One affected area got infected (I think because of the treatment actually but I don't blame the Dr for that really), so she had to come back and have a small procedure that included numbing some areas using medicine administered by a (tiny) needle. My daughter totally freaked! Shaking, sweating, crying, yelling at one point I'm sure. My 5 stars is 100% because of the way Dr Davis and her assistants handled my freaking out daughter. They treated her with kindness and patience, but also like a patient getting a small procedure done - that is, straightforward, confident, respectful. They explained everything they were doing and answered her questions factually. Dr Davis intuitively knew that "babying" her or brushing off her hysterical questions was not the way to go. She exudes a combination of warmth and professionalism that I appreciate. We will absolutely continue to see her.

I am a cancer survivor and current cancer patient. My mom had skin cancer. My longtime dermatologist retired, and I sought reviews for a competent doctor, one that takes their time and is meticulous and detailed. This doctor was recommended. She seems to have experience and good credentials. There are a few areas of concern on my skin, and given my many diagnoses, I am anxious when I go to any doctor. First, she was very quick. I think the whole exam took 5 minutes. She didn't seem concerned about my health history. She didn't ask what meds I was on or prior meds, one which heightens your risk of skin cancer. She didn't even look at the back of my legs or move my underwear. She commented on my prior tanning in my youth and gave me the customary talk about using sun screen. I brought up the areas of concern, but she wasn't interested, and kind of blew them off, no explaination. One area is prevalent on my face. As for the staff, they are young and neutral, no care. I have seen many doctors due to my health history, this is one I would never recommend. I will notify my insurance company about my visit as this was my annual, and I need to have another competent doctor re-do the exam.

I called the office manager, Nancy, to share my disappointment and ask for another appointment with a different doctor. The one star in this review is for Nancy, otherwise I would have given zero stars. Nancy was prompt, friendly, and tried to find a solution. When I was speaking with Nancy she read Dr.Almeida's appointment notes back to me where she said she examined the palms of my hands, my head, amongst other places. This is inaccurate as she did not do these things. I was offered another appointment with Dr. Almeida. I asked to meet with another doctor and the request was denied. I will be taking my business elsewhere. She does not deserve payment for the "examination" that gives her the "doctor" title.

After talking with friends and finding a highly respected dermatologist in Connecticut, I realized I had been taken advantage of, probably because of where I lived. I had my first appointment with Dr. Adebola Dele-Michael, and was totally amazed!!! (I'm not a person that's into that social media review stuff). However, I found it imperative to write a review, after my first visit with this wonderful doctor!! I wrote my first review on ZocDoc. I couldn't give Dr. Adebola Dele-Michael anything lower than a 5 star review. I've had my share of mediocre Dermatology visits/services in the past 15 years, that really didn't rock my boat! I had a severe chronic ongoing skin issue, that was very difficult to deal with. My stress, and anxiety level was on overdrive, I wasn't sleeping well, basic tasks were very difficult to do, and the medications, creams, pills, and injections that were given/prescribed to me,(only helped on a temporary basis). Long story short: I wasn't a happy camper...***Now to the bright side!! Dr. Adebola Dele-Michael's first visit was extensive. She asked me if I had anything planned for the day, and I told her no. She told me great...because you're going to be here for a good while. That was fine with me, I was open/desparate to anything at this point. I wanted to be freed from this chronic severe skin issue... which had me climbing the walls!!! She asked extensive medical questions in regards to my symptoms, medical history, family history, medications, treatments etc...There was blood testing done, pictures were taken of my skin, laser treatment performed, and I was also given a oxygen/hydrating gel mask treatment (which made my skin feel so much better). My insurance covered one treatment, and I paid for (4) additional treatments. That was fine with me. It soothed, and cooled off my skin, considering my skin was always FIRE!! She prescribed some medication, and gave me some samples to try until the following week. I had my appointment with Dr. Adebola Dele-Michael for the following week, to review my results. My skin was feeling a bit better. She read to me, the results of my lab tests. My lab results showed that I had a certain/serious autoimmune condition. Dr. Adebola Dele-Michael was very concerned, and started me on medication immediately!! I take this medication every day. Dr. Dele-Michael eventually prescribed a second medication as well. I got the next available appt. with a Rheumatologist 3 months after seeing Dr. Dele-Michael. (I was told by the Rheumotologist that these medications/dosages is what I needed). It's been 5 months, and I can honestly say, Dr. Adebola Dele-Michael has changed my life around!!!! It feels great to live a normal life again!!!! And I owe it all to her!!*** Now, I must mention all her staff (angels): Clinton, Olga, Ashley, and Tina. I can only brag about them!!! They're nothing but professional, patient, welcoming, compassionate, and always on point!! Their work ethics is beyond exceptional!! They're a great team!!
