It was a long 24-year wait, but Marble Falls finally ended up with a place to eat exceptional Mexican food*. We had been extremely impressed with everything about this eatery. We were regular customers and visited several times each month. That all changed last week after dinner. If you've ever had food poisoning, you know the symptoms and the timeline. My wife ate the enchiladas verdes. A few hours later, she became violently ill and was very sick throughout the next day. She was sure the cause was spoiled chicken. I contacted the restaurant via email to let them know, primarily because I didn't want anyone else to get sick. They never responded. I guess it was great while it lasted, but we will never eat there again. We just hope we won't have to wait another 24 years to eat Mexican food in Marble Falls. * We love Agustino's food trailer for breakfast and lunch. read more

I feel like Jardin is the PLACE to be when you're in MF. It seems like everyone goes there and after we left the Walkway of Lights on Christmas Eve, it was a LOOONG wait. We actually had placed a take out order of entrees and margaritas to go since we have LOVED Jardin in the Austin Anderson Mill location and was so surprised to see their footprint in Marble Falls! The same great food, same prices and yummy portions, we loved our time and service there and was very pleased to see the abundance of people keeping them busy. They have some outdoor seating areas and a cozy space inside and it gets packed during your peak dinner and HH times. We enjoyed our take out food, and also our dine in service while inside, and enjoyed a comfort we were familiar with while we stayed in Marble Falls. read more

our waitress was very rude, as my hunny had just sat down she came behind to serve the table behind us and dropped a water off of her tray which splashed our whole table including the backside of his shirt. Her apology was very unsympathetic, as she went to refill our drinks she rudely poured and refilled a cup that clearly did not need to be filled . Her comment really took the cake when my hunny asked for the bill she smirked and said I spilled water down your back and you're the on pay the bill and then on top of that there was an 18% Gratuity added to the bill On a party of 8 . We came on an early Saturday evening and were seated immediately. They probably should've been on a wait though, as our server was way too busy, and we had to ask multiple times for some items. The food was mostly good - the salsa is kind of bland, but their green salsa has some kick to it. My boyfriend and I shared chicken fajitas and they were seasoned well, and very yummy. It was nice that we both got toppings/sides with our order. Overall I think they just needed more staff to really best care for their customers. read more

This is my second time eating here for lunch. As much as I want it to be good it's just okay. The chips and salsa are good but the entree is not up to my expectations. I had a taco salad with shredded chicken, in a tortilla bowl with lettuce, tomato, cheese, guacamole, and sour cream. The shell was stale, the tomatoes were mushy, the chicken was boiled and my first bite was a piece of chicken fat. Yuck!! I love Mexican shredded chicken when it's done right and this was not. No wait. So far so good. I'm writing this review as our experience unfolds. Coffee excellent. Tea excellent. Brought us out chips n salsa (crispy chips just the right amount of heat in the red salsa) and it's 10:30am. Great service so far. Order was taken quickly. While we waited, a different waitress came over and asked if we wanted more chips n salsa. She had a scoop full of chips and put them in the basket and a pitcher full of salsa that she used to refill our snazzy container. They use American cheese on most dishes. We didn't mind. Bean and cheese tacos are my litmus test for most restaurants. This place passes with flying colors. The potato and egg taco i didn't dig too much. They used hashbrowns for the potatoes. My wife loved her enchiladas. My son had chicken fajita taco and a bean and cheese taco. Overall a great experience. Not sure why it wasn't showing up on Yelp we just happened to find this place. Do not come here on weekend or when place is packed. Floors and tables disgustingly dirty. Cheese quesadillas took 1 hour to get!?!?!? I could have made them myself. Actually could have driving to the grocery store, bough ingredients, gone to target and gotten a toaster/oven, driven back to restaurant, cooked it and my food still would not have been ready. Lot of kids screaming because parents here are clueless. It's worse than Chuck E. Cheese, total horrible atmosphere. Don't come here hungry. read more

