We were really tired of the decline of all of the hibachi places in the valley so we decided to drive a little further for my birthday dinner. We are so glad we did! The food was amazing! Sushi was fresh and nicely presented. Hibachi food was perfect - nice size portions and everything was cooked perfect! The scallops and steak actually melted in your mouth. And the chef actually had fun with us and it didn't look like he was just going through the motions like all the other hibachi chefs in the valley. It's an Okay restaurant if you just want a casual lunch or dinner. I tried their green, yellow and red curry and some Thai dishes since they're marketed as Thai resturant. The curry tasted no different than the boxed curry mixed with only a little bit of coconut milk (personally, I like more coconut milk, which makes curry tastes creamier). The rice is not authentic Thai Jasmine rice. Fresh herbs is the key for yummy Thai dishes. Obviously they didn't use enough fresh herbs to really make the taste popped. Dined here tonight. Very popular on a Saturday night. Nice decor. One room is reserved for hibachi dining and one for regular dining. I had shrimp and veggie tempura and my family had two different bento boxes. They all arrived pretty quickly and were delicious! A fair price, too. Definitely worth trying! We came to Jasmine to try the sushi. I had been hearing about how good it was from a few friends for a while now, and it did not disappoint. We had the Godzilla roll and it was delicious. We decided to try the Hibatchi. We opted not to sit in the room with the cook but just sat at a regular table and they brought us out a plate already prepared. It was very tasty. Best Hibatchi I have had in the area. The overall atmosphere was very laid back, casual and comfortable. Staff was friendly and attentive. The food came out quickly. Overall an extremely pleasant experience. This place is definitely on our short list of favorites in the area now. I highly recommend trying it out, especially if you like sushi. read more

Took my family of five to Jasmin's for Hibachi....it was a great experience. My four year old wasn't into it at first because he couldn't get a cheeseburger. But once the chef came out and started cooking he fell in love with the experience. Food was top notch, service was excellent and atmosphere was spot on as far as I'm concerned. My husband and I went there last night for "date night" and we each ordered the drunken noodles (which we LOVE from other Thai restaurants). The "chicken" was stringy and slimy. We complained to the young male manager and he pretty much said too bad. No offer to get us something else or reduce the bill. We literally ate two bites each. Because we were fearful that we would get food poisoning, we did not continue. I wonder if the Board of Health could do an analysis to find out if that meat was indeed chicken. This was me and my girls favorite place. We've been there 20 times We continued going even after we moved 30 minutes away. I literally just left there I got a surf and turf roll which is supposed to have seared steak on top. The steak was raw completely red with white fat on it. When I brought it to there attention the manager , some skinny cocky dick. He actually argued with me, and told me that the steak was medium rare. I've cooked in restaurants my whole life and this steak was raw. I enjoy medium rare steak. But he actually argued with me. Even brought out a raw steak from the back to compare. Which I took a picture of. They were both raw. Then he tried to tell me I had to pay for the steak he brought out because it was on the table. Needless to say I didn't pay for any of the raw meat I was served. He actually said, it's only 20 bucks. Maybe to a rich kid who's parents gave him a restaurant 20 bucks isn't a lot of money but to me it is. I've spent over 500 dollars here and he is telling me just pay for it. I loved this place and talked about it constantly but fuck these people Low class 0 customer service. Excellent service. We had Nate who was speedy, friendly, and knowledgeable. The hibachi and Sushi rolls were incredible, great quality and good sized portions. I unfortunately chose to order Pad Thai unlike the rest of my group and actually found it to be one of THE WORST Pad Thai dishes I've ever had. If you are looking for a clean enjoyable atmosphere for a group to get hibachi I recommend this place for sure. But stay away from the Thai side! read more

