Jason's Deli is one of my favorite delis. I love coming here when my family and I are out and we want a simple lunch. I love that they have a lot to choose from and they have a lot of kids options. It's something here for everyone. I love their salad bar and get it every time I come. I also love their loaded baked potato. The staff at this location is friendly and helpful. I came here with my family for lunch. I ordered the Salad Bar with a Kids Baked Potato (added sour cream and green onion). My husband got the Club Royale and our daughter got a Kids Grilled Cheese. I love the combination of salad and a baked potato and get it every time. Their baked potatoes are also really good. You can get them with different toppings but I always get the Plain Jane (butter, cheese, sour cream, bacon, and green onion). A tip is, if you order the Kids Baked Potato and add sour cream and green onion, it's their Plain Jane Potato for cheaper. Their salad bar is also very good and fresh. I love being able to build my own salad. My husband thought his sandwich was ok. It's not what he usually orders. However, I had to order for him because he was charging our youngest daughter and I couldn't remember what he normally orders so I ordered him the Club Royale. He thought it was pretty basic and without the honey mustard it wouldn't have tasted decent. Our daughter really enjoyed her grilled cheese. She ate all but one square. We also enjoy Jason's Deli soft serve ice cream. You can get vanilla, chocolate or swirl (chocolate and vanilla together). This is always a nice end to lunch. Absolutely love this place! I'm a sucker for a salad bar! This is not your standard salad bar. It didn't have tuna or chicken salad but there was a little pasta salad, potato salad and cole slaw. There's even hummus, no pita though. Head to use other veggies. There are lettuce options! There's a new gorgonzola salad dressing which it's great! They have pick up, take out and delivery options. The menu is diversified. You can get half and half, get a sandwich, add a salad or a salad bar or a soup, cup or bowl. Whatever way you wanna do it. It's easy. We had a hard time deciding and sat down first before ordering. The gentleman physically came out to our table to give us the breakdown. That was great customer service! My daughter ordered the pasta dinner which was excellent. I had lobster soup along with the fantastic all you can eat salad bar. My husband had the chicken chili soup which included 3 tortilla chips placed in the soup which caused them to be soggy right off the bat. The crunch was lost. My lobster soup had a lot of potatoes in it and was kind of cold. And... they've got free ice cream. The location is fantastic! There's pretty ample parking if it isn't a busy weekend. Also they're located right next door to a salon for a girls trip. Two doors away is orange theory. It's great for a healthy lunch afterward. read more

"McCallister's meets Golden Corral" LEGIT obsessed with this deli that is Home to a massive menu in Rookwood. My best friend and I wanted a nice lunch but nothing to heavy or crazy. She suggested McCallisters and since there isn't one in Rookwood we went to Jason's Deli thanks to the wonderful Yelp app! Thankfully this is zero pressure as the entrance is FAR away from the ordering station and had printed menus you can browse before walking up to place your order. Honestly i can't even begin to tell you all the options they have here but i can say they have an salad bar that is more than just salad. It's had seriously EVERYTHING imaginable including free soft serve ice cream! YES I SAID FREE. It was a colder winter day so we both wanted a small cup of soup so I went with their season beef stew and my friend went with their potato soup. Then we saw that have a "choose two" option so we made that 1 and went on a search for the perfect sammie. I'm a club gal so i went for their deli club with Ham, roasted turkey breast, bacon, cheddar, Swiss, leafy lettuce, tomato, mayo, on toasted multigrain wheat. YUM! The choose two also came with chips too (which i didn't eat) but was a surprise when it came to the table. The ordering is identical to mccallister's where they give you a number for the table and someone brings it out to you. FYI: all health nuts and macro counters like me! Sometimes you don't realize the value of a restaurant until suddenly it dawns on you: "I'm here every week or two ... why?" Why? Well, the food must be all right, and it must be reasonably priced! That's Jason's Deli. Sure, it's a chain, and my instinct is to disdain them. Jason's seemed pretty boring the first few times I went. But I began to realize that Jason has got most everything figured out, and when I say "everything," I mean that it's got a huge variety of choices on offer: One of the best salad bars in town (seriously), kitchen-prepared salads (that Nutty Mixed-Up Salad sure has a dumb name, but it's quite good (chicken is pretty tasty for a chain)), a wide selection of sandwiches (panini(s), clubs, wraps, even a very solid muffaletta), better-than-average-for-a-chain soups (even an passable gumbo). Even pastas and potatoes, neither of which I've tried. That muffaletta really does deserve a special mention: We lived in New Orleans for a decade-plus, and most muffalettas you find outside that city are badly mucked-up in one way or another (crappy bread, misbegotten olive salad, seriously cheapo cold cuts, etc.). This one, served hot (the classic places in NOLA usually serve 'em cold), is actually quite good, and, given how large it is, it's a great bang for the buck. Odd thing about a restaurant called "Jason's Deli" is that one of its weak points is that a lot of the other sandwiches really aren't so good. Panini(s), for example, are kinda slapped together and not pressed properly. But they're okay enough when paired with a soup and chips. Some of the items were out of stock on the salad bar but I was most disappointed with the other customers who were rude to the staff and the management. The employees and manager were working as efficiently as they could without any grace or understanding from a couple of men who could have simply taken their business and attitudes elsewhere. I love this place but there is a serious issue with parking seems the plaza that this place is in abuses the parking and allows for capital grille and seasons 52 to reserve ridiculous space that could be used in...wait for it...THE GARAGE across the drive. How about parking attendants walk across to the garage and not actual customers? Just a Jason's needs to address this issue with the property management company because I leave more often that I can find reasonable parking. They could double their business if they weren't taken advantage of by the poor quality of the property management company. read more

