I've gone to JAM a few times and each time seem to enjoy whatever we order. Fun fact im not a jam or jelly person but their homemade spreads are delicious On my latest visit for a little Valentine's Day lunch with some mama friends we sat in the bigger area that has long tables and I believe they are open to renting for events with various photos of celebrities. Our table was placed by Bad Bunny which was amazing since we were all very excited after the Super Bowl hype. I have had the crab cake and bayou Benedict both which have been delicious. The crab cake Benedict comes with a fried green tomato and bayou Benedict comes with polenta. Enjoyed both of these touches being different from the typical English muffin for a Benedict. Service is always great, attentive and swift even with larger parties.

The service was amazing!!! We never had a time that we were looking for a waiter . Even both managers touched the tables to see how we were doing. The place was very busy, we started the waitlist at home and by time we got here we were seated with in 10 mins. The food was very good and came out fresh and hot. I had the steak and egg and my partner had the chicken and waffles with hot honey on the side. Overall will definitely be back.!

Quick take: Busy breakfast spot with lots of menu choices, friendly service, and a quieter back room if you want to escape the noise. Returned to this lively neighborhood restaurant and found it just as packed as before. The menu still offers plenty of breakfast favorites with lots of mix-and-match combinations. One thing I didn't realize before is that there's a separate dining room away from the main area that's noticeably quieter--worth requesting if the front space feels a bit loud. Our server, Mariah, was friendly and knowledgeable, and she easily handled separate checks. She even showed us comparison photos to explain the difference between an appetizer and the full lunch portion of a similar dish, which was helpful. The meals were nicely presented and well portioned, and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. My only suggestion would be for the Huevos Rancheros--the tortilla chips were layered underneath and became a bit soggy. Serving them on the side, or using thicker chips, might help keep that crispy texture. The flavors themselves were still very good. We finished with the banana pudding, which was delicious. Overall, a good choice if you want a flavorful breakfast with lots of options. Just expect a lively crowd and higher noise level during busy morning hours.

Recently visited for a 50th bday brunch. Energy was good. Service was great and food came out fast. Our server did an awesome job with our table of 20. Now onto the food. While here I had the following: Brussels sprouts: tasty. Had a good flavor. Nice portion size. I would've loved if the sprouts were a little more crisp. Pig candy: delish! Crispy and crunchy. The aioli sauce and arugula was a nice touch. Also a nice portion. Lamb chop lollipops- I was original told there were 7 pops but, it ended up being 5. The chops were a bit unevenly cooked. I asked for medium and half of them came out well. The mash potatoes were tasty with the Cabernet gravy. Old bay bloody-very boozy and tasty. It complimented my meal well. In all I'd visit again. There were no complaints about the food in our whole party. SYOY!

The transcendent Tres Leches French Toast

Jam is the kind of place you just want to eat your way through the menu. We went on a Sunday Morning and our party of 2 was immediately seated (our 8:30 arrival was a bonus, an hour later when we left, there was a large line waiting...) at an airy open table where the marvelous Tea served us. The service from Tea and other wait staff was exceptional! Anytime a coffee cup or water glass started to get low, wait staff would magically appear to take care of us. Then there was the food. Our corned beef hash with egg was amazing. And the Tres Leches French Toast, oh the Tres Leches French Toast. Rich and exquisite. If you have the opportunity to Jam over to Jam, make the trip. You won't be sorry! (And the pastry selection with cakes, cheesecakes, muffins, just another reason to go!)

