I wasn't going to leave a review on this place because I've been to other Jason's deli's in different states, which they are all consistent in taste, but I have to brag on an employee there who made my experience so great and different from others. JONATHAN- I hope you get a raise or appreciation from your managers because I want to come back because of you. Just a little backstory, my sister and I came in and so had absolutely no idea whatsoever of what I wanted. Jonathan asked me questions of what I've had before, if there's a meat I do or don't like and then gave me options based on my responses. I've been to Jason's many times in person and ordering to-go, it's usually relatively fast and quality food. Today was a to-go and I got the Carmela sandwich with a fruit cup and dip for the side. The sandwich was great as usual. Their sourdough bread is good. The fruit cup was just okay. (pineapple chunks were all hard and the two strawberries at the bottom were both completely mush.) Overall, still a good experience as I know strawberries don't always last the longest. Pleased for about $10 and a quick pick-up. I really love their salads and jalapeño ranch dressing, I'm sure I'll be back soon. read more

It seems to have changed a bit since my last visit but still worth a visit of your wanting a very large salad bar with something for everybody! Poor service. My order took 30 minutes and the place wasn't busy. People who ordered after me received their food first. As an apology to other people, meals were getting refunded but not mine. When I finally got my food for my family, we were missing a meal. After verifying the order three times with the employee, she didn't enter in a sandwich. We like Jason's Deli but hadn't returned since the last time the ice cream machine was broken and with several small grandchildren it was very disappointing. So today after church my wife and treated our son and daughter and their families to lunch. We were so looking forward to it, but the lack of service spoiled the mood. We arrived at 12:30 and we did not receive our food for 45 minutes. When you have 7 small grandchildren...patience is in short supply. And to make matters worse, I had to go get our food as it was being staged. I was not alone...others were waiting too. I did give the lady bussing tables a $20 dollar bill for working so hard to keep the tables and floor clean. Stopped for lunch in the middle of running errands. The chicken panini sounded delicious, but I swapped the pesto aioli out with chipotle aioli, and it added the perfect amount of heat. My experience is terrible with customer service. At this point I don't care how the food taste. Customer service is really important. I have experience in customer service for many years and this really pissed me off. Person taking our order was glaring at us with impatience and had an attitude that we interrupted her cell phone usage. This was our first time ordering from here. The staff here were barely competent at best and the excuse was they were "new." Our order finally came to our table after several attempts with food that was not ours. My husband got his order in about 7 minutes, mine was another 5-8 minutes. The sandwich I had was decent but the service and the ambiance was sub par. Food all over the floors and the bathroom door was sticky (as in yucky) and didn't close/lock. The handicapped stall was unoccupied but the toilet was running when I came in and continued to run. As I sit here still waiting for the "to go" item after 30 minutes, frustrated with the inconvenience and time lost, I will not likely be patronizing this establishment again. I spent five weeks in Augusta earlier this year, and am back for two. I ordered from Jason's Deli at least once a week, usually through DoorDash (delivery or pickup). Consistently delicious food, although sometimes the wait is longer than anticipated for pickup. But I'm not mad about that! The beefeater is my favorite sandwich. It's so big It's too big to fit my mouth around. It comes with au jous for dipping and it has some cheese and a little mayonnaise, which is absolute perfection. The big chef salad is another of my favorites. I usually would order three-one for lunch every Tuesday-Thurs. This time I got the chicken pot pie soup, but haven't tried it yet, the sandwich was too big to eat both today! Highly recommend. read more

There's no point in ordering online, if you have to wait 20 minutes in the restaurant for your food to be prepared. This happens almost every time and it is frustrating. Today was a customary afternoon when my daughter and I grab a bite before going home. Came to the only restaurant in the area and was in shock. Upon walking in, there were several staff just sitting around doing nothing. Order was taking and we sat down waiting for our order. And that is where I started making observations, the restaurant had several tables with dirty dishes. There was a young lady on the line and out of what I counted as 6 staff members doing anything, she was the only one working. She prepared our food and even served it. I don't hit the "chain circuit" frequently, but when I do I make sure it's a good call. It was a cold winter afternoon. The sky was grey, the wind cutting to the bone. With my belly growling and my car in motion I knew there would be only one beam of light in this dismal day, hot soup and a sandwich. Though it had been many a month since my last visit, I knew just the place. I pulled in with grilled cheese on the brain, but I soon found myself swayed to articulate marketing. A sign just inside the door revealed to me what I truly desired was a pot roast sandwich. How could it be? Was my memaw working in the kitchen? But alas, they had found a way to bring home cooking to my plate. Though the meal comes with chips, I had to listen to my heart (aka, my stomach). I ordered a side of tomato basil soup. During my short wait I took advantage of the free bread bar, but I ate cautiously so that my appetite could withstand the tasteful typhoon approaching. I am not sure if I took a breath during this meal (if I didn't maybe I should consider my hand at escape magic), but soon a clean plate and bowl sat before me. The pot roast was properly cooked, balanced in flavor, and juicy on the bun. The soup made me think of what childhood sick days would look like if "adulting" was applied; comforting, tasty, on the sofa watching television, but might also pair well with a red wine. The free ice cream was tempting, but I decided to leave before taking my "full status" to another level. Always a friendly team, plenty of parking, and tidy appearance. Ordered my sandwich and my pickup time was 2:09. When I arrived there was a large group standing in the way of all the curbside parking. I drove around to the driveway and there were cars already there. I winded up sitting there for 10 minutes and finally backed up. I went back to the curbside called and explained what happened. They took an additional 10 minutes to bring out my food. Needless to say it took 45 minutes to get home and eat it. I only live 10 minutes away. It was cold. I'll stick to moshpit eats. I placed an online order for my friends family who lives all the way in Augusta, Georgia. Isn't technology a beautiful thing. They said they have heard of Jason's Deli but, never been in there. I was like Pleaseeee try something new, she agreed. The order consisted of a few Manager's Specials, Turkey Cubs, Smoked Salmon Sandwich, and Grilled Chicken sandwich accompanied by soups, fresh fruits and salads. I mainly wanted them to try the chicken noodle soup. She said the soup was warm when delivered. It was flavorful. She expressed she tasted herbs. My friend said her family enjoyed the food her kids were happy. That's a plus! She said she would definitely visit them now especially its so close to her home. I can understand getting an order wrong once or twice...but six different times. That's just poor management, poor training, and a total lack of caring. And it's an all day thing...breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I hope whomever owns the establishment reads this. On top of the former, whoever is in charge of food quality check needs to be let go. A few examples...brown and black avocado, soggy bread, stale bread, stale cheese, veggies that are past the freshness date, food just thrown into containers, what should be hot food is cold food, etc, etc, etc. I gave them the benefit of the doubt on several occasions because it's hard to find a place with variety. But it's just not worth it anymore. Our typical orders are always over $60 before tip. And with missing items and food that isn't fresh...why waste the money on a place that doesn't care about what they serve and/or how they serve it. A generic response to this review won't suffice. You can save yourself the cut and past. Obviously nothing is getting done here...read the reviews. The owner needs to come in and clean house. I know it sounds harsh and I'm okay with that. The food was pretty good. I came with a friend after having a positive experience here a few months ago. However, the bread was hard as I don't even know what. Other than that, the meal was fine. Service: the waiter nearly threw the tray with our food on it at the table. We showed up a little after they opened.