So there is a huge selection at this place including a salad bar. When you add the salad bar to a meal, they give you a much smaller plate than the salad bar alone and you only get one trip (so I had to load up). I like the salad bar choices. I ordered the cowboy brisket. The meat is sliced very thin, with BBQ sauce and onion. It was pretty tasty but comes with chips, to switch out to a side is additional. I enjoyed my meal but I thought overall it was a bit pricey. read more

As a frequent visitor to the former the location, I will tell you that I probably won't return to the new location. It is very small with a few tables that are too small to be comfortable at. The salad bar is no longer in public view as well as no more ice cream or refill station for drinks. As a person with many food allergies, I'm not sure I'm able to trust the new location as the staff was not very knowledgeable about food allergies. The food prep was also much slower than the previous location and they were not busy when we went. Only 2 other small groups (2 and 3 people) were there and they already were seated waiting for their food. Even though they had tables, ALL food was served in takeout bags, clearly indicating they want you to take the food out. We felt uncomfortable eating in the restaurant because of it. Perhaps that's not the intention of staff, but it sure feels that way. I sure hope you improve because I love Jason's food options. read more

Unsatisfying meal, you are buying essentially a nearly empty wrap. I went to Jason's Deli and ordered a turkey wrap, chips and a large drink for carryout at $9.88. The place was clean and well organized, the people were polite the price seemed fine. The order was prepared quickly. Unfortunately, my turkey wrap with lettuce and tomato was actually a lettuce and tomato wrap with turkey. There wasn't more than one slice of turkey in the entire wrap and hardly any vegetables. There was so little bulk in the wrap it just kept folding in half in my hand. It also had a 1oz potato chip bag which is almost the smallest made. Even the mint included in the bag was smaller than a dime. About the only thing that was normal was the dill pickle wedge. If you want a half empty vegetable wrap go there, if you want any food go somewhere else. read more

