The not so responsive rental car company neglected to pick me up, so Classic Carriage offered to drive me to the rental car location. The little things, I tell ya! They also did a great job on my vehicle and even fixed my driver seat, turns out I was missing a screw and therefore my driver's seat was wobbly;, but not anymore! They are very personalable, polite and Extremally PROFESSIONAL!! They even gave me a quick tour of their shop, got to see some cool classic cars they were restoring. If you have any body shop needs stop in! To most of you, it might not matter, but as a Black man, they made feel great about choosing them! (Not all businesses treat me and my business this way) sometimes I wish I'd taken my business elsewhere, but not with this family owned company!! After doing quite a bit of research on several shops nearby, a lot of these insurance recommended shops felt like high turnover and didn't seem specialized for Lexus vehicles. I even made a point to call the nearest Lexus dealership and they recommended what felt like a random "mom n pop" shop. As a last resort, I ended up going through the Lexus website where I found Boyce was one of just a handful of Lexus certified shop in the Chicagoland area. After some initial conversations with Kyle and Josue, I could tell they were considering many different aspects of different safety features that could have been damaged from the rear impact collision. This attention to detail sold me, and although I had to wait a couple weeks to bring the car in for repairs I was convinced they wouldn't miss anything during repair. From the minute I decided to go with Boyce, it was pretty much smooth sailing. Boyce took care of any necessary correspondence needed with my insurance company, scheduled Enterprise Car rental to pick me up from the shop, and were very responsive to any calls or emails checking on status. On completion of repairs, I came in to pick up my car which looked pretty close to brand new, however I had noticed some new damage to the driver's side door which wasn't there before. Luckily, Boyce takes hi res photos of the vehicle before taking in and were able to confirm they were at fault. While it was inconvenient to have to bring my car in a second time, I'm just glad Jim was able to confirm and take care of the damages and 2nd rental vehicle. That was very professional, honest, and detail oriented. Knock on wood I don't need to ever come back for repairs, but if I do I know who to call. 'Til next time, cheers!

In the end, Zach was 4 stars and thus my rating went to a high 3-star overall rating. It took three attempts, but in the end, the resolve was fair.

Apparently there's a conversion kit to modify the suspension system eliminating the continues expensive repairs with the ABC System, but we're having trouble finding a power steering pump that controls just the power steering. There is one out there and he's working to find it. The factory installed tandem pump controls both the power steering and the ABC will burn out shortly if used on the conversion system. So, as a temporary bandaid, Kurt replaced the two bad gaskets affecting the ABS System for now and the trunk battery (which I was unaware was bad) with a new battery for a total of $700 which was shocking to me. I was expecting a bill of at least $1000. This was just a bandaid for now until we can find the proper pump, but Kurt is as honest as the day is long. He also did not charge me for diagnostic testing of the problem, which many shops do. I highly recommend!!
