Curbside pickup was a breeze. You can order online in advance, set a time for pickup, and call as soon as you get there. The parking spot for curbside pickup is right in front of the restaurant, which is not optimal since it feels like it's kind of blocking traffic coming out of that shopping plaza. The food was ok, and I'll be the first to admit that I never really crave deli sandwiches. But this place would be good for when you're hungry and you need something in a pinch. I ordered the full muffuletta which comes with two sides of your choice and the smoky jack panini which comes with one side. Honestly, that was enough food to feed at least 3 people because the muffuletta was massive. I liked the panini, but it did get a little soggy on the drive home due to the guacamole. The muffuletta had waaaay waaaay waaaay too much olive tapenade because it was layered on the top and bottom parts of the sandwich such that several bites were purely olive tapenade with bread. I scraped off half the tapenade and the ratio was much better. All in all, the staff were timely with my order and as mentioned previously, I was a fan of the curbside pickup so I would definitely come back for the convenience alone. read more

Been reading reviews and hearing about other peoples trips to Jason's so me and a good bud hit this location up for a late Fried Day afternoon lunch. The gent behind the counter was very happy to explain the menu and point out some of the better known items but I, myself was there for one thing, Muffaletta! Since my bud didn't know what it was they were cool enough to show him a fresh one coming off the grill, sold! I have been to Nawlins and traveled much of the south and I gotta say this has to be one of the best versions of a muffletta I ever had north of the Mason- Dixon line. The muffaletta bread was great and a generous serving of their olive mix, ham, hard salami then grilled to awesomeness. This along side a tasy bowl of house made Broccoli Cheddar Zoup it made a big lunch and left me with half a sammich for laters. For a chain Deli I have to say my first trip here was pretty good and I'm looking forward to coming back for one of my life other passions....Reubens! For those of you giving this a first try, it's order at the counter, take a number back to your choice of seating then they bring the eats out to you. A large selection of self service fountain drinks plus a nice selection of iced teas (black currant, mmm). I didn't take advantage of the free self-service soft-serve ice cream but would be great for those of you with kids. This location sits in a strip center off Bridge St/161 east of the Kroger store and Roush Hardware. Glad I read the reviews first, so I was prepared. Went with a large group, which complicated things, but outside of that it's clear the ordering process is inefficient. Service was great, but the set-up is the problem. The food was pretty good. I had the salad bar, and a cup of poblano corn chowder. I like corn chowders, and heat, and I was satisfied on both counts there. The salad bar was well-stocked and fresh. Plus free muffins, ice cream, etc.... And plenty of drink choices, though the sweet tea was not very sweet, and not all that strong tea-wise. Others in our group had assorted sandwiches and liked them, so I'll be back to try some of those. read more

A pretty decent place for lunch. Jason's has a variety of soups and sandwiches as well as a full salad bar. I recommend the chili! It's tasty and filling. The salad bar is quite extensive and usually what I get --- an assortment of vegetables, hummus, potato and pasta salad and various toppings. No tuna salad in the salad bar, which is a bit of a bummer. The sandwiches are pretty good too. They have both hot and cold selections. You order at the counter and then pick up your dishes for the salad bar (either unlimited or single serving). They bring out the rest of the food to you. Beware the cherry tomatoes! (Private Joke) This is a nice little place for lunch. My Sweet One took me here for lunch on our travels around her former stomping grounds. It's clean, there is a good energy vibe to the place. The kitchen is open and the hustle bustle and rattle of equipment blends with a symphony of English and Spanish being yelled in that just loud enough busy kitchen tone that let's you know people know their jobs. My companion made an excellent observation that we later got a chance to see in action. The busier they got, the faster they got and the more orders were rolling out. You could watch the big bags of delivery going out and the constant flow of the line of walk-in customers rolling through. We got there right as they opened. The manager held the door for us- so we got a chance to see the lunch rush ramp up. This place can sling chow... We got nicely piled sandwiches on well made croissants and a trip to the salad bar (or ammo depot- private joke). The salad bar is very well appointed, a really nice variety of fresh vegetables and toppings. I would imagine that all chains have a "standard" and this location likely meets or exceeds what the Corporate Suits would like to see happening. There are outlets here in Maryland. The hubby and I went here last night for dinner before we caught a movie at the movie theatre. We've heard alot of great things about this place and figured since we were in the neighborhood that we'd check it out. We ordered our food and got our drinks after paying for our food. Pretty reasonable for two people if you ask me. We quickly found our table and our food came out within minutes. Talk about quick!! The food was very tasty and he had the beef stew. He LOVED it! I was very pleased with my California Club on a flaky croissant. This will definitely be a place that we will definitely check out again! They advertise they're open until 10 but starting at about 9 they put away the food, dump out the drinks, start mopping the floor...and despite the sign saying they're open til 10 they then seem to really get put out if you want to eat there. My husband says the only good thing on the menu is the BLT. I love the salad bar with lots of organic choices! This place gets busy during lunch - go early if you want to avoid the lines and find a table without searching or waiting. Lets start with the menu. I'm at a Deli so I'm looking for Corned Beef or Pastrami but all the signature sandwiches are Turkey. Reading the hand menu after placing my order i find under favorites, the New York Yankee a 3/4 pound combo of Corned Beef and Pastrami. Nothing on the wall menu but my own fault. I didnt ask I had a Pecos Grill: Turkey, Bacon Swiss, Guacomole on grain wheat. Very good sandwich. The place was huge. Long line but it moved quickly. I was given a card but placed on my table instead of in the center card holder so it took them a while to find me. The quality of food was good. The service was adequate. Not bad for a fast food deli. I will have to return so I can try some of the other selections and maybe raise this rating. read more

