    Chicken empanadas and platanos maduros
    Celia B.

This place is definitely a hidden gem! This little shack serves some of the best Puerto Rican-style food we've had. The empanadas were absolutely on point, and the plátanos maduros were perfectly cooked. They even serve each item with dipping sauces that pair perfectly with the food. The service was fantastic, our food came out quickly, and you could tell everything was made fresh. The tropical atmosphere and Spanish music really tied the whole experience together and made it feel authentic and welcoming. This is definitely one of our new favorite spots, and we'll absolutely be back. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and give this place a try--you won't be disappointed!

Super busy place and parking is definitely a premium in this area. Once we found a spot I love the outdoor little garden area. We ordered empanadas (which are really large) both beef and chicken. The beef was much better than the chicken. The chicken just had an odd seasoning. They were also pretty greasy. The sauces though were not something I would try again. The one tasted like Thousand Island Dressing, the next a hot mustard and the last was very mayonnaise like. The sangria was very good and probably would have ordered another but the line here moves SUPER slow. I would come back but mostly to try the sides and it is hard to predict because they do selll out of things.

This is a great hidden gem in Dunedin. You order at a window and sit outdoors. The patio looks very authentic Mexican jungle ish with beautiful plants all around. The service was very quick and efficient. Not a ton of English speaking servers but that's okay- we managed just fine. The broasted chicken was literally so moist and delicious. It had an amazing semi spicy favor. I also had the corn on the cobs and beans. Those beans...yummm!! Also topped it off with a sangria which I HIGHLY recommend. It was not busy at all but if you want an authentic meal in Dunedin without all the touristy crowds- this place is for you.

Came back to try it again and was impressed all over! Service was quick and food was served fresh. Plenty of outdoor seating and covering. Definitely try the empanadas and rotisserie chicken! So delicious.

Jadin de Pollos is a whole vibe. Loved the casual atmosphere with friendly staff. There seemed to be a bit of a language barrier when ordering food but it is manageable. Food was delicious, especially the plantain. Chicken had good flavor, just not a lot of it. Whatever the fruit drink I ordered was yummy and cold. Overall, I enjoyed my meal. It has an artistry shop attached so you can buy some Bolivian art. Don't let the construction in front deter you as it is temporary.

The chicken was amazing, so flavorful! Yucca fries were so crispy and yummy, and the plantains and fries were delicious. The sauces they serve it with were great too! I ordered the passion fruit drink and it was so refreshing, perfect for a summer day.

Casual ambiance... lots of outdoor seating and fun Latin music playing in the background. Walking distance from downtown Dunedin! They specialize in chicken and mine was amazing. You can order a partial or full chicken. I got 1/4 chicken with plantains and rice! The price wasn't bad either ... my total was $17 with a soda. Friendly staff, too. ¡Muy bien!

When I entered, there was only one person waiting for food and the manager owner. Whoever told me that they only had takeout available because they didn't have a server. Then he stated that if I wanted to eat in, I could order in this eat at the table just nobody would be able to serve me. I said that was all right. He was nice enough. We didn't talked about whether I wanted hot sauce or not and I said yes I do. He brought out a bottle of their homemade hot sauce so I'm ready to go. I ordered two of the Birria Tacos with shrimp and a Birria quesadilla with shrimp. I have to say that the services really excellent the gentleman was very friendly open. Ask how my day was going. Ask what I was planning to do for the day. The food was around $33 and you can see the amount I got for that price. Well, now it's time to try it. Started with the tacos ate the first one just dipping it in the sauce and it was good then I added the hot sauce. They're special sauce and that has a hit to it. It is not too hot so that you can't eat it, but it will clear your sinuses I like it. Hot sauce is the way to go. both the quesadilla and tacos was great having a broth adds to the flavor plus with the tiny Ines of the hot sauce magnificent. Well, now I'm going to finish my food and I will give this place 4 1/2 stars.

Casa Tina: I Came for Tacos, Left Questioning My Life Choices (in a good way)…read more Let me just say this--Casa Tina is not a restaurant... it's a spiritual journey with chips and salsa as your guide. We sat down and within seconds, chips and salsa hit the table like they were on a mission. Not just any salsa--this stuff tasted like someone's abuela personally supervised the tomatoes. I blacked out for a bit and came to... basket empty. Respect. We ordered like we had zero self-control: Queso Fundido - melted cheese with chorizo?? I would like to formally apologize to my arteries. Worth it. Casa Ceviche - fresh, bright, and made me feel like I suddenly understood the ocean Yucca Fries - crispy, golden, and honestly... why are regular fries even trying anymore? Then the mains came out and everything got serious. I had enchiladas (don't ask which ones, I was emotionally overwhelmed), and they were covered in a sauce so good I considered asking for a side of it to take home and bathe in. Someone else got the Mole Poblano, and I'm pretty sure I watched them have a full spiritual awakening mid-bite. Like... eyes closed, head tilted, rethinking life decisions. Another hero at the table ordered Tacos de Birria, dipped them in consommé like a seasoned professional, and I immediately knew I've been eating tacos wrong my entire life. Also--whoever invented the option to mix and match everything on this menu clearly woke up and chose chaos (the best kind). You want beef, chicken, jackfruit, shrimp, AND portobello? Go off. Live your truth. The vibe? Colorful, chill, and feels like a place where you accidentally stay for 3 hours because you ordered "just one more thing" 7 times. Service? Incredible. The staff somehow knew exactly when we needed more chips, more drinks, and more emotional support. Dessert? Yeah... we didn't need it. We got it anyway. Fried Ice Cream - illegal levels of delicious Churros - I would fight someone over these and I'm not proud of it AI Review Summary (but honest): Food: Ridiculously good, borderline life-changing Portions: Generous enough to ruin your plans for the rest of the day Service: Psychic-level awareness Atmosphere: Fun, vibrant, zero rush Overall: You don't just eat here--you commit Final Verdict: Casa Tina didn't just feed me... it humbled me. I came in thinking I was hungry. I left knowing I was unprepared.

I'm genuinely surprised to see such ratings for Indi's Chicken. I went in expecting a simple,…read moreno-frills spot serving good old-fashioned fried chicken and classic sides. That sounded great to me. Unfortunately, the food, portions, and pricing were all disappointing. A three-piece chicken meal with two sides runs around $13-$14, and the pieces are small. Two of my three pieces were very small drumsticks. The meal doesn't include a drink, and if you just want water, you have to buy a bottle. The sides also come in very small portions. I ordered the 3 piece spicy chicken with baked beans and potato wedges. The seasoning on the chicken had a decent flavor, but it wasn't spicy at all. The bigger issue was that the chicken was extremely dry. The larger piece of fried chicken was especially bad, there was barely any meat in it. Most of it was over-fried, hardened breading surrounding a lot of empty space. I kept biting into thick, crunchy breading and air while trying to find actual chicken. The baked beans were fine but nothing notable. I did like the potato wedges, which were probably the best part of the meal. You get three as a side, but they are at least fairly large. There are also several extra costs that add up. Sauces are sold separately, the meal doesn't include a drink, and there's an additional 3% charge if you don't pay with cash. All in all, I really don't understand the high ratings. You can get better fried chicken at plenty of fast-food restaurants, or even from Walmart or Publix, for less money, with larger portions and more options. Even if you're specifically looking for a no-frills local chicken spot, this doesn't feel like a good value. You pay more, get less, and, based on my visit, the quality isn't there. I definitely wouldn't recommend it.