Great little lunch spot in Marble Falls. My wife and I stopped in for lunch as we passed through Marble Falls. We sat outside on the sidewalk. It was a nice little area and the weather was great! There are about 6-7 tables that overlook Main St. As far as the food goes, it was very good! I enjoyed the steak fajita nachos! The meat was tender and flavorful. Also a major plus was there were plenty of jalapeños! My wife had the chicken chimichanga. She loved it. We ended up here after Riverside Grille was so crowded but we're glad it happened. OK. Have to say this was one of the best Mexican restaurants we have eaten in Texas. We had not seen this place located in downtown historic Marble Falls, but it looked busy (even with social distancing). We sat down and ordered a couple of margaritas to start the meal. Excellent is a good description. Would need to use your camera to access the menu via a QR code, and we choose a chicken tostada and a couple of chicken enchiladas and must say, both very tasty and the enchiladas may have been the best I have ever eaten. The food was okay Tex Mex-good enough to satisfy a craving. I would have given it 3 to 4 stars. HOWEVER, upon reconciling my credit card bill, the charge on the card and my receipt don't match. The server tipped himself extra. This is not a good way to do business. Check your credit cards charges asap! I'm reconciling mine a couple of months after the fact. The extra tip wasn't that much, and it wasn't a mistake as it was a whole number (think 20.00 versus 18.60.) This is the second time I've discovered tip rounding. The people doing it must be counting on customers not checking their receipts against their credit card charges. FYI: I don't know if this is standard practice at the restaurant, but on the receipt, the server name is listed as "cashier." Be sure to note the name of your server if it doesn't appear on your receipt in case this is just one person perpetrating this dishonesty. read more

Yep, I'm a local. I eat here at least once per week. While I do like most items on the menu, I have to say that the carnitas are my favorite. They're tender, flavorful, and the spicy verse salsa is like icing on the cake. I like to enjoy it with a large premium margarita made with Don Julio Silver, but you do you. We were the first people to arrive at 11am on a Saturday. The waitstaff was great, very attentive and polite. Our waitress was so good she never had to write anything down. Because it was our first visit we decided to order off the ala carte menu. Salsa was good, beef fajita was horrible, crispy taco was mediocre, chicken enchilada Suiza had bland chicken and spicy sauce. Best thing we ordered was shrimp enchilada with verde sauce. This is a proxy review. The wife, mother-in-law, and other family members stopped here. I opted to dine across the way alone. The positives are the location. Right on the corner of the main thoroughfare downtown. Easy to get to and easy parking. The patio. About 6 tables with umbrellas. Nice to sit outside and dine while people watching downtown shoppers. The restaurant itself was clean and spacious enough for large parties One, Two, and Three stars. I arrived and sat with them after the margaritas and before the food was delivered. Four ladies with margaritas flowing and shopping on the mind could be a fun day. The margaritas were small and not very flavorful. After the wife had about 10 sips, it was all ice. The fish tacos smelled very fishy. I know what that sounds like but, fish should not have a strong fish smell. The mother-in-law pushed it aside. She is a finicky eater, which explains the wife's eating habits. She is also a great cook and I trust her judgement. The rest of the party didn't seem too excited about their meals either. Being the only man at the table and with nothing to add to their shopping experience, I sat quietly and just watched. Meals being picked at and left without much interest. Made me glad I dined elsewhere. I don't want to be too harsh since I didn't taste any of the food; but, from where I sat, I probably will not be back with the wife. What a crying shame...the food here has always been fair to middling, but the service WAS always outstanding. Not so nowadays... My wife and I just wanted to stop in, grab a couple drinks, have some queso, and relax. Got our drinks pretty quickly and the queso followed about five minutes later. So far, so good... Until, we asked our waitress for another basket of chips. After waiting fifteen minutes, I got up, went to the bar, and got them myself. No apology, no excuse, and not even a thank you once we paid the check. Oli's might have limited hours, but their food is an order of magnitude better and the service is outstanding.
