This was my first time eating at Jason's Deli. My first impression was so-so. The employee welcomed me as I walked in. She immediately pointed out the menu on the counter. I really can't read the menu on the wall. I ordered Ham Muffuletta Special - the New Orleans signature sandwich. It should come with choices of chips and sides. I chose bagged chips because I don't want to eat it right there; and spicy seafood gumbo. Food arrived quickly as I was reading Yelp reviews. I noticed Yelper friend mentioned free ice cream. I opted to check it out. Oh boy. That thing spit out the soft serve syrup all over my shirt. I lost appetite. I told an employee but due to language barrier, she thought something else and responded with inaudible words. So, I left. The sandwich was delicious. I couldn't let go of the sandwich until all gone. The spicy seafood gumbo was filled with rice. I was so full. That was too much starch for me in one meal. On my receipt, it says pickle should come with my meal. I don't know if this was old info on a receipt or they stopped serving pickles. Can't complete a sub without a wedge of dill pickle. Oh well. as the food was enjoyable the ambience and customer service isn'. I've been to this location multiple times when different managers are there. Stephen is great but their manager the light skin gentleman I believe his name is Justin is very rude to customers and have seen him while eating, when homeless people come in give them free food from the bar. Also yesterday after my visit I don't think I will be returning. While eating my lunch sitting down I seen the same manager assault a customer at the front door and in the parking lot while he was clocked in. Higher ups should pay attention to who they especially promote as managers for establishments like Jason Deli. read more

Not to be confused with Jason's Delhi, which is when my friend (Mr Bourne) went to visit the capital of India, and produced a documentary about it. I'm not crazy about Jason's Deli, but there are worse places to go and get your salad and there are some healthy things here, even though they're not nearly as cheap as they used to be. I wanted to give them 3 stars because their prices went up but Barbi likes a lot of things about them, their veggies, salad bar, although the chopping of veggies is a little on the large side, like she says that I am down below. When I'm in the mood for a sandwich, this is usually where I go. I'm a softie for croissants, and they always satisfy me since my fav order is a sandwich on a croissant: the club royale. And royale it is. I think it's a mix of the croissant and the honey mustard that taste the best. This particular sandwich has no shortage of meat, and it always seems so fresh. Anytime I order from this location, either online or in person I haven't had a problem. They are sometimes busy but always seem to get my food out in a decent time. The last time I was here, someone mistakenly (I hope) grabbed my order for Uber eats and they just remade it without a hassle. I was thankful and impressed. However, I was disappointed when my drink was delivered without any kind of protection on it. I don't know the person delivering the meal and I wasted $3.59 on a drink that I am afraid to drink for fear that something could have been put into it without my knowledge. Jason's deli turned out to be much better than I had expected. I was a JD Virgin. I had never been to one and so did not expect what was it like. I grew up eating the over rated, stingy meat servin', too bready, SUBWAY. When I first walked in, I noticed that this place was very well spread out and there were plenty of seats for customers to choose from. We went right at noon, a busy lunch hour. As I was speeding through the menu, the line behind me was almost at door, and I felt rushed to order my food. I have a fetish to graze at menu up n down till I feel comfortable enough to order. Upon the cashiers recommendation, j went with the Santa Fe chicken sandwich which came with chips. We also ordered the turkey croissant that came with cut up fruit. Both items were tasty, although the chicken was lacking salt. The turkey croissant was soft and turkey was flavorful. The croissant was not greasy and so it was just right. The servers bring food out to your table. They also have a salad n soup bar where U can pay for those items. I believe it was a self service payment kiosk. Also they have a ice cream machine and ice cream is complimentary. I see myself coming back and trying other items from the menu. #JD might be my new go to joint for subs. Well I'm glad I waited cuz this location was walking distance from the hotel. And I'm here to tell you that this place should have locations in every major city in the US because they make Jimmy John's and Jersey Mike's look like refrigerated subs at Walmart... Known for their Muffalettas, I decided to try one to see if they compared to my sandwich experience in Baton Rouge at Rocco's. (No sandwich really has compared to theirs)... But Jason's did! Every bit as good a Muffaletta as Rocco's and much much more. (Sorry Rocco's)... Please try Jason's Deli if you ever happen to come by one. They don't disappoint. No they're not as good as a "true" local neighborhood Jewish deli. But as far as chains go? These guys have the competition beat hands down!!! The staff has always been welcoming when we go. It's usually pretty clean unless the lunch crowd just tornadoes through the place - then you might struggle to find a clean booth. The salad bar has always been well stocked with fresh ingredients. No mushy lettuce or soggy carrots. I love the organic flat breads too! From artichokes & beets to ... ok, slight exaggeration, I don't think they made it to zucchini. Seriously, you can build a humongous salad. It's almost embarrassing to ask for a clean plate for a second trip. That's probably why most diners ignore the request. The garlic toast is deadly. The muffins are way too tempting. Add-ins like seeds, nuts and raisins can add to the calorie count. Ranch dressing assures you've killed the notion of eating healthy. That said, save room for their ice cream.
