So, this little café/bar area is always changing names.... right now it's James Dean Sports Bar. Decor and atmosphere is 10/10 We decided to try this place out: -live dj was really good -friendly waitstaff, however waitress could have spent less time dancing around to the music and more time being a little more attentive to our table -decently priced menu, however we ordered Loaded Fries which were supposed to come with beans on top, and there were [literally] five beans on the fries . the fries themselves were good If it weren't for the bartender Albert, I would give 1-2 stars for our experience. Albert was very helpful, friendly and whipped up some awesome drinks for us while we were there...in my opinion, he and the dj are keeping this place alive.

Old fashioned

Growers has a good setup--the bar is very lively and full, but it's not the first thing you see when you walk in, as it's off to the side. We had a nice booth, complete with real flower in a glass, and were served promptly by a pleasant lady. She helped me choose my entree, and was attentive and accommodating throughout our meal. I had the chicken Marsala, which is the best I've ever had (and I often order it in restaurants.). My husband had the bone-in pork chop. We had crème brûlée for dessert. Everything was tasty and very well prepared. The restaurant has a very pleasant feel, with lots of dark wood and nice furniture. If I lived nearby I'd come often.

Server was attentive. Full bar serving wine, beer, and cocktails. Located in old town Salinas -- I was told this spot is one of Salinas' oldest establishments occupying the same building from when it was founded in 1940. Hope they make it to 100 years! Also, my friend said this spot is known for their prime rib. I'll have to make it in one day to try for myself.

Menu it appears they're willing to change by trend. We all had burgers, but we double burgers or split burgers. Soda is refilled, except handcrafted sodas. In the future; might want to research seasonal coleslaw or broccoli-slaw for change up of side menu salads. Other: fried or steamed vegs as possible finger food. Portion side, it was expected. Shio liked the bacon melt leftover. I found out what was missing alfalfa sprouts made taste elevated. Not sure if they would add pan fry egg as optional item. Server was good, he explained things better, and ambiance wasn't too noisy to hear him. Server did say you can seating arrangement is up to customers. Noon time on Saturday seems like less busy, my brother was telling us, hard to get in, reserve spot, and appears like that way only if there was a live game it said so in commercials. Packed to where ppl were waiting in line get in. They do work hard making place clean. Thank you for the good food it was yummy. Edited at desktop, mobile doesn't allow much for spellcheck. Note: 1-star rating ppl might have gone when it was live game. Suggestion go when it's lunch or game days are re-played. Patience is a virtue, try to eat more when you go out. There is ton of food on menu besides the wings.

My family and I recently visited Buffalo Wild Wings in Salinas, and unfortunately, we had a very…read moredisappointing experience. We ordered food from the restaurant for our family, but my daughter had brought her own meal because she doesn't eat the type of food they serve. While we were patiently waiting for our order, the manager approached my daughter and told her that she needed to throw her food away or finish it as quickly as possible. We understand that restaurants may have policies regarding outside food, and we respect that. However, the way the manager spoke to my daughter was extremely rude, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary. There was no kindness or courtesy in the way the situation was handled. Good customer service is not only about following policies but also about treating customers with respect. This experience left us feeling unwelcome, and because of the manager's attitude, we will think twice before returning.
