We came to E-Jae Pak Mor for lunch on Monday at 11:40am. We had heard good things about this place and finally had some time when we were in the I.D. to try it. We scanned the electronic menu at the front, ordered, then got water at the self-serve station. We beat the lunch crowd so we had plenty of tables to choose from. The bright and cheery decor had nice ambiance and the staff were friendly and welcoming. My hubs ordered the Khao Soi Chiang Mai, one of his favorite dishes to order at a Thai restaurant. It was huge and came in a big, wide bowl. He enjoyed the flavor of the yellow curry and building heat of this dish. Make sure to get a steak knife at the front counter so you can cut the meat from the chicken drumstick (if you're not biting into it). Also, if you are a spice lightweight like me, this is not your dish. But if you enjoy spice and curries, you will enjoy this dish. I got the E-Jae House Noodle with chicken and no egg. Wow, their handmade rice noodles were amazing! So soft, tender, and kinda ropey. I loved the texture and taste of this dish. The sauce was light and complimented the noodles, chicken, green onions, and cilantro. It's so great to eat a restaurant dish that isn't too salty or saucy! It comes with a side of chili sauce which I didn't use, but if you like spice, I am sure it was good. We ended our meal by sharing a small order of the Mango Sticky Rice. It was delightful. The mango was perfectly ripe, the sticky rice was delicious, and it was topped with little crispies which we found out later was fried mung beans. A great ending to a great meal. Came here for a quick dinner and left completely stuffed. Just a heads-up on how the setup works since it's super casual: there isn't traditional table service. You order at the counter when you walk in, grab a seat, and they'll bring the food out to you. Everything else is totally self-serve--you grab your own water, utensils, and condiments. When you're finished, you bus your own table and drop your dishes at the return station. I ordered the pumpkin panang curry with fried chicken, and the portion size was massive! The curry was super rich, heavy, and packed a ton of flavor. The fried chicken held up really well with the sauce, too. The taste was definitely there, and you get a lot of food for what you pay. We got here just before lunch time around 11:40am and the line was short and there were plenty of empty tables. By 12:20pm it was packed. We got the chicken E-Jae House Noodles, with their homemade wide rice noodles and the Khao Soi Chiang Mai with chicken. Their homemade wide rice noodles were incredible. Soft and delicate and not overly sauced. I'm going to judge all future rice noodles against these. Will definitely be back for more of these fresh noodles! First off their take on Khao Soi is huge. It was enough noodles and sauce for two meals for me. It came with one chicken leg (enough for one meal). Make sure to grab a knife from the front counter to get the chicken off the bone. Really good Thai street food near the lightrail station in CID. Good amount of seating inside but not ideal for large groups. You order at the front and they bring out your food. I love a good rice noodle and they do it so well. It very thin and soaks up the sauce very well. I got the guay tiew lohd tom yum and it was so flavorful. Protein is marinated pork and fried shrimp as topping. You can taste the fish sauce, and tanginess from tom yum. Good textures with pork, pork roll, bean sprouts, and peanuts. Overall good food. The savory fillings also blended super well with the wrapping and were absolutely delicious. Khao Soi was good too but I wasn't impressed- the noodles were not cooked too well and kinda stuck together, but it wasn't major. However seating was a bit confusing as you had to find an empty table and the server would bring you the food. When it was busy the line and wait got messy and it's possible to get your food without having a table so I don't recommend coming here when it's super busy There were around 8 tables and some bar seatings. Place your order at the counter, then wait for them to bring out the food. We got the pak mor and noodle soup with ground pork (I can't remember the name). The pak mor dumplings were delicious and unique. The skins were silky and paired well with the ground pork texture. Dipping sauces were tasty too. Get the large order, you won't regret it. The soup was too sweet; would've been great to have some more acidity, so we would skip this next time. Lastly, it took about 45 minutes to get our food on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn't a game day either. I'm going to assume that this is an anomaly. If it wasn't for the slow speed, I'd recommend this as a great spot to visit before a game. In both dishes that had chicken in them, the chicken had that weird chicken taste that you get the ick from. The papaya salad was REALLy good i recommend this one. Came here before a soccer game at Limen Field Stadium and got decently surprised! We had their signature Khao Mun Gai (Thai Hainanese-style poached chicken rice) and Khao Be Teng (sweet braised pork rice), and both were excellent. Coming from Asia, we can confidently say the flavors felt truly authentic and comforting. We also really appreciated the cute decor, spacious seating, and friendly staff, which made the whole experience even better. Located 2 blocks from Lumen Field and across the street from Union Station, this is a great spot