Ok before I start I know this is a mall joint. However you would expect better from them. The food was tasteless I got the "chef's special ". Which was curry chicken . Very bland no flavor if any at all. I ordered coconut bread this really shocked me because it tasted like a mixture between Naan and white bread! So I asked for a spicy beef patty the young lady asked the guy in the back( more about him in a minute) and he just said no, she came back and said they were still out. Hadn't had any for days, ok So I order a jerk chicken beef patty and end up with a veggie beef patty. Unacceptable. Now for service the young lady at the country was excellent that is why I am giving the 2 stars. The cook in the back leaning over the table looking like he didn't want to be there at all was a joke. He seemed to very very rude and just didn't want to be there. I was the only one there why did it take over 15 minutes to heat up 1 patty and he still got it wrong! Do not go here, do not waste your money or time there are much better places to eat. read more

The chicken and ribs were tender and amazing as usual but they did not give me the Mac n cheese that I asked for via DoorDash. Really annoyed me. I did have a beef patty and the grease was plenty even though Pattie's are usually oily but not that dang much . But the sides were great and well seasoned. read more

I had given 5-star reviews to Jammin multi times when they were in Woodbridge, which set my expectation high. Jerk chicken, ribs, and wings were perfect. Things went downhill like bitcoin in Springfield. Everything seemed not fresh at all. The food court on Springfield is super busy but no one wanted to get food from them, even Caribbean/Jamaican folks got Popeyes instead. As a food court option? Perfect 5 star. As something I just had delivered via UberEats? More like a 3.5 but I'm still pretty damn satisfied. Jerk chicken is thighs city into strips. Decent heat, very good flavor (tho it's on the sweet side). Oxtail stew? Not a huge portion, but very very tasty and tender. Beef pattie is like a larger version of the 7-11 treat. Definitely higher quality and way more heat. Fried whiting was spot on. And actual whiting! But the sides are the hidden gem! That rice and peas (they're beans actually) is awesome - you can taste the coconut milk. The fried cabbage is great! The collards and yucca are excellent as well. read more

This was my first time going to Springfrield mall so i had no expectations. We were in the area and decided to have an impromptu movie date. We didn't have enough time to sit down at a restaurant so we visited the food court. I love Caribbean food so this place got my attention immediately. After looking over their delicious looking menu i opted for the fried salmon sandwich on coco bread. This meal came with one side and I ordered fries. I'm not gonna lie, i snuck this food into the theatre and the first thing i ate out of the box was the fries. That first fry hit my taste buds and i knew the rest would be history. LOL I ate all them fries! I usually dont. Then the bite of the sandwich. It knocked my imaginary socks off. LOL It was crispy, flavorful and the 2 sauces that were put on it made it even better. I think it was a jerk bbq and some type of aioli. My fiance ordered the same thing and was thinking about going back after the movie to take another sandwich home. Food is delicious, the jerk chicken sandwich on coco bread is amazing, super flavorful, a spicy kick which I love, service was awesome, super friendly, the wait a bit long but well worth it. Wayyyy back in the day, I used to look forward to going to Nationals games... hahaha not a diss on the Nats, but because Jammin Island BBQ used to be next to the Budweiser terrace, and the delicious aroma of jerk chicken and ribs grilling over an open fire would carry me up the escalator to my favorite ballpark food... I was so upset when they were replaced by a different BBQ spot. I reminisced on the delicious food every so often, but last weekend on a random fluke, I had to visit Springfield Mall and discovered that they had relocated to the mall food court! It blew my mind to be able to eat such incredible food at a food court. The jerk ribs are fall off the bone and perfectly smoky, with an incredibly delicious jerk sauce. Not only is the food delicious, but the portions are hearty. I am now going to be a mall person.. just to be able to come eat at this spot. And maybe grab a Cinnabon on my way out read more

Just ordered oxtail stew for $18 and am very disappointed. The bag was so lightweight I thought the driver forgot something just to open it and find 4 oxtails and very little stew. The cool mayo base slaw took my touge back to normal in a good way. Yamma fire were a little dry. Dipping into the soft sauce that it comes with and the left over jerk sauce was the perfect fix for it. The nice staff gave me recommendations and they do have good taste. With the small menu you aren't going to be having a hard time picking what you want. I think if they had doordash or uber eats options and people knew about this place. Idk if I heat went on and off day, but this is the worst Jamaican food I've ever gotten in my life. It's so bland I had to add salt and pepper. When I got there it wasn't a Jamaican in sight. Just some light skinned, short, straight haired people playing mariachi. Needless to say I will NEVER waste my money there again. It's sssoooo bland and my ox tails are not tender and falling off the bones and the carrots are undercooked as well. The only thing they got right was the plantains.
