I have visited Jasper's on 2 occasions. The first time I thought it was OK, they were really busy, so I forgave a few imperfections. The second time was the proof in the pudding. The burgers were fair, greasy and lack luster. The fries were way under cooked. I won't be back. read more

A very small place with huge taste, the seating in the winter is tough because there are only 6 smallish tables inside (always full and always great service) spring and summertime outside seating opens up a lot more tables. The menu is versed in depth of so many types of burgers (and hot dogs), Elk, Boar, Alligator, Kangaroo, Kobe beef, Antelope (my sons favorite) the list goes on... I have tried almost every single one on the menu! The milk shakes (like 15 flavors) are incredible and delicious (flavors abound), they have a "happy hour" at 3pm burger prices drop, I got a basket of fries, burger and drink $5!! The flat grill method in NO WAY takes away from the flavor (best in town) John, the owner, is a very friendly and stand up guy, always looking for feedback to improve or continue the course. There is an incredible amount of variety on the menu for a burger place. They have many different to type of meats that they creatively combine with many different toppings. The three specialty burgers that I have had were all great. The staff they was extremely friendly and helped us with or selection. This place is always packed but it is worth a wait. read more

We waited 20 minutes after ordering for two burgers and a basket of fries. They ran out of iced tea....who does that when it's free refills?? Omg what an amazing place. All of the burgers are off the wall, with unique toppings. They even offer natural grass fed options, as well as elk, and bison. It was hard to decide what one to order. Food was good but service just plain lousy. Were seated at 1pm, ordered drinks and they came immediately. Then we waited 20 minutes and finally asked if we could order lunch. I had never been here before tonight. I have to travel to medford once a month for work and this was my first trip. I used yelp to find something close to my hotel and found Jaspers. They had some very interesting burgers and only 2 miles away, so I gave it a try. I tried the jiffy because I like weird stuff. it easy definitely weird, but totally awesome. the staff was very friendly awesome very fast. The amount that of food for the price was astonishing. I got a huge deluxe burger, a giant side of tots and a craft beer for maybe a couple of bucks more than a soggy combo meal at a fast food joint. I will definitely be back next month! read more

Every single time I have been there, I have received top notch customer service, and the food is excellent. I was able to get my ultra-conservative dad from the Midwest to try some exotic meat here once (honestly do not remember if it was ostrich or kangaroo or something else, this was a few years ago, mind you) and he enjoyed it. We really liked the motif of the restaurant. We ate outside under the trees in the shade, and were thankful that a slight breeze was occurring that day. The shakes were consistent with what Red Robin would provide. There was nice diversity of burger selection. The French fries came in two sizes and we opted for the large basket and shared it as sampling to our family of four. The portion sizes were average for all the food, and the pricing seem to be accurate based on the quantity of food and quality of food that you get elsewhere. read more

Both lady friend and I got royally urpy after two burgers.

Ended up not eating here. We were basically insulted the entire time we were there. Everyone rushing around. We were told to move back and wait because people were ahead of us. we didn't see a very low sign that indicated we should wait to be seated. It was a new protocol for this place. We were asked to order take out. No we wanted to eat in. When we were seated A waiter came over and sat down to ask us if we were having a good day and instead of taking an order started recommending places to shop. The owner then came over and told him to move on. No one took our order and so we left. No matter how great the food might be, we had lost our appetite. The Cafe is pretty tiny, but the service was good, and there was outdoor seating. Lunch was really good. The burger I ate was awesome. It was the Caprice. It's a burger with fresh basil leaves balsamic vinegar, and mozzarella. It came with fries and a small drink. We got there for "happy hour" so the buger baskets were 5 bucks. My boyfriend and I just got back from Japser's, and if I may so, BEST BURGER EVER. No joke. If you are a foodie looking for a real thrill, try any one of Jasper's exotic flavors. I had the Widow Maker, an antelope patty with to-die-for peanut butter bbq sauce, and my boyfriend had the boar bbq. If you're like us and like to explore different culinary tastes but on a working man's budget, Jasper's is right for you! We almost tackled a worker on the way out just to let them know how thrilled we were with our experience. The tiny building and cramped quarters is more than made up for in big tastes. I used to love eating here and supporting the local business until the owner refused to honor a $10 gift certificate that I won on the local radio station. I won the certificate 3 weeks before and it had expired after only having it for 2 weeks and the owner refused to honor it. Been wanting to come here since I moved here. My coworker recommended it since I asked what burger joints there are around Medford. Okay....only been here once but maybe go back and give a second chance, but first impressions are pretty lasting. The most important thing for me to review is the food. The burger no doubt was huge but the reason for the two stars is the flavor, big burger bland flavor and very overpriced. 31 dollars for two combo meals. Not worth it at all. The fries were nothing to rave about. I thought it was my burger only since it was a lean buffalo burger but I tried my wife's burger and it was flavorless as well. read more

This is my halfway point between Seattle and Los Angeles. I will time my travel just so I can get a burger and a shake here. Every time I want to order two more burgers for the road. My only complaint is that I don't live close enough to try every burger on the menu. I travel a lot (35 states and 17 countries so far) and their burgers would still be number 1 on my list.
