My 6 year old son was with me to get this car for my husband, who will be returning home from deployment soon. They have a good selection of Alfas and they're pretty much the only place around. But the salesman told me I would have to complete a credit check just to test drive a vehicle. This is unethical and is not common practice in car sales. I get that they don't want just anyone driving a nice car around, but I am not going to allow my credit to be dinged just to test drive a car I may not buy. I can understand if we are talking vehicles that are over $100k or something, but a 3 year old used Giulia for $29k does not warrant a credit check to test drive. This is a good way to alienate educated car buyers, and take advantage of uneducated ones. read more

They got the awesome salesman and easy to transact with. Legitimate and they don't take advantage of their customers unlike other dealerships. Its not about the money they are after but the reliable service they provide. They don't alienate the people that come into the dealership. I can not even begin to say how much I like my Alfa and how much I value the service I get at the dealership. They treat me like a human being. Service Dept is the best I have dealt with. I had a great service here both with buying a car and getting my car serviced. When I bought my car I showed up an hour before closing and though they had a football game to get to, they stayed and answered all my questions and helped me buy the right car. I know that probably every car salesman would have done the same thing but I felt bad about it so I'm putting it in here. I got a good deal on interest and I'm in love with car to this day. My car had a warning light come on right before Christmas. They took it and gave me a loaner car, and considering the season, got it all fixed up pretty fast. My husband had mentioned to them offhand that when I went into the menu my clock would stop so I had to reset the time all the time. They replaced the entire instrument cluster and it now it works perfectly. A couple weeks ago I got into a little accident and my fog light cover came off. I called them and they said they could order me the part for $9, when I went to get it I also got an oil change and they didn't charge me to put the piece on. So yeah, I've had great service at this dealership and I'm very happy with my decision to buy a car from them. read more

Horrible experience trying to buy a car online from Jake Sweeney Alfa Romeo / Kia / Fiat. Salesperson did not respond to calls, texts or emails in a timely fashion. They kept emailing the incorrect email address after we corrected them multiple times and the email was still wrong on contract documents they sent. They asked us to print out, scribble on, scan, and send back documents because they don't use DocuSign online (or equivalent.) FedEx-ed us documents irrelevant to our sale, causing confusion and more questions (which they were also slow to answer.) Asked us to sign and return the only copy of legal documents - none of which had the odometer reading filled in (and their notary had already signed off!) When asked, they told us to go ahead and sign and they'd fill in the odometer readings later; that's how they always do it - huge red flag - that's not how legal contracts work! We decided we'd be more comfortable having our local Alfa Romeo dealership buy from Jake Sweeney Alfa Romeo and then we'd buy it from the local. Our salesperson asked if I could scan and send documents to the local dealership - he tried to send them himself but failed and couldn't figure it out? Or maybe he couldn't locate his own documents and was too embarrassed to admit that? The sales person supposed to be helping us went radio-silent until I had to email his managers. They strung us along for several days, saying they'd work with us and then suddenly flatly refused to sell to our local dealership (who has a recorded phone call of them offering to sell the vehicle at a lower price than they offered us.) When I called and spoke to the sales manager he straight-up told me it wasn't worth their time to sell to the dealership because they couldn't tack on enough taxes and fees like they could if they sold directly to us. I asked what price the local dealer would have to offer. He got grouchy and said that under no circumstances would he ever sell to our dealership. It's sad that one Alfa Romeo dealership is being so antagonistic to potential customers (and even their fellow Alfa dealerships!) Really tarnishes my image of the entire brand. I still don't know what to think; we're suspicious maybe there was something wrong with the vehicle and they mysteriously got cold feet when they found out they'd be selling to a dealership with Alfa Romeo experts who'd be doing their own independent inspection? Or maybe that's just a coincidence... ? read more

After being in an accident I stopped in hoping to find my next car. I told all 3 sales people that my accident was less than 12 hours ago, I wanted to find a car today but I could not buy it until insurance came through. They were very helpful and I found the perfect car and they said since I was without a car I could keep it for a few days. They asked some general questions about down payment, financing and had me sign some forms which I should have read but I assumed it was standard liability while test driving their car terms - two days later i read what I signed and they SOLD ME THE CAR, ABOVE ASKING PRICE AND AT A LOAN RATE 3% HIGHER THAN i TOLD THEM i HAD ACCESS TO. I still have not been reimbursed for my old car, now i have a car payment due in 3 weeks and they are asking for a 50k downpayment which i made 100% clear - whatever equity I get from my totaled car will be the down payment. I imagine it will be around 50k. I had just wrecked my dream car, was released from the ER and as a lover of cars was hoping to find something to make a rough day a little better. Instead they took advantage, left me in a very bad financial situation and didnt even back off when I told them i had a concussion and today would not be a good day to process the financial side of things. I have never defaulted on a loan or carried a balance on a credit card but I am still shocked someone would sneak a 90k purchase under the guise of a prolonged test drive. Crazy thing is I would have bought the car, i simply needed 1 week and offered a deposit to hold. Lowest move ive ever experienced. Hoping they step up and do the right thing as overall the reviews seem positive, the other locations seem of high quality. read more

My fiance and I own cars that can be serviced at Jake Sweeney. Our Kia began acting up a few weeks ago and they repaired it even though it was close to being after hours. It was also in the middle of a downpour as well. I had taken my little Fiat to a service department in Indiana that did not repair issues with my car after 3 separate attempts. Jake Sweeney did however repair and replace everything that was wrong and provided us with a loaner car. Their service department teams on both sides the Kia and Fiat fences are wonderful and accommodating. They even put up with my nervousness after the negative experience I had in Indy. We wandered in a month ago with an issue with our Kia and will now be only bringing our Kia and Fiat there for service! Thank you Mary, Jeff and Brian for being so positive and awesome! Their receptionist Tasha is even a doll as well! Cody was really nice last night too helping us locate our car. I'm a Fiat lover and my fiance a Kia guy so we will definitely purchase our next car there as well. read more
