I have ordered from here many times. The food is average for a Chinese restaurant. Most Chinese restaurants are good but not fantastic. And that's ok. Tonight I ordered food on DoorDash. I waited 35 minutes, which was when the driver was supposed to be here. Food was made, driver was picking up, then I got a cancellation. I checked their website. DoorDash is available until 9 pm tonight. I called the restaurant and talked to the manager and explained the situation. He never apologized and told me to order again. Theirs to many mediocre Chinese restaurants for me to ever use them again. No apology, no discount, just order again. Ridiculous. read more

Always satisfying. I've only ordered lunch specials from Ming Garden. I generally order in store at the counter and wait less than ten minutes to take my food to go. You don't want to dine in here. The dining room needs a thorough scrubbing and it's the kind of place where the dining room doubles as storage for restaurant supplies plus also a bit of a garage sale with random retail clearance items for sale. If you can ignore all that, the food is good for a quick lunch. I tried the moo goo gai pan today with steamed rice and crab Rangoon. Moo Goo Gai Pan is always chicken and mushrooms plus other crunchy vegetables, usually bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, and snow peas. Their version is in a white sauce and contains your choice of protein plus sliced button mushrooms, carrots, and zucchini. I would have preferred the addition of something extra crunchy like water chestnuts, but this still satisfied my craving for chicken and veggies in a white sauce. I was surprised by how tasty the crab Rangoon is. It looked like regular crab Rangoon, but the wrapper was thinner than the regular egg roll wrappers. Not as thin as you get from some Thai restaurants, but in between. A little greasy with a sweet cream cheese filling, but very good. Less than ten bucks for lunch and I even had leftovers. I also got the crab rangoons and egg drop soup. The orange chicken was bomb! It had real slices of orange peel, which I love. The crab rangoon was super fresh and crispy (honestly, I was shocked at the quality), and they were slightly sweet. The soup was nice and hot. Ming Garden just happened to be near where we were leaving when we were craving food! I wasn't too impressed with the food. We ordered the beef in garlic sauce and Szechuan chicken. Both dinner meals that came with rice and a side. The sauces were similar but slightly different. The chicken tasted rubbery almost. The fried rice was fine. The crab rangoons were least impressive - just not very good and the wonton part was soaked in oil. The hot and sour had their own interesting flavor. Overall it wasn't great. Ming Garden is great if you're looking for convenience and cheap Chinese food. It's easy to order carry out through menufy on their website. They have like 30 platter options. I've only tried their fried rices dishes, lo mein, and flavored chicken dishes. The seating options aren't very comfortable. It's more of a grab it and go place. read more

This place is the closest chinese takeout to where we live now so we thought we'd give it a try. Has seating inside, your typical takeout looking place. I gave it three stars because 1- the crab Rangoons are actually quite tasty, crunchy on the outside and slightly sweet filling on the inside, but should be called 'cream cheese Rangoon'. 2- the lunch special is reasonably priced, you get fried or white rice and either soup egg rolls or crab Rangoon's- about 2 meals worth. 3-it wasn't terrible, had flavor and food was ready fast. The meat is definitely not high quality, more breading than chicken, and my husband and I couldn't tell the difference between our dishes except for the sesame seeds on mine indicating sesame chicken :). Maybe we will try again and just get something else on the menu, prices aren't expensive so I'd give it another shot. read more

Yes, this one of those tiny places with an order counter and a few tables, but it was clean, the food was really good, and the prices were great too. We were there for lunch on Saturday. Got a couple of lunch specials: Speinfield style chicken and Black pepper chicken with an extra side of Crab Rangoon. The portions were very big for lunch. We took enough home for 2 more meals. The fried rice was good and had giant chunks of pork. The crab rangoon was freshly made. The wrappers were fluffy and crispy without being tough. It was all very tasty. There's not much else to eat in this little shopping center. I'll have no problem going back again sometime soon. read more