The manager, Jennifer, was terrible. I ordered the wrong sandwich through DoorDash, which can happen to anybody, and when I tried to explain the mistake, I was met with hostility and was talked down to. She kept saying she was confused and eventually said I would have to buy another sandwich, which I ended up doing. The only reason I'll be coming back is because the person working the cashier, Ruben, was very helpful and understanding and gave me a free drink. When used it yesterday there was one of the toilet, it loos worn out and the toilet paper and paper holder are falling apart. And the toilet seats are very wobbly. The kindness and generosity of Jason's Deli goes beyond words. And the food is great too!! I live in PA and forgot my niece's birthday (again). I heard she was sad bc she was sick and had to stay home from school. The kid lives Soup so I thought what better way to brighten her day than a special delivery of soup & cookies. Not only did Jason's come through but they went above and beyond because of some glitch the phone number I gave was out of service and my credit card wouldn't process. Super late one night after an event. Starving. Nothing is open and I don't usually eat fast food HOWEVER feeling exhausted and knowing I did not want to make anything I stopped in here. I was under the assumption that this was a healthy spot - turns out their actually known for all kinds of crazy stuff including an all you can stuff salad bar, and seriously stacked pastrami sammies. On a health kick there weren't really any sandwich options that were healthy although - TOTAL KUDOS for calorie information, so I went ahead and made my own. I must mention that I was totally annoying when doing this trying to order a few different sandwiches all create you own, and the man working behind the counter was seriously the SWEETEST! He was so excited about what the offered there and wanted to tell me all about it. He told me his favorites and helped me along the process. He deserves 5-stars because that kind of enthusiasm should be rewarded. I didn't get his name but this was Tuesday Oct 11th at 9:50 ten minutes before closing and he was a doll! So I ordered some super lame health-ish whole wheat sammies. To add to this young mans already stellar service he comes from behind the counter to let me know he forgot to tell me something and said, "I'm so sorry - I know you are eating healthy, but while you wait I must mention that we have FREE ICE CREAM so please if you want - help yourself." As far as easy, unfussy, and tasty meals go Jason's Deli is a great option. I chose to come here with my mother for a quick and relatively healthy dinner on a Monday evening. There was no line, as you order at the counter and the food is brought to your table, and our food was brought out within minutes. They have a large salad bar, the best -if not healthiest- part of which is the soft serve ice cream machine! I tend to opt for a sandwich and soup when I go here, my favorite being the Zuchinni Grillini. It's a great vegetarian option, and although I'm not one, I enjoy it and find it just as filling as something with meat. I also ordered a cup of the tortilla soup, which was very tomatoey and had a bit of a kick. Overall a great warm and cozy meal for fall. I think both of our meals together came to about $17, which is not very expensive for the amount of food we got. We were at LensCrafters and talking about finding a quick, flavorful place to grab dinner. The employees both mentioned Jason's deli, across the street on Edwards Street. They loved the salad bar and sandwiches. Checked out a few reviews and headed their way. Brandon helped us and he was awesome. Reviews talked about the chicken pot pie soup and I was curious about it though the chicken chili looked great too. He gave us samples and tonight the chili won but both were excellent!! Love that I knew what I was getting :). Brandon gave some other really good recommendations and we enjoyed everything! My husband got the Reuben sandwich and he was starving when we got there as we'd been busy and he had only had some trail mix all day.... I just asked what he thought and he said "it was really good and lean (very important to him) but very filling". I have had multiple meals from Jason's Deli in the past, but I recently visited the new location in Cincinnati and decided to give it a review. This is the chains first location in Cincinnati and fourth in Ohio. Today, Jason's Deli boasts more than 240 locations across 28 states. The Cincinnati location is in the newly opened Rookwood Exchange, in the same strip as Lime Fresh Mexican Grill, Ambiance Nail Salon & Spa, and Fraise Frozen Yogurt & Smoothies. The ordering counter is at the other end of the restaurant space from the main entry doors. Printed menus are available near the counter so you can make a decision before stepping up to a register. The menu is very lengthy with tons of sandwiches, muffalettas, soups, pastas, and a massive salad bar. After your order is placed, a number is handed to you, and you can take a seat at any available table. The food is brought out to you in a few minutes along with napkins and a fork. If you choose to eat from the salad bar, a plate is given to you right away for your convenience. On this visit I ordered the Santa Fé chicken sandwich served with potato chips ($6.99). Grilled chicken breast is combined with bacon, Swiss, guacamole, tomato, and Russian dressing, served on grilled whole grain wheat bread. I really enjoyed the sweet flavor of the dressing combined with the smokey bacon and always tasty guacamole. It was a great sandwich. The handful of chips were average salty potato chips, definitely the low point of the meal. I wish there were more options for a side dish. For dessert I had a small cup of complimentary ice cream from the soft serve machine. No toppings are available (other than a dark chocolate sauce) but it is free and tasty! Was in the area for lunch last week and I saw pasta salad in some pictures posted on here & that's what drew me in. Because I LOVE pasta salad! When I took a look at the menu I got pretty overwhelmed because they have a lot of options! Sandwiches (hot & cold), salads, wraps, pasta, soups. Also a full salad bar. I decided to just go with the salad bar since it looked pretty good & had the pasta salad included that drew me in. You order your food at the counter & it's brought to your table for you. But if you choose salad bar you are instructed to go to the end of the counter where they give you your tray for the salad bar that has a huge bowl on it with napkins & your silverware. I planned on getting a regular salad & trying the pasta salad too so I also asked for another small plate for that as well. The salad bar had many options which I loved! For greens there was an iceberg mix, a dark greens mix, & also plain baby spinach. There were at least 10 different dressings with the names on each ladle. With cool flavors like jalapeño ranch & dill vinaigrette. The veggies were also plentiful including the normal salad fixing like carrots, cucumbers, olives, mushrooms, cheese, whole boiled egg, bacon bits & cherry tomatoes. But also a few more interesting items like artichoke hearts, sliced bell peppers, broccoli, and a black bean & corn salsa. There was also a section of pasta salads that included your basic Italian pasta salad with the tri-color rotini, a pesto penne with cherry tomatoes & mozzarella cheese, & potato salad. Next to that there was another small section for what looked like desserts of sorts with things like cinnamon apples & things I didn't pay much attention to. Overall it was one of the better salad bars I've tried. It cost around $11 for the endless salad bar & a soft drink. I loved the salad options. But the thing I came in for, pasta salad, I thought was decent but needed more seasoning in my opinion. It was more of an olive oil based salad whereas I'm more into the tangy Italian dressing kind. The pesto penne was pretty good. And I LOVED the potato salad. I'll definitely be back to try the sandwiches next! read more

