I've driven past Jameson's a few times on Main St. and it's always looked like it has a great atmosphere and laid back vibe. I checked out the menu beforehand and they had a bunch of great options! I went with the prime rib wagyu burger and it tasted amazing. Perhaps one of the best burgers I have had in awhile. It'll be difficult to try anything else here because the burger was simple that good. However, I do want to give the shepard's pie a shot or the prime rib entree. The outdoor setting was also really chill. They have a great make shift set-up that offers plenty of seating and good vibes all around. Shout out to our server Paige who was also very friendly and did a great job. I would suggest to anyone to check out Jameson's ASAP. It was only my first time here and I definitely want to make another trip out ASAP. read more

Came here for happy hour and the place was really crowded. That wouldn't be an issue if the wait staff could handle it, but the service was lacking a lot. Hard to get the waitresses attention when we needed her. Also the bill was very confusing and the waitress couldn't tell us what the prices of drinks were supposed to be. I asked her what a well margarita costs and she didn't know so I had no way of telling if we were overcharged as the menu didn't list the prices either. Also happy hour ended two hours earlier than advertised. They said it was because it was a holiday weekend but it was a Friday and the holiday wasn't until Monday. The nachos use fake watery cheese. LOCAL Sant Monica CA IRISH BAR POPULAR WITH SINGLES... The food is not bad. I think it is Thursday night they have an all you can eat prime rib dinner. I had that, and it wasn't bad. Don't get it too late though if you like it rare. later on they are cutting from the end, which is well done. Also, they have "Live Band Karaoke" . So this is fun too, but they may not know the song you want to sing. I found myself going down my list of songs. "No, we don't do that one...No not that one either..." and so on, Anyway I think we finally settled on something, and frankly, I can't remember what it was. I must have had fun though as I was horse the next day. Service was fine although not memorable. The place gets REALLY crowded as the evening wares on. If you want dinner go at like 6. If you want the pick up scenes that seems to start around 9 or 10. Anyway, It's fine. I feels like four stars. Not very scientific, but, just feels that way. Came with my friend to enjoy a few drinks. Misplaced my id and showed the manager my id on my phone. Proceeded to show the manager multiple forms of identification and he saw gift cards in my hand and proceeded to ask me to give them to him upon contingency to enter. When I refused, he adamantly denied entry. I then stated what he was doing is considered illegal due to accepting bribes. I then refused to give him my gift cards and once again reiterated this is illegal practice and left the establishment. Do not give these people your business and stay clear. The Owner should really reconsider the individual who he's hired to "manage" this establishment. read more

Women are not safe here. Men who molest women are. I went here for the first time last night. There were two men standing in the women's bathroom line. They were touching every woman in line. All of the women were telling them not to touch us. After I said this, and told them to go in the men's line, one of them groped me. There was a staff member standing right between the men and women's bathrooms. I told him what happened and he did nothing. I asked if he was going to do anything about it, and his response was to ask the men to apologize to one of the women. I was shocked that they were not immediately thrown out, so I went and told who I think is the manager what happened. The manager came over. I'm not sure if he did anything, but I definitely did not see the two men get kicked out. They should be banned and the staff member who allowed this should be fired. Women beware. read more

Amazing! We were visiting Venice Beach and looking for a sit down restaurant on Xmas day. Most things were closed so we were limited. So glad we chose them! We ordered a couple drinks / beers. I got the soft pretzel and Buffalo cauliflower. My partner got the shepherds pie and fish and chips. The food was amazing! I was not impressed with the cauliflower but that was my fault for reading the description wrong. It was still wonderfully cooked, I was expecting breading. My bad! I took half my pretzel to go and ate on it the next day. The service was FAST and they were great. It was packed and we didn't wait for anything, we also did not feel rushed. I definitely recommend. Loved the pub last Sunday, and particularly loved the Irish nachos. Ordered them with the suggested steak substitution, which was sadly forgotten. The service was meh - no checking back if everything was alright or if I wanted another drink - at the bar. I got​ the check and all I had was either the exact amount with no tip or a larger bill where I would have to wait for change. As no one cared to check in 15 mins I was very tempted to leave without tip, which I generally find rude to do. Thankfully, the waiter eventually showed up and got me sorted. read more

This past weekend my friend and I had a very upsetting/shocking encounter with a worker at Jamesons. My friend identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns. While waiting in line with me for the restroom, DAMIEN, approached my friend while they were minding their own business and proceeded to misgender them, insisting that they were a girl and that they couldn't tell him otherwise. He went on to say that if they didn't have male genitalia, then they couldn't be a man. This behavior was disrespectful, discriminatory, and extremely hurtful. It was a violation of their basic human rights and dignity. I found another male employee who was working there, but unfortunately, I didn't get his name. I asked to speak with the manager and he pointed at him saying he was dealing with something else. After I briefed him on the situation, he told me with a smirk that there was nothing they could do about it. It is particularly concerning to hear that this incident occurred in 2023, as we should be far beyond the point of having to educate people about the importance of respecting all gender identities and expressions. I will no longer be giving any business to this bar and I hope to spread the word to as many people I know. Jamesons, do better. read more

After vetting the reviews it doesn't surprise me anymore with my own personal experience at Jameson's on 9/10/2023. I went with some buddies to watch the NFL games and during the time there I typed in my drinks on my Notes app so I knew my order. After the first wave of games were over, I asked the waitress if I could CASH OUT with her and then gave her $115 (tip included). She mistakenly thought I was wanting to reorder my ENTIRE ORDER and proceeded to bring back on a tray 3 bloodys, 2 PB shots, 1 blue moon, 1 black and blue, and 1 Guinness. Logically speaking it doesn't make ANY sense why I would've reordered my entire order that was over the duration of time between 10am-2pm AND after paying her my entire first order with CASH. After I mentioned we didn't want the drinks, one manager came over extremely rude to me and stated that I confused the waitress and that it was my fault EVEN THOUGH THE WAITRESS ADMITTED THAT SHE HAD THE MISTAKE!!! Shortly thereafter, another manager came over as well and persuaded to tell us that we were getting kicked out for not wanting to pay for an entire order's worth of drinks that the waitress openly annotated that she messed up! I've never been to Jameson's and experienced this before. Looking at the reviews this establishment seems to be a place where MISTAKES BY THEIR WORKERS ARE PLACED ON THE CUSTOMERS TO PAY FOR AND THAT'S NOT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT ANYONE DESERVES!!! This establishment needs a major managerial overhaul and to retrain their staff on if they're confused to relay the request back to the customer so there's no confusion even though the entire table stated that they heard me tell her I wanted to cash out the drinks that I had, gave her cash, and a tip included after. I had always wanted to try this place as I rode the bus past this place countless times and well today was the day. First of all, my server could not have been more knowledgeable and helpful. She alone made the experience enjoyable. The food well I ordered the prime rib tacos as a snack and well they were awesome. The tortilla chips were fresh fried just out of the oil and the horsey sauce with blue cheese had the right amount of spice. As for the Irish coffee it was great Jameson's Irish whisky is far better than Proper !2 and old Bushmills and two for one from 3 till 8 works well.
