Tried this location since it just opened near my home. Very disappointed as their point system & credit card system were both down. Told it was down for a while & wondered why 1. A sign wasn't posted that they were taking cash only or 2. A backup machine to take credit cards. Also, the waffles we normally get are warmed up, crunchy outside & sweet, gooey inside. Normal, consistent, and convenient. This one is located on the outside of the Southbay Pavillion, on the target side. I come here often because it is close to work and usually open parking on the target side during lunch rush. The juice taste consistent with other stores and the decor is similar. Price is normal. It is comforting to get what you know and expect. This store is a bit smaller than the others so the wait is typically out the door when there's a line. But service is quick and just grab and go. walked into this Jamba Juice location with one question only..... my friend is Gluten intolerant (allergy to gluten) and she asked the woman at the cash register if a certain smoothie had gluten in it. She didn't know, turns out she was the MANAGER, TOO!!! How does a manager not know the health facts to the drinks they sell to the public?? The lady was not very friendly, asked an associate what gluten was, they didn't know either so we looked online at the menu and turns out it was gluten free. Gave this place 2 stars because my drink was still made good how i like. Giving this review because the cashier last night(7/6/17)9pm.. had the worst little attitude. Checked out this location last night with a couple friends, and the staff was very respective and patient while we were ordering, as we do not come to Jamba that often. The guy workering the cash register, Gilbert, was very helpful in explaining the differentations of the smoothies, and even explained some of the secret item menus. He ended up recommending the Pink Star and a sweet waffle, both being great choices. He quickly warmed up the sweet waffle and gave it to me, then made all our smoothies and wished us well. This Jamba Juice used to be the spot, but times have changed. When we went, it was not busy at all. There were literally only two other people inside the stores besides us. When we received the drinks, it wasn't even completely full. I overhead the workers saying how the drink was a medium sized one, but they only put enough ingredients for the small. Hmmm...So as a huge fan of Jamba, and the wife of a past-Jamba Juice lead, I know what to expect. I know it takes time when a location is busy or rush time. And that they have a smoothie up and out by the time it's ordered under 5 mins. I'm sorry, but 22 minutes after ordering when 2 people are ahead of you just won't fly. I can never say Jamba Juice is just MEH, it's AHHHmazing! But this time, this experience, this location, was more than Meh, it was WTF! I'm honestly not a forward person at unnecessary times, but I wanted to jump over the plexiglass barrier, drop kick the guy and blend the "almost made" smoothies myself, since the employee apparently didn't care. Standing next to the barrier, trust me jumping over was a temptation that flashed across my mind a few times, I even asked him if there was any problems. No problems, he just decided to take his sweet time talking to his lead, other guys who walked in, flirt with girls who ordered a drinks. So when finally, my two out of three drinks were blended and handed over, I informed him, I ordered three. After arguing with me for a brief second the cashier told him the third was waiting to be blended on the sidelines. Man, I could have screamed, but didn't. I could have told him off, but didn't. What happened instead of all that mess, was my husband (who was with me at the time) emailed corporate hq to inform them. They reviewed the tapes during our visit and apologized. POI..if you ever have issues or praise with a certain Jamba location, they want to know. Don't get emotional or super angry, just email them and it'll be addressed. Customer service is great, they remember your order and are quick to fill it. The taste compared to other Jamba's in the OC is not up to par, but better than LA Jamba's I have visit in the past. I purchased a cold buster with fresh OJ instead on Concentrate. They charged 3 bucks more (Free at other Jamba's) so my total was 10 bucks and they did it wrong. I wish I'd read the reviews BEFORE I ordered! This is the closest jamba location to my work, so I popped in on my lunch the other day as I had a terrible cold and all I wanted was a smoothie. It was pretty busy (lunchtime hour) and loud inside, as jambas usually are. I was feeling awful and unfocused, so I quickly chose something and ordered. The guy taking my order talked quietly, but fast and sounded like he maybe had a lisp so he was extra difficult to understand, but I eventually figured out that he was either suggesting a special or recommending something similar I might like in a "hey! try something new!" attempt. Either way, I was exhausted and just wanted him to stop talking and make me something fruity and blended to consume so I said ok, sure, whatever, paid and waited. It was pretty fast to get my smoothie and I didn't taste it until I got in the car. Bleck! Everyone is right! Why are the smoothies so icy/watery here? I've NEVER had a jamba taste like this! I don't think it was because I got something different than my original order, I think they might just being using more ice and less other stuff to keep costs down - either way, it sucked. I can not begin to express my disgust with this Jamba Juice. I went I. And there several people looking annoyed waiting ahead of me. I ordered two smoothies. The service was painfully slow. I noticed that Mika, the employee was making a good amount more smoothie than would fit in the cups and then not even filling the cups. People had been waiting so long they didn't bother saying anything. When Mika handed me my sons child's smoothie I noticed there was at least a half cup extra. I asked if he was throwing away the extra. He said yes. I asked if we could just have it then and his response was he wasn't allowed to give the extra to customers. That is the policy at Jamba Juice. Throw away good food rather than give it to their customers. There are so many without food yet Jamba Juice it tossing it in the trash. There are better Jamba Juices out there. The juices taste watered down compared to the ones at the Jamba Juice I frequent in Huntington Beach. A couple of times, my drinks weren't completely blended either - I ordered a White Gummy and at the very bottom was a completely intact gummy. My friends and I tried their flatbreads and they were a little soggy... Their food isn't the main focus of Jamba Juice, but it could use some improvement. I do come to this location often because Im in the area a lot. They are pretty consistent in their drinks as well as the service. The staff is always nice and helpful when I can't make up my mind and then decide to get the same thing I always get. (Yes, nightmare customer) Also, they give the customer the over mix, like whatever is too much to fit in your cup they give you the rest in a little cup. The other stores in the area don't do it or they make too little and it doesn't even fill the cup I ordered. If there are kids around in the store I'll give it to them. I just like that they don't waste it. What always seems to be the case at this location, is they are always...and I mean 8x out of 10 times when I come here, mopping the floor and it smells like bleach. So, I guess I can safely assume the place is sanitary. Its just the cleaning product smell may be a turn off. But who sits and drinks anyway, most of us get it and go. So you'll only have to endure the smell for a few minutes. Another thing I noticed is..it is always FULLY staffed. And its a very small store. There is an employee for each task. 1 @ Register, 1-2 at least Smooty-ing, 1 in the back, I think they're washing dishes and if not that, mopping the floor. Makes for an efficient running store.
