Thier motto "Best buns in town" JJ let me take the pic

Needed a place for breakfast and Jan's place popped up. Found it and place was busy but was able to get a seat at the counter. I got the crabmeat Benedict with a fruit side. Cyndi had an omelet stuffed and fluffy with side of potatoes and their homemade biscuits. JJ was our waitress and she was wonderful and didn't want for anything. Food was wonderful Definitely a plus for breakfast

Jan's Place is always a definite stop whenever we're in Jensen Beach! From the moment you walk in and smell the cinnamon buns baking, you know you're in for something special. We were seated right away, and the friendly staff made us feel instantly welcome. My husband had the smoothie, and it was spot on--just as delicious as the ones we make at home. I had the Sunrise Burger on an English muffin, cooked perfectly to a medium and bursting with flavor. The crispy, hot, perfectly seasoned French fries that came with it were the ideal side. Service was amazing too--someone was always coming around to top off drinks, and my tea stayed piping hot. Every visit here is consistently wonderful. Great food, great people, and that unmistakable small-town charm keep us coming back year after year

Great breakfast location. Upon arrival we were greeted and quickly sat. It was quiet, considering how busy they were. The food came out quite quickly and was quite delicious.Large portions with prices that are not too high.

This place is like an old school dinner/coffee shop. The service is great and you can tell locals come here and tourists return. This was our second visit. The drinks were ok but mostly juice, not much vodka. I had to add water to my bloody because it was too tomatoey. . The food is good, not great. The cinnamon rolls which they tout were very disappointing. Doughy and the icing didn't have great flavor. None of us were really impressed and probably will not make a third visit here.

Our gang of 4 enjoyed our return to Jan's Place. Brief wait, mid-day, off-season. Enjoyed Rib-eye Steak and 3 Eggs with potatoes and rye toast, breakfast tacos with chorizo, Fosters French Toast, and potato cakes on the side. All delicious. Funny, attentive service. Small gripe: Starting in November, switching to mandatory service fee in lieu of tips because of Florida's new minimum wage law. Expect other restaurants to follow. Credit card surcharge...now standard in Florida

Came with company from out of the country to our favorite place for breakfast. Everything about Jan's Place is done with precision. Each of us ordered something different. Our guest had the California Benedict, my son had the meat lovers omelette of which it was so large he could only eat half and I ate my fave the egg's Neptune Benedict of which I ate the whole breakfast and loved it all. The lobster sauce is second to none! The service is very special because everyone is happy and pleasant and really treats the guests with a special kind of caring and professionalism. The restaurant has a steady stream of customers and we received our table in order of our position- moves steadily and fairly!

I've been coming to this place for years as I found it on the first time I went to the Stuart Florida area. They always have the best breakfast which I get on a daily basis when I'm in town. Always friendly to my dog and make him his scrambled eggs along with my usual Neptune omelette. Do yourself a favor and visit

I AM back- and glad I am! Breakfast doesn't get much better than this. Freshly prepared food served in a great place. Love the handmade art pieces that are everywhere and are for sale! Can't wait until next year's visit!

    Salmon, crab, asparagus Benedict. Good!

Had another good experience at Jan's. Arrived late on a Friday afternoon - just before closing. Sat outside, had the BLT on sourdough instead of a croissant and salmon, crab, and asparagus eggs Benedict. Good food all around. My wife loved the poached salmon, the eggs were cooked perfectly too. My BLT was a haphazardly thrown together but who cares? Tasted good and fresh - works for me! The REAL treat? Sweet potato fries. These are the most unique and tasty sweet potato fries I've ever had. Thick cut, almost steak fries. DELICIOUS! Server was Drew - he was pleasant, helpful, and efficient. No complaints!

A year later and the food was still unbelievable. Service was spot on and still affordable. Had the Crab Cakes Benedict and they were great with nice cakes covered with a very smooth hollandaise. Nice visit again.

Was a casual diner vibe for breakfast. There were a lot of menu options to choose from with some unique specials. Service was quick as we went during the week so it was not very busy. Overall an enjoyable experience

    Homemade cornbeef Hash and eggs

Visited here this morning and found the place to be very clean and inviting. I had the Crab Cake Benedict and enjoyed it, my friend had the cornbeef hash and said he isn't accustomed to fresh homemade Hash but liked it. The service was very very good and friendly. Try it, and let us know what you think.

    Are the dog friendly?

Jan's has a small seating area outside the front of the restaurant. I believe dogs are OK there. TO be sure, just call the restaurant.

    Good espresso coffee?

A rich, smooth, French roast coffee and excellent cocktails. I don't recall expresso.

Glad she did! Super thin cracker crust. Not a traditional dough. Sauce is really good. There is something a tad different. Can't put my finger on it, but we really enjoyed the sauce! I have rated ALL of the other locations no less than 4 stars. The scene: Sunday evening with another couple. Arrived 15 minutes before the end of happy hour. The place was not crowded. The bartender/server/official apologizer took drink orders and a smoked fish dip starter. The dip arrived with drinks, including an unexplained cloudy draft beer. The dip was just meh- nothing special. Nothing made in house. The jalapeño slices and pepperoncini were standard and the packaged crackers were broken. It was 6:10 when our orders were taken. The place was starting to clear out but we noticed a large number of take out orders being picked up from food deliveries. Could this be causing our delay in getting our food? Our fish dip plate was never bused. We were finally offered a refresh of drinks. I asked for an iced tea. Nope. The machine was down. Another apology. About 7pm the manager/chef dashed out and...apologized for the delay. Said the kitchen was getting slammed. Yes, from the take out orders! Maybe they should take care of the seated diners first and give a realistic wait delivery time to the call in orders. Oh, and the manager....apologized....and said they couldn't serve the chicken piccata special because they were out of the egg wash. Read THAT again. Egg wash is eggs and water or maybe milk. It's a simple recipe. And. they. were. out. Our eye rolls made clicking sounds like a doll's eye sockets. By 7:35 our entrees arrived. Not with jubilation but with that sickening feeling you get when the doctor re-enters your exam room without a smile. My entree was cold. Another's burger was undercooked and came with the wrong side. The piccata replacement of fish tacos was okay and I forgot what the other entree was because too much time had passed. The bartender/server suggested dessert like she knew our answer. 8:00pm we paid a slightly reduced bill, bumped into some Door Dash guys and left very disappointed. Oh, the one star is for the ambiance: in the old Jensen Beach Hotel. Summary: Not THIS location.
