Great coffee. Great service. Beautiful building. Got myself an iced vanilla latte to start my day. Will probably stop by a couple more times before we leave.

Order: Lrg Hazel Nut Latte Pros: ilI walk pass this place often but i've never actually gone in. Today I wanted to give them a try. The latte was okay. I cant quite put my finger on the issue but Ive certainly had better lattes. Its not bad though. Its clean inside and employees were nice. Cons: nothing bad

During my visit to Portland, Java Man was by far my favorite coffee shop to visit. The baristas were the some of the friendliest we encountered. There were beautiful plants everywhere, creating a peaceful atmosphere. Around the shop were comfortable couches upon which to sit. There were also comfy stools that molded to your tush. They serve beignets on demand (woo-hoo!) and make delicious drinks. The dirty chai in particular was crazy tasty with a great balance of chai flavor. Also, the midnight mocha, which, despite the name, had a banana flavor with the mocha, was a delightful surprise. I absolutely will return here on my next Portland visit!

    My lovely view! Yum!

Great service! I tried the coconut latte, it was delicious! I needed a little treat, so they make beignets fresh when you order, so of course I tried them! I am a flygirl aka stewardess aka flight attendant, so I have been in the New Orleans and had them there...these were good, but not NO good! It's like being from Mexico and eating Mexican food in Albuquerque NM. It's good, just not the same good! lol! The street views and ambiance will make you feel like You are in the middle of a 1990's sitcom. Very nice coffee shop.

Java Man is a great spot I discovered while visiting Portland -- one of the few places open early on a Memorial Day. The interior once you walk in is immediately a bunch of plants (for sale) so that's where my my eyes were drawn to (not the menu on the board, coffee bags or pastries). Java Man has this laid-back, slightly quirky vibe and again lots and lots of plants = coffee + plants? Either way, it works. Maybe it's a bit stretch but feels like a little urban forest café. :) Once my head space was able to focus on the coffees-- you have the option of ordering at kiosk or at counter. I always prefer in-person interactions so ordered with the barista! I selected the seasonal drink -- the Ube Latte -- but I must have misheard the friendly barista when they asked if liked (she meant wanted) Vietnamese... so long and behold, I got upsold and got myself strong coffee! At first, I thought this latte looks "darker" than normal. Hahaha. Normally, I love strong coffee, but I wasn't planning on something so strong today -- as I actually wanted to sleep later on that day. One sip and all forgotten, as the one was creamy and smooth, perfectly balanced with the strong coffee. Yumminess for sure. Overall, great service, consistently good coffee (and plain vanilla hot latte), and a spot that makes you want to stay a little longer. Totally recommend stopping by to support the venue.

food is good, drinks are okay, the service was pretty bad. the girl with the bangs was so rude, i came on a very slow morning and it was my first time here so i had questions like what was in what and she looked at me dumbfounded, id ask her a question and she'd just look at me like i was disrupting her, like i get it, i work in customer service too and sometimes costumers give you a hard time and it makes you in a bad mood, but i literally had asked about 1 drink and she made me feel so bad about it so i didn't ask any other questions and just ended up ordering stuff i didnt exactly want which is probably why the drinks weren't the best, but other than that the place is super cute and it's a very nice spot i wish i felt more welcomed to stay inside though, but it's okay.

Java Man was a huge part of our trip to Portland! Once we discovered this place we came back over and over again! The coffee was great, the food was great our sandwiches were so delicious I was addicted to the Ham egg and cheese croissant! The overall ambiance of the place was very chill and relaxed! Service was quick and easy and the staff here is very polite! Can't wait to come back sometime.

This place is such a vibe! As soon as you walk in, you're surrounded by plants -- it makes the whole space feel super calming and cozy. The green aesthetic is gorgeous and really adds to the chill atmosphere. I tried the Danni Special and it was pretty good! They also do little coffee art on the drinks, which I thought was super cute. Just a really nice spot overall. I'd definitely come back!

First of all the store is super cool and very inviting. We walked in felt an amazing vibe the staff was so freaking courteous and welcoming. We joked with them and asked for recommendations and bam they gave great ones and they hit the spot. We got 2 matcha's iced and hot, everything bagel with cream cheese. They all were delicious and well made. Need a cool place in downtown Portland try this spot ! They also have banh mi sandwiches also !

We are spending our last day in Portland and walking around looking at this beautiful city! We wanted a great coffee spot with Portland flare, if that is what you are looking for this is the spot! We got a cold brew and a Vietnamese iced coffee and it was so smooth so good! The service was fast, friendly and efficient. The atmosphere here is a mini tropical, Oregonian oasis in the middle of the city.

The iced raspberry matcha was so good but their matcha cookies were out of this world. One of the best cookies I have ever tasted. I loved the atmosphere with the big windows and lots of plants. Great experience! Definitely recommend!

My cat's name is Java so I had to give this a try. Amazing coffee and non-caffeinated tea options. I got some blueberry dessert but can't remember the name - it was delicious. Brew of the coffee is smooth and has a nice finish. Would recommend. Friendly and quick and a ton of bakery items that all looked delicious honestly.

The space feels cozy, welcoming, and full of personality. I especially loved the little post-it wall where customers can leave behind anything they want a small detail that makes the café feel even more personal and community-driven. What I ordered: Soft Cream Matcha One of the creamiest matchas I've ever had! The soft cream was incredibly fluffy and smooth, while the matcha itself was bold enough to come through with every sip and also had a coconuty essence to it. It had just the right amount of sweetness without overpowering the matcha. If you love a rich, creamy matcha, this is definitely one to try. Es-Yen A classic Thai-style iced coffee made with condensed milk. This was strong, sweet, and definitely had that much-needed wake-me-up effect! The condensed milk gave it a creamy sweetness while still allowing the bold coffee flavor to shine through. It was the perfect balance of sweet and strong exactly what I needed. Buttered & Sweetened Condensed Milk Toast I originally had my eye on the pandan toast, but it's clearly a popular choice because it was already sold out earlier in the day! So I went with the buttered and sweetened condensed milk toast instead, and I'm so glad I did. The toast was crispy on the outside, buttery, warm, and finished with that sweet condensed milk flavor. Every bite practically melted in my mouth. The pandan toast is definitely on my list for next time! My Portland experience was made even better by my stop at Kaleido Coffee. The owners were so sweet and welcoming, taking the time to give me recommendations and making sure everyone was taken care of even during a busy rush. Until next time, Portland!

While I didn't stay, the shop was lovely and unique with its tables and floor seating. If in the neighborhood, this is a great spot to pause for a bit between the many shops around. This is nothing on the shop, but I always warn when places are in those older parts of town, ie no parking lot and very small congested side streets around. We stopped in here after playing a round at the Wonderwood Mini Golf. It had been hot and cramped and we really needed a drink. The door was being held open by a line of people and usually that is a great sign. Being busy is awesome for the business and I am glad they are so popular. It was a weekday, probably around 11 am and there were just so many people in line. It was really cute inside but SO chaotic. There were tons of kids screaming and at times it was difficult to tell where the line really was. After about 5 minutes of the line not moving, I started to get a slight headache from the noise and we agreed we would have to go somewhere else. It was probably for the best as all the indoor and outdoor seating was full so there would have been nowhere for us to eat even if we had braved the line. I think when a business reaches this level of popularity, it's important to put systems in place to keep patrons from feeling crowded and overwhelmed and it's definitely something they might want to look into in the future.