This place is open, spacious and popping with people! I met a friend at 11:30 on a Friday for brunch and it was packed! Something that I noticed right away was how diverse the crowd was it's a gathering place for business meetings, mamas, families and friends to enjoy a meal together. I notice things like this and it's important to me. We were seated right away and this is literally my only small complaint, we were seated in me of the back rooms which was fine, but it felt very cozy and not in the best way as all of the tables were so close together there wasn't a lot of room to maneuver and it was very chilly. However that being said the room was full of natural light and the background noise of cheerful chatter made it a great experience. Our server was Zach A. and he was lovely, he made great recommendations, was attentive and it was evident that he's really great at his job! One other thing to note is the managers on duty were also great checking in, running food when needed, greeting people at the door. I love when the managers are visible and customer facing, it says a lot about the culture of the establishment. The food delicious, I couldn't decide between all the things so I ended up with our servers favorite waffle, the Churro waffle and it was decadent... and a side of turkey sausage. I would give the waffle alone a 100 star rating but the savory side made it the perfect combo. My friend had a latte, and the salmon omelet that came stuffed full of deliciousness and wrapped in salmon with a lemon blueberry pancake on the side. We were both pleased and left feeling more than satisfied. This was her third time and my first and I promise it won't be the last! Thanks JAM for a top notch experience!

Finally visited this popular breakfast-and-lunch spot. I've driven by a few times and noticed the parking lot was always packed, with a number of people waiting outside for a table. Tip: add yourself to the waitlist and hopefully, the wait won't be too long. The wait for our party of two was about 30 minutes. I walked in and was greeted by displays of cakes, muffins, and pies--oh my. Great start. This restaurant is quite large and seems to have an extension for more seating "around the corner." Almost every table was occupied, with a good mix of people, and the service was excellent. We didn't need to chase down the waitress for refills and plates were cleared quickly. The restaurant is very loud, partly because it was jam-packed (no pun intended), with many large tables (6-10 people), and everyone seemed to be having a great time. The menu is quite extensive, and M loved the lemon-blueberry pancakes with extra lemon curd. Naturally, I had to try a slice of the carrot cake... for research purposes, of course. It was divine: moist, and the cream cheese frosting struck the right balance of frosting and cake.

My daughter and I had to fast before our doctors appointments and we're pretty hungry and desperately needed breakfast. JAM did the trick. This used to be a chain restaurant under a different name, I believe they are now locally owned. The hostess was very warm and friendly, and we were sat quickly even though they had a a nice crowd. I got the Snicker Doodle Latte from the seasonal menu, the Bayou Benedict and a Red Velvet Pancake. My daughter got a Caramel Macchiato & Huevos Rancheros . Our drinks took a second to come to the table, and based on how they looked we thought we had each others order... the Caramel was topped with cinnamon and the Snicker Doodle was topped with Caramel. The food came out pretty fast, and everything was really delicious. The portions are huge so I was only able to eat half of my meal. Our server was really nice as well

The best brunch place anywhere in Maryland ! I'm not even exaggerating. Food is on point! Server was fast. Huge place so didn't have to wait for food but there is a wait to be seated. You just put your name on the waiting list and voila! I brought many friends to this restaurant and keep going back because it is just that good! I loved the mimosa flight and got to taste 4 different flavors. Prices are super affordable. Loved the inside too. Huge place and just full of life. Definitely bring your appetite

Service wasn't great, dining area wasn't clean, and food was mediocre at best. We went on a Sunday afternoon as the brunch rush was dying down. We asked for a table and we were told 25 min wait which wasn't bad but as we sat there waiting we could see tables were opening up, people who came after us were getting sat well before the 25 minute waiting time and when we finally went to check (we sat close to the host stand), they had forgotten our place and we had not gotten any communication- not a text or notice in person or otherwise. So once we finally got sat, our server was just fine but the dining area wasn't clean. I'm sure it was a result of a hectic brunch rush. For food we got the chicken and waffles and the havarti chicken sandwich. The sandwich did not look appetizing and the taste was disappointing and not memorable as well. The chicken and waffle wasn't that great either. Their drinks were good, however.

