This review is long overdue but my family and I have been going to Jan since 2015 with our maltipoo, Dusty. Before we went to Jan, he hated the groomer. He would growl and refuse to get out of the car and in general, he was not happy. We saw a total shift in demeanor with Jan. He still doesn't love his spa days but Jan was always so gentle with him and he mellowed out significantly under her care and he looks so cute, fluffy, and happy each time we pick him up. Jan has even pointed out new bumps and growths on him as he enters his senior years and I can't imagine Dusty's life without Jan. Wasn't sure where to take my little scaredy dog, Trixie, but she needed a nail trimming bad. One nail was curled all the way up into her toe and I wasn't really skilled enough to fix it myself. She's a little Pomeranian and she is kind of a timid baby and also the baby of the family so my wife would be very distraught if anything were to happen to her. I decided to contact Jan and see if she could help me out. First of all, let me say, Jan is tech savvy. She had me text her and was on the ball about replying and was tossing in emojis and everything. We made arrangements for me to bring in Trixie very easily and with relatively short notice. I took Trixie there and wasn't really sure how it would go but I left her there for a few hours as I decided to get the whole haircut and nail trimming taken care of. Jan was really friendly and all smiles and seemed totally confident so I felt pretty good about it but was still worried cause I left the family baby somewhere. LOL When it was time for pickup my wife and I decided we would see how Trixie was and then determine whether or not to ever go back based on if she seemed hurt or scared or whatever. Well, I can tell you that Trixie was totally fine when we got there. She seemed happy and not afraid of Jan at all. Not only that but she is all nicely trimmed up and extra soft plus her nails and paws look perfect! Jan did an excellent job! Trixie got a cookie at the end and then Jan also gave her a little bandanna and a toy so the dog was super spoiled and loved it! I would highly recommend taking your dog here if grooming isn't your thing and your little pooch is in need of a touch up. The price was very reasonable!! Less than I was expecting to be honest so that was an added bonus for sure. I will be hitting Jan up soon to see about taking my other dog there and more than likely asking her how often I should be bringing them in. I'm guessing once a month or something but I'll see what she says because she seems to really know her stuff and be trustworthy. Regardless, I think this is where my dogs will be going on a regular basis as long as Jan keeps her business open and I'm in the area. My Puppers Solaire does not like baths or being groomed in anyway. He is very strong for a small Yorkie. There is no way anyone in a PetSmart or any establishment of this type capable of handling him. Found Jan through Yelp! and was not disappointed. She is a certified pet esthetician who uses only the best European products (purity of products) on your pet. The shampoo and conditioner she uses from Italy smells fresh and clean for days and leaves his coat extremely soft. My Puppers just love her though he still puts up a fight; she remains calm and gentle in handling him. She spends a good 2 hours with your pet during the scheduled spa/grooming service. Your pet will look dapper with a new bow tie or bandana when you pick him up. Jan's prices are very reasonable, too. I've been looking for a place like this for my 3lb yorkie and I am so glad I found her on Yelp! My dog is so stressed and anxious after every grooming experience, that she usually hibernates for the next 2-3 days and becomes a little depressed. I think it is the fact that they put her in a cage to cage dry and she has to sit there for hours. Thank you Jan! I've been taking my two dogs, Mopsy and Choco to petsmart for all their grooming needs and each time was a nightmare for one of my dog. 2 groomers later and I finally found the best one. Jan did an amazing job with my one year old golden doodle. Cody, my puppy, looked the best I had ever seen him look. Jan was patient, sweet, and you can immediately tell she loves dogs. Being greeted by her sweet dog just makes you smile. Jan, you are the best and I am so grateful we found you.