Husband and I go to Jason's a few times a month. We like to get a baked potato and their all you can eat salad bar for lunch. Today we were told the salad bar is no longer all you can eat. We were puzzled as the price did not reflect this. Still $10.39 for the salad bar. Also this was never mentioned when we ordered at the register. Today was my first time dining at Jason's Deli. My fiancé and I stopped by for a late lunch and upon looking over the menu, we both decided to try the Reuben with a side of potato chips. The sandwiches were HUGE! They are definitely generous with the meat and toppings. The food was excellent. We were also surprised to see that they have free self serve, soft serve ice cream. That was a pleasant treat. We spent about $10 per person and left stuffed. The dining room was also very clean and the staff was friendly and accommodating. I come here often and get the salad bar to go! The price for the amount of food is just awesome! I love the fact they don't weigh the salad so you can load up on veggies and the little muffins or pasta salad and not worry that you will end up with a $15-20 salad.. the quality of ingredients are superb.. the crackers are also amazing and so many choices. Wonderful! Magnificent for what it was! I had the " Managers Special" and my choice was the turkey mufalletto chips and one trip to the salad bar. Salad bar was simple but delightfully fresh and clean with nicely chosen side ingredients like the crusted bread chips and marvelously done mix of cranberries and other things. As usual, Jason's deli was great. We'd never been to his particular store, but my wife and I took our two teenage kids, my teenage nephew, and toddler niece/nephew for lunch after a busy day at the bouncy house. We were famished. We put some tables together and I placed the order. The food took about 10 minutes to arrive. My wife and I got the salad bar with our meals so we are while we waited. The salad bar was stocked, fresh, and delicious. I'd recommend labeling the dressing better, but otherwise it was good. We particularly enjoy the 3 grain crackers, and the chocolate pudding is a bit much with the chocolate chips, but that's okay. The food was delicious. The orders were right. The kids meals were perfect for the 3 and 5 year olds. When one became ornery halfway through, I just reminded her that there was free ice cream by the salad bar for kids who are their food. Being said, I'm not much for bribing kids to eat, but I'm the uncle. I get to sugar them up and send them home. And I love free so... We spent about $80 for 3 adults, 3 teenagers, and 2 toddlers. That's about $10 a person. Not terrible. I've been to lots of Jason's Delis. They are consistent and reliable. This one was no exception. If you've never been, go. It's worth it. If you have enjoyed them before, this one is on par with the rest of the chain. read more