While visiting Maryland, we stopped by this restaurant for brunch and had a wonderful experience. The menu is extensive with a lot of variety, making it a great spot for both small and large groups. Even though it was super busy, we were able to add our name to the waitlist and were seated within 30 minutes, which was very reasonable. We ordered: * Kids' menu chicken tenders and fries with fresh orange juice * Kids' menu pancake with fresh apple juice * Lobster Eggs Benedict * Black bean burger * Vegetarian crêpes Everything was absolutely delicious, and the portions were generous. The food is very well priced for the quality and quantity they serve. What stood out the most was the service. Despite how busy the restaurant was, our server, Kamal, was extremely attentive and friendly. The manager also stopped by to check on guests at multiple tables, which was a nice touch. The staff overall was very welcoming and professional. The ambiance is great as well--especially for families. The open kitchen was a fun experience for kids to watch and added to the overall vibe. We would definitely recommend this place and would love to visit again!

Hands down one of the best spots for breakfast/brunch. Inside is super clean and bright! Everything we ordered was so good, and the service was quick, our waiter was super attentive the whole time. The only thing I didn't love was the lemon berry pancakes, they had a slight metallic aftertaste. Still, I'd definitely come back to try more from the menu!

JAM Eatery is a great spot, but be prepared--it stays busy, so expect a bit of a wait. The breakfast food is decent and gets the job done, but the real star (and honestly the main reason I keep coming back) is the coconut cake. Oh my God--it is that good. If you love coconut cake, you absolutely have to try it... if they still have it available. They also offer several desserts, all fresh, and they will definitely test your willpower. If you're trying to stay on track with your diet, just know you've been warned. And yes--no photo, because every single time I order the cake, I end up eating it before I even think about taking one. That should tell you everything you need to know. Overall, a solid breakfast spot, but the desserts are what truly make it stand out at least for me!

    Is the patio dog friendly?

No. I don't think they allow pets unless it's a service animal

How can I get on the wait list?

You can go to their website and click on to Waitlist. Or if you prefer to go in person, just see the guest reception desk and put your name and mobile phone number. FYI - on the weekends, parking maybe tough to find.

The potatoes had no grease and I couldn't stop eating them. I had the Belgian waffle with two very flavorful scrambled eggs and crispy bacon. Eggspectation - Merriweather District…read more My first visit to Eggspectation and it made a strong first impression. Located in the ever-growing Merriweather District, parking can be a bit of a mixed bag. There's a nearby surface lot that fills up quickly, but a larger parking garage within easy walking distance that makes things manageable--and a bonus for EV drivers, with multiple charging stations that are available. Just plan ahead, especially on weekends or when events are happening at Merriweather Post Pavilion. The space itself is modern and thoughtfully designed. One side of the dining room features floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with natural light and offers peaceful views of Symphony Woods--a perfect backdrop for a relaxed meal or a little people-watching. There's also a covered outdoor patio that looks especially appealing for warmer days. Service during our lunch visit was excellent. Ethan struck that ideal balance--friendly, attentive, and accommodating without hovering. He handled menu questions with ease and was happy to make a few substitutions without hesitation. A seasonal spring menu is currently available, but the full menu being offered all day is a nice plus. We started with the Ginger Zinger--refreshing with just the right amount of zing. I went with the veggie omelette, customized to my liking, and it delivered: perfectly cooked and packed with fresh mushrooms, spinach, and asparagus. The Lyonnaise potatoes were flavorful, and the lightly dressed salad rounded out the plate nicely. My friends both ordered the Eggspectation breakfast sandwich, stacked high with thick-cut bacon and presented beautifully. Portions across the board were generous--we expected leftovers, but between the good food and even better conversation, most plates were nearly cleared. Prices lean toward the moderately expensive side, but that's fairly standard for this area--and the quality justifies it. If you're looking for a quieter experience, weekdays are your best bet. It's also a great spot to unwind after a walk around the nearby lakes or wooded paths. While there is ongoing construction in the area, the restaurant itself is well insulated from the noise. Overall, a very solid first visit. I'd gladly return to explore more of the menu.

