This particular store has been my only experience with Jason's Deli, but one that keeps me coming back! The store is clean, people friendly, and the manager Eric goes out of his way to ensure guests have an amazing experience. On my last visit I ordered the usual half-sandwich with side salad bar. This is definitely the best deal in the store for vegetarians! (I recommend the zucchini grillini sandwich and as many organic veggies as your heart desires.) The salad bar was my first stop while I waited for my sandwich to be delivered to my table. However, I was 3/4 done eating when I realized my sandwich was nowhere in sight, even though my husband's had already been delivered. Luckily the manager Eric approached our table to check on us and we made him aware of the issue. He was very apologetic and offered to bring us some soup to make up for the wait. I declined the soup offer, however decided to wait for the sandwich so I could take it to-go. I was already done with my salad by the time the sandwich came out, however Eric went out of his way to include a full sandwich, fruit salad and pickle in with my to-go box. I was blown away! I would wholeheartedly recommend this Jason's Deli to anyone who wants great food and service at an affordable price. I'll be sure to tell everyone about it! (PS. And they have free ice-cream! I had the meatball sub let's say I enjoyed ever bite for sure. I paired it with the chili. Not a big fan of that. The taste wasn't something that I normally prefer. I got a side salad. I like the fact that it is buffet style so make it however you desire. The set up is more grown up cafeteria style. They give you a number and bring your food to you. We ordered two salad bars and extra protein. The lettuce was soaking wet sitting in a pool of water. There was barely enough for two people. Bacon bits were empty as was the ranch dressing. The restroom was dirty and the door to the restroom was very gross looking. The entire place felt dirty and run down. The ice cream machine was filthy and the ice cream was blah and melted. I stopped in for lunch one day alone. I had no idea how to order or where to sit. But the staff did a really good job at guiding me. I really wanted to try the salad bar. I have for a while and never got around to it until then. It wasn't disappointing. It was one of the best salad bars i have ever had. Next time i am definitely going to have to try a sandwich. It's set up a little like a cafeteria. The environment is pretty relaxed. You get to watch them make your sandwiches and joke among each other. They have really delicious iced tea as well. Crowded, but decent food. The food here is good; I think their sandwiches are interesting, made with reasonably good ingredients, and served quickly. It tastes a little better than a cafeteria. What I don't like is the hustle and bustle going on around me. It's not like there's a dearth of food spots in this neighborhood, but everyone seems to gravitate here, so you're always surrounded by a crowd. Is it the free soft-serve? Stopped in here prior to game night. Atmosphere: this restaurant is located at the end of a shopping plaza with plenty of parking in front. Since it's on the end, there is an entrance to the plaza right there, so caution must be used when crossing the street from the parking lot. The interior is spacious and open. It reminds me of a cafeteria in the design. Ample seating provides space for groups of variable sizes. Upon entering, turn left to get to the area where you order food. Once you've ordered your food, you walk down an aisle to pay and receive your cups. Just beyond that are the drink stations and salad bar, along with the free ice cream dispenser. The restaurant was nice and clean and I noted staff cleaning frequently during our visit. Staff: they were all polite and friendly. Since this was only our second visit to a Jason's Deli, we needed some guidance and they were quick to provide it in a professional manner. Food: I ordered a corn beef sandwich with chips and my girlfriend ordered a baked potato with some sort of chicken/salsa/cheese filling. We were both very happy with our food and the portions were just right...the baked potato was huge! The corned beef was very different from what I've had before, but it was good. The only thing I didn't like was the ice cream. I'm not sure what it was, but it wasn't any soft serve ice cream I had ever eaten. Had only eaten at Jason's Deli once before and just started going more frequently since our office is closer and they have some great food. Sandwiches are good, soups that I've tried so far are tasty (broccoli cheese is my favorite) and the salad bar is a great one. Only positive, and the only reason they are getting 2 stars, is the staff we dealt with were very friendly. That said... The sandwich I ordered was bad. The quality wasn't great, seemed