What a cool place that kind of looks like a garden nursery or landscape business from the outside. It's just a couple blocks off the perimeter of downtown Denedin. They offer fresh , smoked chicken with South American sides ( rice. Plantains Beans , sweet potatoes). Everything was delicious but the ambience makes it extra special . The seating is 100% outdoors but protected and intimate because of pergolas and vines and lots of greenery . The owner runs the smoker but he also carved wood and made the furniture and all of the beautiful carved tikis and poles . They have a tomato sauce that is mayo based and a celery sauce that is more refreshing. The hot sauce is definitely hot but flavorful. Sangria was also great, definitely fresh. What a great experience. We stopped by originally just to have a couple glasses of sangria to listen to the live music before moving and ended up staying for an hour and half to eat, drink and dance. Tried the steak and chicken - both were outstanding and very reasonably priced. You order at the window and they bring it out to you. Owners could not have been any nicer. This is such a cute Tiki style spot with outdoor seating. Very friendly staff and very good service. I ordered a half chicken with rice and tostones. The chicken was very flavorful, well-seasoned and cooked perfectly. I wasn't a fan of the rice. It's supposed to be crispy rice but the texture just tastes undercooked. The tostones were a lot thinner than I'd like and am used to having. But overall the food was very good. I'd definitely come back. read more

This is a trailer kitchen w an adjacent outdoor dining area that looks good and has potential to be a good spot. The young lady taking the order at the trailer has such a bad attitude in English and Spanish, we tried both. Treated us w/ complete indifference. I ordered a 1/2 chicken w/ white rice, salad and a beer. I had to pay in advance and tipped,( regrettably). We asked if they had wine/ vino and the lady said "what"?- repeated and she answered no. I received a 1/4. chicken w two pieces instead of a half chicken. The salad was an afterthought of spring mix w 1/4 slice of a tomato. The rice was similar to the boxed Mex rice can get at Publix. Twice had to go up and ask for my beer and was treated w cold indifference. The chicken was OK, the best part of the meal but truly the service made one feel so UNWELCOMED. Mgr was told and refunded the meal. Confirmed the lady has customer service issues. Also the salsa radio station was too loud. I don't want to hear loud commercials about medical clinics in Spanish, lower the volume or use a sound track service. I want this place to do well but they need to improve. Dunedin deserves better and they can do better. read more

Ive been wanting to try this place for a long time but it has limited open hours. I finally got a chance today. The service was very friendly and happy and the patio is absolutely adorable! However there ought to be a few more fans, maybe a few misters, to break up the heat. It is very shady and that certainly helps, but the heat still needs to be circulated. We ordered a whole chicken with 4 sides--Green Plantains, Fried Plantains, Fried Yucca, Rice/Beans. Were were brought 3 small container of sauces with it. Our chicken was brought cut up, but unfortunately it was so charred and over cooked that both wings were completely inedible, so we lost out on 2 pieces of a whole chicken. It was very dry and required quite a bit of sauce but there really was only enough sauce for one person. We decided to just take it home so we could cut it up mix with our own sauce and make burrito with it. So, $50 later, and we're making our own sauce and meal. Could've bought a roasted chicken at Publix for $8 and saved some money. However, all the sides were quite delicious so I highly recommend those. Maybe choose a quesadilla or empanada if you want to eat here, skip the chicken. read more

Hidden gem in Dunedin! Passed by a few times and decided to give it a try for lunch. Walking in feels like walking into a Latin garden fiesta. The vibe and setup of this place transported me to another place. You order at a window and then take a seat at one of the many hardwood tables in the garden area. The music was fun and lively. We all felt like we were on a vacation. Now, let's talk about the food. Amazing!!! The open fire chicken was cooked perfectly and the flavor was on point. I got the fried plantains which were perfect and beans. These were some of the most flavorful beans that I've had in a very long time. Would pair great with their rice. Finally, I added a chicken empanada that was yummy and even more so after a dunk in one their three sauces. It took long time to get our food, and not served together as a meal. Rice and beans brought out. 1/2 hour later chicken arrived. The weather was extremely hot, and humid. OMG! Absolute worse experience ever... First of all, you go up to a window to order which is fine but a board next to the window with the menu written on it, you can not read at all. When I mentioned that to the guy taking our order, he said that is how you write English words in a Spanish style! The chicken is good, I will give them that... My Mom ordered the quesadilla and she said it was gross. I got the salad as one of my sides and they only have one kind of salad dressing which is horrible! When I went up to the window to ask them if they had any other kind of salad dressing, they said they had caesar dressing... I said that would be great and they proceeded to pour some caesar dressing out of a bottle in to a plastic cup, not very authentic. Then, I ordered the sweet potato fries as my other side and they definitely were not fries! They were more like sweet potato bites and they were mostly burnt... 75% of them were cooked until they were black and inedible. They have two waitresses and both of them speak Spanish only! Neither one of them spoke any English so anytime you would ask them for anything, they would bring you the wrong thing... I asked one of them for some more caesar dressing so I didn't have to go back up to the window again myself and because she did not understand any English, she brought me the same horrible dressing that I received originally with my salad in the first place. Our dinners were around $20.00 each which was very disappointing! We could have gone somewhere that we really like for dinner and got wonderful food for that price... Btw, they have absolutely no parking what so ever, very inconvenient. read more