Okay, a major update with an added star. Why? I never gave them a second chance and I regretted that. After trying a variety of other items including an inari/cream cheese roll, stir fry veggie udon, and a few more veggie sushi rolls, I can confidently say that Jasmine does do a great job on sushi. I love this place, I have always loved this place. The sushi is the best around, and I have had sushi from basically every place in the area. The people at the sushi bar are friendly, and always welcoming. Do I recommend the food? Some of it, I go mostly for their sushi though. I have never had a bad piece of sushi from there, I like their thai stuff, and I think most of there food is very good. The prices are reasonable especially for the quality and the lunch is a great deal. The service is always fast, and friendly. This has to be one of the worst restaurants I've been in my life. I came here with family yesterday for dinner. My boyfriend and I had the sushi dinner for 2 which included the miso soup and house salad. When the appetizers came out, the soup was such a flavorless broth and its extremely hard to mess up a simple miso soup and somehow they did. I usually love house salads from asian restaurants because of the dressing they put on. The house salad from this place was extremely disgusting. The dressing was all mayo and zero flavor. When our food came out, the fish on the sushi looked grey and cloudy. I'm originally from California so I know what high quality good sushi is Which already tells me that it's not fresh. I told the waitress that we didn't want the sushi if they could just switch it out to rolls instead. The rolls weren't made well because they kept falling apart. I didn't care if we had to pay extra for it or whatever. I guess she wasn't understanding what we were trying to do so she goes to the back and grabs the manager. I've explained the situation and she just tells me that they can't do anything about it and says they can't take it back. I just accepted and was already over it. The manager than comes back to our table with the menu and starts yelling at me just to re-clarify with what was on the menu. My boyfriend then tells her that it's fine since they can't do anything about it and to leave it at that. As she was walking away from our table, she makes a face at my boyfriend. The manager/staff of this place are extremely rude to their customers and don't care. In conclusion, there are better restaurants out there for sushi. I will never recommend this place to anyone just due to the fact that the manager was the rudest woman I've ever met in my life. Poor food quality. It took forever to get a table after being told only 30 mins. It took an hour 15 mins. They charge for each refill even when they keep filling it up for you. Family of two adults with three kids ( they shared one meal) cost over $100 even with discount. If kids share a meal you get hit with extra charges. We won't be back. May be good for the normal locals, but we have eaten at over 20 different hibachis and this is by far the worst. Their Sushi is not fresh, it did't smell right so we had to toss it out. Thai basil was ok but they forget to include the rice and we called back they didn't care. The person who answered the phone said I am just a worker please contact the manger and he is not in. After 3 attempt we finally got to the manager who refused to even apologize instead he made an excuse blaming us for asking to upgrade to brown rice and refused to issue a refund. Decided to try Jasmine after a long day so I picked up mango chicken and noodles with vegetables, chicken, shrimp. Sounded good to me..... The place was very busy and the hostess did tell me the wait would be twenty minutes and I waited five more but that was fine- very gracious and thanked me for waiting. The hibachi chef was very entertaining during my wait. So much fat and salt in both I threw out most of it! Only ate part of it because it was late and I was starved. Did not realize the mango chicken was heavily battered and deep fried- not in the description. The mango chicken did have large pieces of fresh mango and there was a lot of chicken but most of the pieces I did eat were grizzly- didn't know there were hard chewy parts in chicken. As for the noodles - the vegetables were scallion and a piece or two of mushroom. Decent size shrimp- there were 2 or 3, and enough chicken to accent the noodles - fair enough but the noodles were chewy AND mushy at the same time. Unlike any meal I've had in this category before. Salt and fat content were easily a weeks worth of both in one meal. No surprise I won't be going back. read more

They have many other choices besides sushi, such as hibachi, noodles, teriyaki meats, curry, etc. besides the top notch food, the service is incredible. I accidentally told them the wrong order and was disappointed when what was brought to me was not what I had in mind. However they quickly got me something else that I had wanted free of charge. In our experience, the waitstaff could not have been nicer, and we've either eaten there or gotten take out at least 6 times. They are attentive, friendly and super sweet. Even when I was picking up takeout last night, they were so nice and engaging. Really, in our times at Jasmine, everyone there could not have been better. We've only gotten sushi there so I can't comment on the other items on the menu. What I can say is the sushi is very delicious, crafted with obvious knowledge, skill and care, and is always very fresh. The presentation is nicely done, even in a takeout container - quite a feat. Prices are very affordable, especially with the amount of food you get (Sushi for 2 comes with tons of sushi, two full maki rolls, soup and salad with a good variation on ginger dressing). I think we've gotten the sushi for 2 option each time and it is such a great offering, I'm sure we'll get it many more times. Another major plus of this restaurant is it is BYOB, and while we haven't done so yet, it's so nice to have that option. Rather than paying for overpriced drinks at the other sushi place in town, you can have an even better experience for less. Win-win in my book. Jasmine is a pleasant surprise. The mango chicken is delicious. Had ordered the drunken noodles but had to trade with my gluten free wife who'd not expected the chicken to be breaded. Both meals are delicious. Good prices and a real surprise for a small restaurant tucked away in Palmer township. Crowded on a Friday night but we got seated quickly. Waitstaff is courteous and attentive. Been going to Jasmine Sushi & Thai Restaurant since the day it opened and it's still our "go to" place for sushi in the Lehigh Valley area. Have been to the other local "best sushi places" that have been rated by others and they do not even compare to Jasmine. The fish is always fresh and is strictly monitored by Yong Lin, the sushi chef owner. His standards put NY sushi places to shame. I love the Drunken Noodles and the many varieties of sushi and sushi rolls. Of course, the "Gina Roll - Crazy Gina-style" is the best in my honest opinion, because it's my invention!