thrown together and not what I would expect for an $8 sandwich. Steamed veggies we're just about raw. Best part of the lunch was the tea, which was not made by anyone at Jason's Deli. Now where things got worse...I watched a woman making a meatball sub miss the bun with a meatball, have it hit her dirty apron and then proceed to place it right into the roll. I feel sorry for the person who ordered that sandwich. Then I watch the cooks numerous times lean over the counter with their very dirty aprons brushing against the sandwiches they were making. I'd hate to see what they do when they are handling food when people can't see them. Last but not least beware of the free ice cream. Watched several kids handle multiple cones and put them back...lucky for your the germs are free too! First time visiting this place, i choose the Specialty Chicken Sand which, came with Chips, For about $7 it was a pretty good deal, there wasn't a big line for lunch rush, place is a little loud and busy but i choose to go option. Im from the chicago area. Deli's are a dime a dozen. This one has a great selection, you can order online, fresh bread, soups, great vegan menu, healthy choices, plenty of meat for the carnivore in your life! Service was good. Best of all for me, I was unaware that they have Jasons in Chicagoland. Do stop here ! So many choices, Im sure you'll have trouble deciding what to order. So this place knows how to crank the people on through. I tried to place my order and pay. I did this wrong. But they were nice to me about it even though I botched it all up. I was instructed to place my order then go pay so that the sandwich makers would be able to place my order quicker. Faster food is something I always aim for. Word to the wise: I got a muffaletta. There is a lot of bread on those (hence the name I guess, but I was clueless). I got the veggiletta and it was pretty good. Not the best sandwich EVAR, but I liked it. And those puppies are HUGE. Like, I get the impression the full-size is roughly the size of my head, because the half was, you know, half my head. Bottom line: you'll get your money's worth! Don't let your eyes get bigger than your stomach because you will eat too much or feel food guilt about not finishing. I have been here a lot. I always get the Spicy Gumbo. They have a great salad bar and free soft serve ice cream. They have a large dinning area with tables and booths, which is a great place to meet and catch up for lunch or dinner. Their sandwiches and wraps are great too. Looking for a quick bite Jason's Deli was the answer. They feature a large menu of sandwich options including traditional and non-traditional, a salad bar, bread bar plus free ice cream for dessert. I ordered the pastrami on rye which was good but the meat was a little tough and chewy. I would like to try more options but they do not have any locations in the New Orleans area. You can't go wrong at Jason's deli. There is typically a long line around the lunch rush hour so best bet is to call in ur order ahead of time and pick it up. Everything is of great quality, very fresh & they try to Get as many organic products as possible. I've been to this location with the gf over 10 times since we live a minute away- Everything I have tried has been good, but I usually opt for the half a sandwich/salad combo- I think they have the best Salad Bar for a chain restaurant that I have been too. Ordering process is kinda confusing for newbies, but its worth trying out if you are in the area. If you're just getting salad DON'T wait in line - go all the way to the right and you can pay immediately. You order at one station, get a number, and then pay later on down the line. You display this number on your table for a server to bring you the food you ordered. As for choices, there are so many - you can go from wraps to pannini sandwiches to salads. All fresh, crisp and quite tasty. The have combo meals if you're looking to save a buck, but trust me when I say the portion sizes are HUGE. I had a Reuben and a cup of chicken pot pie soup. The Reuben was tender, flavorful and complemented well with the sauerkraut. I think they do it well and it's a staple for me at Jason's. Their online ordering system is poorly designed. Especially around date/time delivery. If you place your order to late in the day, it "rolls" the date on you. I had this happen on my last order. Thinking I was getting delivery @ 5:30 "today" and it scheduled it out 24.5 hours later. I called the Deli with my confirmation number when no order had been received and they could not locate order . "I must have placed it with another Deli/Location". Even thought the email confirmation specifically provided their phone number! So when ordering online (late) watch out!. This is a chain restaurant, however the Dublin location is the only one in Ohio. This chain roared into town and