Poor customer service. I ordered General Tso combo and Orange Chicken combo as a carry out. My husband had already put soy sauce on his and started eating at home when he realized it tasted like orange chicken. We called and the person who answered insisted that they gave us General Tso. When my husband said it had orange peel in it, the man on the phone said we would have to come back and show him. Either way one of two things happened: They messed up and gave us two Orange Chicken OR they have gross General Tso Chicken. In any event, customer service was horrible and food was average. We placed a large work group order last night since our regular restaurant was not delivering. I can't speak for others in the group but based on this one order I received I would not again order from Ming Garden. I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken and it was highly disappointing. Firstly, I had several pieces of chicken that were mostly gristle, and the sauce was not very flavorful. The spiciness was about a 1 on a scale of 1-5. Weak. There were however lots of tasty vegetables in it, except for celery. There was none at all. I've also never before been served broccoli in Kung Pao Chicken, so that was a first. In summation, it wasn't tasty enough to bother finish eating. On a positive note, the crab rangoon were tasty. read more

I really love Chinese food! however for me it's kinda hard to find that perfect Chinese spot because most places don't have that good of fried rice or lo-mein or whatever. So I thought I'd give Ming garden a try and OMG their orange chicken is amazing it has actual orange slices in it, you don't really see that at most places their fried rice is moist has flavor and is really good and really everything about that place to me is my favorite Chinese spot. Has Gone down hill over the years and even more so recently. The egg rolls taste like frozen egg rolls they microwaved. Inside looks like a discount Amazon overstock store. Ordered at the door (Covid and all) waited almost 40 minutes for our food, after delivery driver after delivery driver got theirs and left. Was told multiple times ours was next. Get it home, not what I ordered at all! Called to let them know they obviously gave me the wrong order, they just argued with me that it was what it wasn't. Maybe we didn't come there before, etc, etc. Guess where we will never go again! Food tastes lackluster, "Chicken" is questionable if that is what it is and it's a tiny bit of some meat covered in a thick batter, so really no meat at all. I was pretty stoked when this place opened because I used to live right up the hill in the ghetto behind Target. I need a chinese food fix pretty frequently so I visited this place a few times a month for long time. Long time after I decide it no good, I still go here! Everyone always complains about how all chinese food places taste the same and all the food at one place tastes the same, and what's the deal with the poopoo platter? Well, this place for damn sure is one of those damn places. It's all the same. The fried chicken chunks they use for the sesame chicken are the same as the fried chicken chunks used for the sweet and sour chicken which are the same as the fried chicken chunks used for the orange chicken. How about the General Tso's Chicken fried chicken chunks? Same. Most of the brown sauces are pretty oily, the fried rice is extremely oily, and none of the dishes seem to reheat very well. The biggest bummer is their crab rangoon. It's terrible. And it's not even crab rangoon, it's cheese wontons or whatever. Sugared cream cheese in a way too thick wonton. But I still kept eating them. The place is clean and the guys that worked there are obviously family and very friendly to customers as they wait. One of them perhaps a bit too friendly? Not creepy-friendly, just really really damn glad to see you. Know what I mean? They have pretty good deals and as previously mentioned, sweet take home containers, TO BE RE-PURPOSED for any number of home improvement or arts and crafts projects. I'd give it 3.5 if I could. This is our 'go to' place for chinese food in the Northland. The people there are really nice and you get your food fast. Pretty much tastes the same to me as other chinese places though. The restaurant is clean though.... saw roaches in the Red Dragon restaurant that is downtown! Although I have seen lower ratings for this place, I think that this is one of the better places you can get Chinese food. Genral Tso's Chicken is really good, and the crab rangoon is wonderful. I love that fact that this place is clean. The food is a great price for the amount you get, especially if you get the lunch time combos! For fried rice, and main meat/seafood, crab rangoon or eggroll is any where from 6-8 dollars. The chicken product have never been overcooked, and I like that everything is made to order. I can see into the kitchen and see how they are making my food. I've seen them take orders on the phone, and have start making it five minutes before the person comes in , and it's fresh and hot right when the person comes to get it. I love that I can take it home and it's still steaming hot...sometimes to the point of still being too hot to eat.
