One word to describe Dr. Roma Franzia - LIFESAVER!…read more Honestly though, Dr. Franzia is an amazing doctor. She is knowledgeable, direct, comforting and a problem solver. My husband and I (first time parents) brought our six week old son to Dr. Franzia after going through two different pediatricians that provided no solutions to our problems. I called Dr. Franzia's office and was immediately set up with an appointment to see her. Within minutes of observing my son, she diagnosed him and had him on a plan to get him on the right track. My son has a milk protein allergy and acid reflux. She knew what his issues were and knew exactly how to treat them. Dr. Franzia was so positive and supportive to my family. She saw my son for the first time on a Friday and I called her crying the very next day and she was so supportive, so confident that we were doing the right thing for my son and she gave me the confidence I needed and reassured me to stick with our plan and my son would be better in no time. Dr. Franzia and her staff worked with my insurance company (we all know how annoying insurance companies are) and dealt with them to help us with prescription formula for my son because of his allergy. She wrote letters to the insurance company, answered phone call after phone call from us and them. She really goes beyond the average doctor. She is genuine and caring about children, she treats our son like she would treat her own children. I honestly can't say enough about what Dr. Franzia has done for my family. My son is a thriving, healthy, happy baby boy that melts my heart every time he smiles and I have Dr. Franzia to thank for that smile! A true heartfelt thank you Dr. Franzia from my family!

My kids told her on our last trip there that she was their favorite doctor (and that's before she told them that they were going to get a lollipop). I'd highly recommend Dr. Nelson. She even comes in on her off days to catch up on all her emails. She's very responsive. We had an incident 2 years ago and the care she gave my child was amazing. You can definitely tell that she loves what she does and truly wants what's best for your child. She's not quick to jump on medications or anything, sometimes, it's just rest and plenty of liquids for a common cold. We have also seen Dr. Levin when Dr. Nelson wasn't available (sick call) and he's amazing as well. Melissa, the nurse is really nice (and my kids always ask her if they need to get a shot). I should say sorry for my son kicking you 3 years ago when we had to give him a shot - sorry! He's definitely got more comfortable and does not kick anymore - yay! Love everything about this practice. I just wished I could get my flu shots here too with the freezy spray!

She is so caring and responsive....and literally a text/call away at all times. She quickly makes you feel cared about and welcome. Dr. Rappaport and her assistant, Beth, have refined the drudgery of taking a kid to the pediatrician's office by cultivating a relaxed, welcoming, and warm office setting. That approach is central to their patient care. Whether it's for a yearly check-up or a sick visit--the high standards are the same. I believe Beth typically says, "when can you come in?" It's unusual in any business, let alone medicine, to find someone who looks to accommodate my schedule. Once we are there, both Beth and Dr. Rappaport take the time to listen to our concerns. They are in no hurry; I never feel rushed or flustered that I haven't had all of my questions answered. The care is exceptional. Dr. Rappaport has a common-sense approach and impeccable medical knowledge. She's never alarming, always measured, and extremely compassionate. It's clear she is not just a doctor, but also a mother, who relates easily to her patients and their parents. In addition, she has built a marvelous rapport with my boys. She has cared for them since they were toddlers--they are now very active 8 year old twins. She's as thorough with their physical exam as she is with their mental well being; dealing with topics such as bullying. She gives them (and us) clear-cut, age appropriate advise on how to deal with it. I don't typically write reviews, but I was compelled to do so in this case. This is a different style of medicine than I have ever experienced. I'm so grateful to be a part of it, and I believe it's worth letting others know that the run to the pediatrician's office doesn't have to be a frantic, impersonal, or harried experience.

To start, every time I go there with my children, I wait about 30min - 45 min, even though I come on time. Most importantly, the quality of care is nothing spectacular, but what separates them apart is the money-grabbing attitude. The whole business is built on charging exuberant fees and making insane profits made on sick children. During the last visit, I've waited 45 min, came with both of my daughters for suspicion of strep throat. Doctor Varghese saw both of them for no more than 5 min in total, prescribed two tests, and charged around $500, which included $310 for the "office visit" At this rate, just office visits alone would yield $3,720 / hour! The office staff is unprofessional, the billing department refused to make any adjustment to the bill, stating that it took time for the doctor to call me and to leave a voicemail about the test results! I would not recommend this office to anyone with a high deductible policy, anyone who is looking for a bit more than mediocre care at an inflated cost, anyone who values their time, convenience, and care for their children.