if you're craving Thai in the International District/Chinatown area! If it looks full inside, it probably is because seating is limited and it's more of a take-out style place. They have about 5-6 seats facing the windows, bar style and about 6-7 half booth table setups. The booth style seating is on the cramped side, but the table itself is more than enough room for a few dishes. I suggest going around 3-5pm on the weekdays, there's a good chance of finding parking as well as a table. The service was great! The cashier was very kind and allowed for more than enough time to check out the menu and ask questions. They bring the food out to you a few minutes after you've placed the order. They were great about asking checking up on us despite it being more take-out style. Similar business, just tell you to have a great day and then never come back around to check up on you, but they actually came back around at least 2-3 times in the 30-45min visit that my friend and I had. My fiend ordered the Khao Soi Chiang Mai which was rich is flavor in every last bite. I believe he went with 2spice level which honestly didnt seem spicy at all, but delicious nonetheless. The creaminess of the dish feels like it would be extremely filling. I would rate this 8/10, I would recommend. I ordered the Su Kho Thai Noodle Soup. Again, flavor in every bite. The first thing you'll notice about this dish is the light sweetness to it, but then it evolves to a savory light soup. I would say this is on the light side, but would fill up the average. The noodles are chewy and more ribbon/layered vs single layered rice noodles. It absorbs lots of the broth and sauce from the stir frying. It has good 'wok' heat. I've done takeout and also dine-in at E-Jae Pak Mor a few times, and this is probably one of my favorite Thai places in Seattle. I've had the chicken and rice dish (Khao Mun Gai), which is my favorite dish, as well as some of the curry. The food is very flavorful and I think the portions are very well reflective of the price. The food here is great, but I really want to call attention to the staff and level of service here. The people here are so, so friendly and kind. I always feel so welcome whenever I come here and it feels like the staff and owner are genuinely happy to see you when you come in. When I ordered the Khao Mun Gai to go, it was taking a little bit longer than normal and the staff gave me a small dessert as an apology. It was a very thoughtful gesture that I appreciated. It is always busy in here, not in the sense that it will take a long time for your food to come out, but just that you might have a hard time getting a place to sit because there are always so many people here. The restaurant is right by the light rail, so if you're downtown it's very easy to get to (though parking is a bit of a pain). I'll be back here again for some delicious Thai food! read more

This is a nice, casual spot for colorful Thai street food, across from the Uwajimaya food hall and just off the light rail station. There were many people comfortably eating alone as well as in pairs. - Pak mor yuan (pork) - cold seasoned ground meat wrapped in wide rice noodles paired with a tangy dipping sauce! These perfectly sized bites were fresh and had a great flavor and mouthfeel. The skin stuck to the wooden chopsticks. - Khao soi chiang mai - the curry flavor wasn't too strong and there was a good amount of chicken. The noodles in the curry were al dente but our favorite were the crunchy fried noodles on top. The mildly spicy broth was perfect to satisfy winter day cravings. The waitress told us her favorite parts of each dish and explained how to eat Pak mor. The only hiccup was when she brought us the check in the middle of the conversation and of the meal, after we thought we'd already paid when ordering at counter. E Jae Pak Mor is a small but mighty counter service Thai spot in the ID that is definitely worth visiting! They seem like a very popular lunch spot, especially on the weekend, which is when I visited. You go in and wait to order at the counter, and then seating at that point is first come first served. My lunch buddy and I started at the counter seating that looks out the window to Uwajimaya, but they actually have staff monitoring the seating situation, and one of them pointed us to a two top once one opened up. So it's a bit chaotic, not as chaotic as it could be, but just be mindful that this is probably not the place for a bit group unless you are going at a really odd hour. There are not that many tables and only a portion of those seat more than two. The menu has a bunch of noodle soups, dry noodles, and other delicious looking dishes. We had the pork pak mor to share, and then I had the su kho thai (similar to tom yum noodle soup) and my lunch buddy had the khao soi chiang mai with beef. The pak mor are delicious, I love the textural variation between the sticky wrapping and the crunchy fried shallots on top. The dumpling itself is not *that* flavorful, but when you top it with the dipping sauce it turns into a really well-balanced mouthful. The su kho thai is really good, tangy and comforting with lots of noodles and topping. Super satisfying! I did not try the khao soi myself, but it was apparently really good and the beef looked like it was falling apart with just a touch. I am definitely going to come back to try more, and will even bring vegetarians here as many of the dishes have a vegetarian version! read more