The food is consistently exceptional, the drinks are always on point, and the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between lively and welcoming. Whenever friends or family visit from out of town, this is my go-to spot because I know they'll leave impressed. Most recently, I visited for brunch on Saturday and ordered the short rib gnocchi. It was absolutely delicious... rich, flavorful, and incredibly filling. I paired it with the bubbles flight, which featured an assortment of four sparkling wines and was the perfect complement to the meal. Every visit reminds me why I keep coming back. Great food, great drinks, and consistently great experiences. Love this place. Five stars for consistency and great food!

The truffle popcorn was excellent, our child enjoyed the shrimp and fries, and the fresh tuna appetizer was flavorful, although overly sauced. Unfortunately, the scallops with risotto were unacceptable. Both entrees had a strong ammonia-like taste from the first bite, which was immediately noticeable to both of us. We were unable to get much attention from our server due to how busy the restaurant was, but the dishes were left mostly untouched for a reason. For a $40 entrée, we expected much better quality and execution. Sadly, The Food Market did not deliver.

The menu is fairly consistent, with a few seasonal specials added throughout the year. The food is reliably prepared with fresh ingredients, and the presentation is usually appealing. One of the restaurant's most charming features is the large brick-enclosed fireplace in the center of the dining room. During our recent visit, it was still roaring despite the summer heat wave, adding to the warm and inviting atmosphere. The menu offers several dependable favorites, and the bakery display case is always tempting, filled with an assortment of pastries and desserts. Fresh-baked breads are also available for purchase, though the more popular varieties often sell out as the day progresses. What keeps us coming back is the relaxed setting. There's no pressure to rush through your meal, making it an ideal place to linger over lunch, catch up with friends, and enjoy a satisfying meal in comfortable surroundings. Overall, La Madeleine continues to be a pleasant and dependable choice for a casual meal and good conversation.

The meals are mediocre at best. Tremendously Constant staff changeover is also a "telling" sign though some is normal in this industry. Example: ordered Chicken pesta pasta...could not eat it. One bite and I knew there was a problem in the kitchen. The chef hadn't a clue. They no longer served the once selectable bread sticks and replaced them with a dry croissant which has nothing to do with pests. Could not taste a hint of pests, noodles were overcooked and drowning in a milky, soupy liquid. No thanks. I'm done. No more La Madeleine for me. Shortcuts. Bad food.

It's a smallish space and indoor seating was really full at 11 AM on a weekday. Because of rain, the outdoor benches were not in use, and I saw closed-up patio-umbrellas too. I ordered from a kiosk or you could order online or in person. I got the bacon egg and cheese croissant and it was made quickly by welcoming staff. It was a regular size croissant with very light cheese and a layer of crispy bacon pieces in a well toasted croissant. The flavor was good. This café also sells a number of beverages, including fresh ground espresso, and various teas And they sell some bakery goods, candies, and quite a variety of dry-packaged teas and coffee. The parking right in front Café Jun can get pretty full, but there's plenty parking in the rest of the shopping center. You can enter the shopping area from eastbound US-40 Baltimore National Pike, or from westbound Frederick Road. It's just east of Centennial Lane/Bethany Lane and about a mile West of US 29. The larger shopping area has a diner 3-strip mall sections, one of which is called Princess Shopping Center, so I'm a little confused which mall-name covers which shops. They have a summer concert planned! That should be fun!

People do seem to respect the 90MIN seating window though so you should be able to find a seat. You order and pay at the counter first and then they give you a table number card. This is how they find you to serve your food. I ordered a regular matcha latte, a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on croissant bread and their famous croffle. I loved their matcha latte. It's pre-sweetened so no need to add extra vanilla syrup or anything. This does not taste like a traditional matcha, which in my opinion tastes like dirt. This is a sweeter, dessert like matcha. I didn't care for the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. It was kind of dry and it tasted like something was missing. The croffle was amazing. It has a nutty, pecan like taste to it and it was topped with vanilla gelato and blueberries. I couldn't really taste the maple syrup but it was delicious nonetheless.
