places because they were unattentive to size, sugar, or ice levels. It doesn't hurt to confirm with staff for recommendations and such before you finalize your order, especially if you're a first-time customer like I was. This particular location eventually became one of my go-to spots for boba, which is why i'm giving it a Jon 5-star.