The standard Jason's Deli. Good deli sandwiches, a decent salad bar, and free ice cream and cornbread! They've done some renovations recently which were sorely needed. New seat covers with no cracks and holes are much more pleasant to see, and sit on. If you're looking for a good sandwich, my favorites are the Reuben, the Papa Joe, and the California Club. The latter is nice because it comes with fruit instead of chips. Of course, you can get any side you want, there's just usually an extra fee. I also recommend the blue chips and salsa. But if you do get regular chips, make sure you save some to dip in the vanilla ice cream for dessert! read more

I hadn't been to a Jason's Deli for a while and didn't remember much about it other than I liked it. So, I was kinda excited when I saw we had one in town. The BF and I stopped in one day for lunch. I would put this on the pricey side for a deli, but the food is decent and there is a wide variety of choices to accommodate different diets and tastes. You order at the counter on the way in and then sit and wait for them to bring your food to you. The staff was very friendly and quick to help out when needed. I don't remember exactly what I got, but it was good. The BF got a sandwich, which was huge, so he took the leftover half home for dinner. I got a piece of cheesecake (funny how I remember that without a problem. LOL!) and took it home to eat later. It was delish. Disappointing & Disgusting: I bought three kids pizzas. They were frozen and very little sauce and cheese. I requested additional toppings on one of the pizzas and they put the toppings on 1/4 of pizza. The pizzas were dry and seemed under cooked. I also bought a corned beef sandwich and it was dry. I tried this restaurant in Houston, TX and the chicken salad was delicious but when I tried the chicken salad it was DRY and lacked flavor. I will ne read more

Went on a Sunday evening around 7pm. The place wasn't busy at all. I ordered the Mediterranean wrap and chose the steamed veggies as my side, and also got a fountain drink. My grandmother was with me as well and between the two of us the total cost of the meal was around $25. My grandmother ordered the gumbo along with the plain Jane baked potato and and a sweet tea. Overall, the wrap was good and left me satiated. The meal left me full but not feeling stuff or heavy afterwards. My grandmother enjoyed her baked potato and the portion serving was alot. She said that the gumbo wasn't all that great. It was mostly just rice and very little fish and she didn't have any shrimp. This was my first time visiting this establishment as per recommendation by my grandmother. When ordering, I asked the cashier how big their potatoes were as I had never had one. He said that they were very large. So, I went ahead and ordered the baked potato and it was huge! It was almost 3 potatoes in one. It was a bit dry, but delicious. I had ordered without sour cream and this may have caused the dryness. It's sometimes hard for me to rate chain restaurants with 5 stars. That probably has to do with expectations; it's an expectation bias. You typically know what you are going to get, and it's hard to exceed expectations. Good news: Jason's Deli in Rookwood exceeds expectations, especially with regards to service. The food? Really good. Good prices, good presentation. I've typically gone with club and southwestern salads when I've visited, but I've had sandwiches at other locations. All good. 4 stars good. What an awesome experience my coworker and I had!! This was actually the very first restaurant I ever brought my son when he was an infant a few years ago. My coworker and I went for lunch the other day, his first time here and we both loved it. They have a very extensive menu and were able to cater to all of my weird requests. I ordered the ranchero wrap and my coworker got the Mediterranean wrap with fruit and broccoli cheddar soup. I saw they now have Mac and cheese, which was amazing, along with the side of chips and salsa. It was astounding how much bang you get for your buck! I loved every bite of everything I ordered, and you get complimentary corn bread and soft serve ice cream! Can't beat it. Also service was amazing!! Rueben took our order and way beyond knowledgeable about the menu and had wonderful recommendations!! He was so sweet and patient along with every other worker I had questions for. Food gets worse everytime I go here. One time someone dipped their finger in my soup setting it on my table then proceeded to act like it was fine (prob should serve soup on the salad bar), last time my potato was hard as a rock, and this time my potato was brown and hard.
