Okay food but not much more. Salads were like out of a bag, simple, unimpressive. Chicken and waffles okay but chicken a bit dry. Few beers to choose from and mostly junk like Coors, Budweiser, and Miller. But the worst part was the lax attitude towards COVID-19. No masks required for customers and even the staff was only putting masks on as an uninspired empty gesture, only to pull them under their chins every now and then. Nobody in the kitchen seemed to be wearing a mask. I understand that this is rural Arkansas so most people are low education and low information, but it was still alarming. Our family of 4 enjoyed Jamie's on a Friday night. We were hungry out-of-towners looking for a good, quick meal. The food was really delightful, especially the pulled chicken. I enjoyed the Woo Pig sandwich, but my side salad never arrived. Our server was overwhelmed with too many tables taken the overall review down a bit. I ordered the Best Fried Chicken in the State and I think the name is really misleading. It is not at all the best one in the State..... It's the best in the Country!!!!! Best fried chicken I have ever tasted!! Perfectly crisped but somehow there was not grease anywhere in my plate and the meat was so tender and juicy. I got the mac and cheese and the vegetables as my sides. The mac was really tasty as well. For dessert I ordered the White Chocolate & Pecan Bread Pudin and it was amazing! Tonight was my first time dining at this establishment, as I'm here from the Carolinas visiting family. Upon arrival, with our large party, we were immediately welcomed by friendly staff and seated at a large table. The service staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Now onto the important part, the Food! While we all had several different things, I being the Southern Boy that I am got the "Broasted Chicken" Dark Meat and Fried Catfish. Now I'm usually pretty particular/judgemental about Fried Chicken when it comes to Restaurants. Is it Well Seasoned? Is it Greasy? Is it Crispy? Does the Breading stay on the Skin? And here are my thoughts... OMG!!! It was awesome! I think the chicken was brined as the flavor was all the way to the bone! It was Juicy, not Greasy, Crispy, Well Seasoned and soooo good! The skin was very crispy with a good crust. mmmm, My Grandma would have been proud! The only thing I needed was Hot Sauce, which they politely brought out! The Catfish was also well seasoned, cooked perfectly and very tasty! On my next trip, I'm going to make sure to visit this place again! I highly recommend it! Great restaurant with amazingly fresh food! We were able to accommodate my husband and daughter who love southern-American, home cooking fare, as well as myself (who enjoys healthier options). Today we called in a carry out order as we drove to Harrison giving them a window of time for my arrival. When I arrived my meal was ready. We drove another 30 minutes and waited 2 more hours to eat. I really really really wanted to be able to give this restaurant an excellent review; but, I just can't. Hubs and I arrived around 4:45p and were seated immediately. Ordered the Portabella mushroom appetizer which were over fried and batter was salty. He ordered a mushroom Swiss burger and it was over fried along with the mushrooms to the point where it was completely dried out. I ordered the senior catfish dinner which was two pieces of fried catfish, coleslaw and baked potato. The catfish was mushy and flavorless, coleslaw was overdressed, and a baked potato; well, it's hard to mess that up unless it's heated up leftover and this one was freshly baked. For dessert he got apple cobbler which was good and I got German chocolate cake which was also very good. I have tried Jaime's and I can say at this point, I will not return. read more

I try to support local and know Jamie and their family from years past but this trip is the last. my wife ordered a pick up and once the young girl who worked at the bar waited on an elderly woman (which I respectfully had 0 issues with) who came up after I was waiting. the young girl realized she had not turned in my order. frustrated but I understand Sunday rush and things happen. so we turned in the order and I called my sons who agreed to just come down and we would dine in. The blond who had been trying to fix the issue and respectfully pushed the order through called to ask another question about the order and I let her know the answer. l also let her know we would just dine in. the very pleasant brunette waitress sat us and took my drink order while my wife was using the restroom. when my wife returned the two blonds from the bar who are over to-go orders came over to tell us we couldn't dine in because we had placed a to go order. At this point I can no longer accept the incompetence. I would try to explain the ignorance of this action but considering the blond "in charge" walked off with my wife behind her mouthing us I would say the conversation would be lost. Unfortunately this is what happens when family restaurants branch out open locations all over. The care of the owners who know this town provided them with the support to grow and be successful no longer have the time to commit to find quality employees who share the same passion for keeping their business open. If you're expecting anything more than a "glorified" Chili's, you're going to be disappointed. I originally gave a three star rating but after thinking about the overall experience reducing it to two. Service was poor; after taking out order no one checked on us or brought drink refills. We had to ask about bread and the server said she "guessed" she could bring us Texas toast. My pork steak was far too salty and the batter tasted like something from a frozen meal. Really disappointed because this was our first time and we thought that it would be a little more upscale. There are several diners in town that are better than this. read more

My family of 5 (three kids under 12) ordered three meals and an appetizer. We all got sweet tea. There were no kid menu options offered to us, so as the mom I felt the need to share. It took 20 minutes just to get someone to acknowledge us sitting at the table. It took that long to get our food. When they brought two of our meals out, they informed us that they were out of what my husband had ordered. He wasn't going to wait another 20 minutes to get another meal. $53 and over an hour later we left still hungry. I felt obligated to tip because we are polite people, BUT we are typically big tippers, so this was a lost opportunity. The fried pickles were delicious and a great start. I liked that the drinks came in large mason jars added to the small town feel of the restaurant. I was a bit upset with the burger it was really well done and kind of broke apart while I was eating it. The service was pretty good but one entree did come eat earlier than the others. This is our go-to restaurant in Harrison. We always get good delicious food. We went there a couple of weeks ago and for the first time we were disappointed. We ordered the fried pickles, which were so delicious previously, but this time the coating was different, it was too thick and didn't taste as good. In addition, I ordered the sliders and the meat had been overcooked to the point of hockey puck consistency. We will give them another try, but probably won't order the fried pickles or sliders again. read more

What a fabulous find!!! We drove down to Harrison today because it's always a pretty drive to get down there. Once there, we stopped at a chain restaurant that we normally like - but were put off by the lack of cars in the parking lot. So we decided to go back to restaurant we had passed along the way - and discovered Jamie's. Both my husband and myself were beyond delighted with everything about the place, the food (FABULOUS) and our server (Dallas - awesome). Had never heard of deep fried bacon but, being a bacon lover, just had to give it a try! OMG - beyond wonderful. Then, to make up for that extravagance, ordered a strawberry and spinach salad - with grilled salmon. Can't even begin to describe how delicious it was. And my husband - a huge fan of both catfish and fried chicken - was delighted to have both! He also had blackberry cobbler for dessert (I was full!). We waddled out of there and couldn't wait to go online to tell everyone what a delightful find we had!! It's over an hour's drive to get there - but we'll be going back.....and soon!! read more