Disclaimer: When reviewing an establishment there has to be some sort of frame of reference. For example, I'm not going to review Long John Silvers and think about Mitchells Ocean Club or review The Ponderosa by comparing to Ruth Cris's. It seems as though some are comparing Jason's to real authentic delis and some are comparing it to chain sandwich places. This is going to greatly affect your review. Since it is a chain joint, I opted for the latter. I've enjoyed Jason's on several occasions and never ordered anything that I did not like. A few of my favorites are the California club (put avocado on pretty much anything and I'm giddy) and the roast beef po boy with a side of au jus. The ingredients are always fresh and everything is prepared to order. By far my favorite item (and top 10 glutenous treats of all time) are the mouth watering baked potatoes that are simultaneously bigger than your head (yes. . . bigger. . .than . . your . . head) and loaded with stuff like shredded barbecue and cheese or grilled chicken, cheese, pico de gallo and sour cream. The are piping hot, flavorful, huge and loaded with toppings. A huge potato would be useless of the ratio of toppings was not on par, but that is not the case at Jason's. The pollo loco is my favorite but the shredded pork is a close second. I think they have a lot of healthy stuff too, but I just spent an entire paragraph describing potatoes as big as your head using words like 'ratio of toppings', 'favorite' and 'mouth watering' so I don't think I'm the best person to yelp about sprouts and radicchio. The place gets packed at lunch so go early to get a table. No matter how busy the service is usually fast though. Grab a free ice cream cone on the way out. As far as chain deli's go I think Jason's is pretty much tops. My only complaint is that there is a minimum delivery order of $25 and they charge you like $7 on top of that for the delivery. By comparison, Jimmy Johns will bring me one sandwich for no charge at all. I prefer Jason's but definitely have to pick it up or eat on premise. Fresh tasty sandwiches and an all you can eat salad bar!! Since it was my first time here - had to settle for the Half California Club sandwich and Salad bar special ($7.49). The California Club with avocado and bacon was served on a toasted croissant bun. It had fresh vegetables and went great with the side of Ruffles chips and salad. The salad bar didn't have the most elaborate selection but it was clean. Would take cleanliness over variety any day. There was even free garlic bread and dessert too! Overall the large spacious seating area, jazz music and fresh food made for a great lunch spot. Recommend for sure! read more

Yes, it's a chain, but I REALLY-REALLY like Jason's Deli. Our work normally caters with this company, which provides pretty decent cold cut sandwiches, but I wanted the whole experience, so we stopped here in search of some good food lacking the grease and extra garbage. The vegetarian options here are pretty delicious. I tried their Spinach mushroom wrap and it was really yummy, pair it with some fruit and you'll have a delightful and light lunch to keep you going throughout the day. Their salad and soup bar looks amazing. I may have to try that on my next stop. Even some of the order salads they were touting on ad cards looked amazing, and are also amazingly good for you. I'm in love that they try to use organic produce and other options instead of the generic, GFS, run of the mill food items. Perhaps that is also what makes Jason's stand above the other contenders. Their ordering system is confusing for first timers.... Everything is just oddly placed, and looking at their paper carryout menu instead of a board is a little annoying, too and takes some extra time. If you're new, then you might want to grab a menu and step towards the carryout area while you decide. But HELLO--- Free Ice cream, Ya'll! It's not Jeni's by any means... in fact it's probably the cheapest of cheap ice-cream you could ingest, but it's there for all you dirty diet cheaters and kid's at heart. Jason's is definitely going into my book of regular stops from now on. Awesome for lunch and a little better for your health than that McDonald's across the street. read more

Quite a large space. Got here a bit before 12pm, and we didn't have to wait more than 3 minutes to step up to the counter and place our order. Yep, customers order at the front registers, your given a number to place at you table of choice, and they bring the stash to you. I was seriously distressed trying to and a decision of vegetarian or carnivore, so I decided on the single-trip salad bar and half sandwich combo. I saw Jen T's pic of the Wild Salmon-wich, and couldn't resist. Took my obliged trip to the container stand, while waiting on the fish dish. Lots of yummy toppings - egg, red beets, fresh cheeses, a few pasta salads. They have a corn/roasted red pepper salsa that caught my eye - an awesome display of colors! I actually had higher expectations for this salad bar joint. Was expecting more toppings, but I shant get too picky. Here fishy, fishy! Lets start outside, work in: Focaccia bun was light and airy - fresh taste; a big scoop of avocado spread on that bun! The salmon was decent. Perhaps just a dash of seasoning, or a simple sprinkle of salt and pepper would do just the trick. Why there is no sandwich and salad bar establishment on the east side of town, I can't answer. After a couple years of being open, I feel like it is finally time to review Jason's. I come here relatively often due to its proximity to work and I tend to get a different thing each time. Jason's is a great place to go for lunch and their large menu has something for everyone. Get there early or late because the line can get long around noon. I'll start by mentioning that the salad bar is the most O.M.G. amazing salad bar I've ever been to. They give you a giant bowl to fill up with various lettuces, cheeses, veggies and dressings. If you can't find a combination of salad toppings that you like, you have some very strange tastes. They also have a variety of sides such as hummus (yum!), potato salad, and crackers. Moving on to the sandwiches, I have really enjoyed everything that I have ordered. Of course there is the legendary Reuben that is like 6 inches tall, and tastes great. Their paninis are good too, but that brings me to a sore spot I have with Jason's. That sore spot is inconsistency with portion sizes. If you order a Reuben, be prepared for 2 pounds of food. If you order the hot sandwich that I had yesterday (the Poppa Joe, I think), you might get something tiny that barely registers as a snack. I guess I need to settle on a sandwich that fills me up and stick with it, but that's really what prevents a 5-star rating. I've also had some of their soups and I really like the French Onion. Last time I was sick with strep throat, it really hit the spot. Oh yeah, and there is free ice cream for dessert! read more