forced the former local restaurant "Jason's" (also located on Bridge Street. in Dublin) to change its name to "J Liu" because of trademark/copyright. I wanted to try this spot having heard good things from friends out of town. This deli restaurant is located in the Village Square shopping center at the east end. This is a DELI - I would not call it a New York deli or a Kosher deli, I think they would classify it as an ORGANIC deli restaurant with quality ingredients - so no matzoh balls, gefilte fish, pickled herring, beef tongue, chopped liver or pickle barrel. Walking in, it's an impressive space - he food prep is open and against one wall. Perpendicular to it is the beverage wall and a HUGE fresh salad bar. The place has dark wood booths, tables and chairs and I imagine the place can get quite noisy during the height of lunch or dinner times. Ceiling fans cool the place down, and there is a small patio space for al fresco dining. When you walk in, you/re barraged behind the counter with people wanting to help you. I would recommend you study the menu before you arrive via their website or take a couple of minutes to read when you get there - they've designed a large waiting area, so it is easy to step aside to study. They offer separate counters for dining in and placing carryout, in fact the carryout counter offers a separate entrance. Excellent traffic pattern planning here. I fixed my drink, attached my number to the table top stand, and received my food on china plates and a real knife and fork within 5 minutes. WOW - the sandwich was huge - at least 5 inches tall on a fresh tasty onion roll. The pastrami was lean and thin sliced. The turkey breast was also very fresh and thinly sliced. The Swiss was great quality - nutty with a bite. The pickle spear was cold and crunchy - you may want to ask for extra pickles if you're used to a whole pickle from your usual deli. The honey mustard cole slaw was very fresh - consisting mostly of purple cabbage, some green and carrots - the dressing was light, sweet and tangy- the salad tasted freshly made (likely today) This was a GREAT quality sandwich. It may seem a bit pricey, but it seems like the usual price for lunch these days is near a 10 spot. The ingredients were very high quality, fresh, and very tasty. OH - the best thing - along the beverage aisle, there is an ice cream machine - everyone is welcome to make a free ice cream cone for dessert. The texture reminded me of TCBY - so it may be a frozen yogurt or a very low fat ice milk - but anyway- what a great way to end a tasty lunch! All in all - a great casual lunch or dinner spot - I can't wait to come back and to try the salad bar (full of organic greens and veggies) and their other sandwiches. Tried this Jason's for the first time today. We were there just before the lunch rush. I gave this Jason's 5 stars because it is better than the one in our hometown (Naperville, IL). The procedure here is a little different than in Naperville. Here you give your order to one person and then pay a different person. The result is that your order gets to the "kitchen" faster and the food gets to your table quicker. Our sandwiches were very good. The bread was fresh and ample meat on the New York Yankee. The food is good and it came out hot, fresh and fast. Very clean atmosphere and the staff is friendly. There were two worker's cleaning the tables and chairs, one was even sitting on the floor wiping the legs and being very thorough with her cleaning. I gave them two stars because when they were called to help deliver food to the tables, they didn't wash their hands before handling the plates of food. The staff is always friendly in a genuine manner, and the service is pretty quick. The soups are also well made and the salad bar is a nice option for a lighter meal. My experience here in Dublin was horrible. The place was dirty as could be. All the tables had leftover food on them. Actually washed my own table to sit down and eat. We ordered Reubens with extra kraut . We asked for water, got charged for fountain pop. Sandwiches came out no extra kraut and chips that were from the bottom of the bag. Manager remade sandwiches and WOW. We were wondering why nobody was in the store on a Saturday night well now we know. Our sandwiches now had half the meat and 2 inches of kraut with no dressing or cheese. I would say they were being a little sarcastic and over kill. This is like the 2nd time food was good for the amount of money the sandwiches are. 10.50 for a Reuben sandwich. Manager was very unprofessional and didn't care to talk about it. I've eaten here twice now and on the whole it's pretty good. But it's not close to Katzinger's, which I consider to be the best deli in town. I've had two sandwiches and soup, and their mac & cheese. The prices are more than reasonable, but the food is in the B+ category. read more
