When I'm looking for a small treat for myself and my friends, Jars has never let me down! At first, I hesitated to visit the location in Clayton because I really didn't want to deal with street parking or the fees that come with it. However, I found that it's conveniently situated in a shopping plaza with Schnucks and Barnes & Noble. The spacious parking lot is free, making it much easier! I tried a little bit of everything to sample their seasonal flavors, and they were all delicious. My favorite is the strawberry shortcake, which is there all the time (not seasonal), so I get it every time. Definitely check it out! read more

Terrific! One word to describe it. I stopped in on impulse. I've known about Jars but dont make it out to Clayton often and happened to pass by and spotted it. The girl who helped me was very informative in explaining the options. I went with cookies and cream. The dessert was delicious with the chocolate pudding mixture luxurious and silky in texture and taste was not overly sweet. Loved the layers of cream and cookie crumbles. Kept making me go back for more because it had such a pleasant mouth feel and over all wonderful little treat to imbibe in. Will definitely be back! read more

I have gone by this place a few times and never went in until today. So glad I did because this place is amazing. When I immediately entered I was greeted by an employee. I asked what did she recommend and she the banana cream pie. Thats what I ordered and I was so glad I did. The price came out to be a little over $7 but the portion is a decent size. So glad I picked this flavor because its so good and reminds me of banana pudding. I really enjoyed Jars! They are indulgent, but good. I don't know how often I would visit just because it is a little pricey and I don't think I will visit often and order more than 1 thing, but I am glad I checked it out. I think the shake was my favorite, the service was great and the place is pristine and clean. I tried a variety of jars and they were good. I've both driven past this place and seen it on social media just about a billion times now, so I finally decided to try Jars for myself. My partner and I were in the mood for a sweet treat, so we stopped by on a Wednesday evening around 8 PM. The inside is small, but there's a couple standing tables in there, as well as some benches right outside. We took our jars to-go. There are plenty of options on the menu, and they all looked heavenly. I ended up getting the triple chocolate Nutella jar. My partner asked the employee for recommendations, and she said the banana pudding and strawberry shortcake are some of the most popular. He went for the banana pudding jar. The girls working were so sweet and friendly. In no time at all, our jars came out looking fabulous. I love the way they package them for to-go orders. If you're worried about taking these to go, don't be! They travel really well and were still perfect by the time we got home. The jars look like relatively small portions at first glance, but when you're actually eating, it turns out to be the most perfect amount. It also has such a rich flavor that I don't think you'd want a bigger portion in one sitting. My triple chocolate was amazing, but I would only recommend this if you're a chocolate lover like me! VERY chocolatey. I stole a bite of my partner's banana pudding, and it was really good too. I honestly couldn't even tell what all was in the jars, but it tasted like a mix of cake, pudding, and some random toppings. I ended up washing out and keeping our cute little plastic jars because they are so sturdy and could totally be repurposed for something. Not sure what I'll use them for yet, but I couldn't bear to throw them away! After seeing their ads for a free jar plastered all over ig for the last month, I knew I had to try them out. This place is tucked away off the corner of 170 and Ladue, across the street from Enterprise. Upon walking in, I noticed how clean and bright everything was, from the signage to the people and of course, the desserts! The employees were incredibly friendly, helpful, and engaging. I had already taken a look at the menu before I came, but was still undecided on what I wanted. I asked the person at the register what was one of their main jars and she recommended the Oreo cookies & crème. I went with that and also got a mango passionfruit refresher. While the jar was included with their grand opening promo, the refresher was not. It was only 5 dollars and some change, so not too bad. I waited all but two mins and both my refresher and jar were ready. The first sip of my refresher wasn't as sweet as I hoped and tasted like more of a faint apple juice with some sweet parts added. It's not bad but also not what I expected. I then moved on to the jar and was surprised at all the flavors, both from the custard and the cake. Each bite kept getting better and better. This is my first time ever trying cake and custard together and will admit, it's quite the combo! This treat is definitely meant to be savored! It's a shame I'm already getting full and will have to save some for later, but on the bright side, you now have a raving fan who can't wait to try more next time! I got tiramisu, red velvet cheese cake, strawberry cannoli, and tres leches cake. They were so delicious and not overly sweet. The pudding was very rich and melted in your mouth. Imo, I liked red velvet cheese cake the most. They also have soft serve, shakes, and refreshers on their menu. Love the hospitality and the warm smiles. One thing I did not enjoy was the actual product itself. presentation 8.2/10 taste 2/10 I was dissatisfied to the point where this post has inspired me to be a food critic. After months of wanting to try jars- we went late Saturday night. They are open until 10pm which is nice. The girl who waited on us was friendly and answered all of our questions. The inside has no tables you can sit but a couple of tall cocktail tables you can stand around. There are benches outside but it was too chilly for that. We ended up ordering 3 things- a strawberry shortcake jar, a red velvet jar and a banana pudding shake. The jars are relatively small- the serving was plenty as it was very rich. I had the red velvet jar and it had frosting around the top with cake crumbles. The jar had cake pieces, a rich custard and pieces of a red velvet cookie. The jar is right about $9. All of the desserts were tasty. The jars are glass. When we were finished we asked about returning or recycling the jar and were told oh just throw it away. Between the price and the gimmick being wasteful I don't imagine we will return. read more

My family & I Visited Jars and everything was Absolutely Amazing . My family and I decided to check out Jars after seeing a news clip. Definitely wasn't disappointed at all. I personally couldn't decided between the soft serve or custard Red Velvet so i got both. Lets just say they both was absolutely amazing . My son initially complained he didnt want one(as all teenagers do) lols. However, I ordered him a Oreo soft serve and before long he DEMOLISHED IT . Coming from not wanting one lols. We found so much humor in it. My Spouse had a Strawberry Cannoli Jar & he cleaned his Jar and kept it as a souvenir lols.(Yes that good) lols. Overall service was amazing, very helpful environment was beautiful parking wasnt bad and the overall experience was nothing short of amazing. The interior has Crumbl- like vibes, where it is very clean looking and you are welcome to order on tablets if you so desire. The deserts all look very tempting, with a great presentation. Me and my boyfriend decided to try Jars today because i thought that we had a coupon for a free one because it's opening weekend and we signed up. I looked all over my phone and i hadn't received a coupon. Coupons should be accessible if they are being advertised to get people in your business. Then we ordered and it costs 17.99 for two jars. About a handful of product by the way. I got the Oreo one and my boyfriend got the one with the berries on top. It took about 10 minutes to get the jars. I understand that they have a big order before us, ok. But one of the employees, who i assume maybe is an owner, was talking to customers instead of helping out the other employees. I don't feel like the long wait was justified. 18$ for 2 small products, the product should be in my hand in 5 minutes. Anyway, we received the product and went into our car to eat. I liked the oreo part of mine with the little bread stuff. the chocolate pudding was not so good. My boyfriend didn't like his. i would give mine about a 6/10 and he would give his 3.5/10. I feel bad reviewing a new business like this because im feeling like im being harsh, but i just would like other people to know what they get before they commit to spending their hard earned money there.