I love this place, and can't wait for more to open in cbus. So far it has proven to have the best reuben sandwich in Columbus and all of the other sandwiches I've had have stood the taste test. Everything tastes fresh and the staff is always friendly. The salad bar is probably the best I've ever had. i love the fat free French dressing, and many times will just get the salad bar only for dinner because its able to stand up on its own so well. We ordered two salad bars and extra protein. The lettuce was soaking wet sitting in a pool of water. There was barely enough for two people. Bacon bits were empty as was the ranch dressing. The restroom was dirty and the door to the restroom was very gross looking. The entire place felt dirty and run down. The ice cream machine was filthy and the ice cream was blah and melted. Of the 5 employees working only 1 was actually doing anything. It's a shame because the Grandview location is awesome. It'll be a while before we go back to this location. read more

I stopped in for lunch one day alone. I had no idea how to order or where to sit. But the staff did a really good job at guiding me. I really wanted to try the salad bar. I have for a while and never got around to it until then. It wasn't disappointing. It was one of the best salad bars i have ever had. Next time i am definitely going to have to try a sandwich. It's set up a little like a cafeteria. The environment is pretty relaxed. You get to watch them make your sandwiches and joke among each other. They have really delicious iced tea as well. This is the kind of place you can be a regular at. Everything seems of good quality at reasonable prices. I can't see being disappointed when leaving no matter what you order. My partner recently had oral surgery and Jason's was the first thing he ate- yes, it's that good. They have a variety of soups that make your mouth water. I got 2 soups, french onion and broccoli cheese, and they were both amazing (even after being in the fridge)! The staff were friendly and made small talk with me while I waited for my carry-out order. The place was clean, and for 11pm surprisingly empty. When I left more customers were coming in, so I must have just beaten the lunch rush. I would go back here and try a something more substantial next time. Jason's Deli is great for what it intends to be: A fast-paced deli counter offering fresh options, with specialties in moving large volumes of people. Everything I've ever had from Jason's has been decently good, and especially reliable. The cost for efficiency and consistency at Jason's however, seems to be flavor and creativity. But, I don't think that's why people come here. It's a picky eater's haven. Most of the choices are on every lunch counter's menu, or maybe already sitting in your fridge. If you're trying to eat a little healthier, they have a good lighter-fare menu with calorie counts available right on the menu. The tables and booths for dining in feel a little institutional. Think hospital cafeteria. We went during a slow time on a weekend, and though the tables were all bussed, not all were wiped down. The SSSS (Self Serve Soft Serve) ice cream machine is kind of fun, if a bit messy. The consistency is a bit icy and drippy but hey... free! read more

This particular store has been my only experience with Jason's Deli, but one that keeps me coming back! The store is clean, people friendly, and the manager Eric goes out of his way to ensure guests have an amazing experience. On my last visit I ordered the usual half-sandwich with side salad bar. This is definitely the best deal in the store for vegetarians! (I recommend the zucchini grillini sandwich and as many organic veggies as your heart desires.) The salad bar was my first stop while I waited for my sandwich to be delivered to my table. However, I was 3/4 done eating when I realized my sandwich was nowhere in sight, even though my husband's had already been delivered. Luckily the manager Eric approached our table to check on us and we made him aware of the issue. He was very apologetic and offered to bring us some soup to make up for the wait. I declined the soup offer, however decided to wait for the sandwich so I could take it to-go. I was already done with my salad by the time the sandwich came out, however Eric went out of his way to include a full sandwich, fruit salad and pickle in with my to-go box. I was blown away! I would wholeheartedly recommend this Jason's Deli to anyone who wants great food and service at an affordable price. I'll be sure to tell everyone about it! (PS. And they have free ice-cream!
