Nachos steak this was filling. Worth it!

Always get my Mexican food fix after eating the food from here. Everything I try tastes good.

The food here is delicious! The portions are also quite amazing and the prices are very reasonable. We arrived when they opened so we were the only customers for a little bit and received exceptional service. The place is clean and nicely decorated and gives a warm feeling that makes you just want to stay in chat even after you have finished eating.

Drink, fresh chips, ono salsa and fresh guacamole!

Javis in Kaneohe this place was awesome! Went there by myself and was greeted at the door. Customer service was friendly, welcoming and hospitable. I ordered their fresh guacamole although they serve you salsa and chips it went well together! My main dish was their carne asada steak cooked to my liking, medium well and seasoned! Their to go was good they gave me fresh chips as mine was almost gone and my drink to go as well as my left overs. My carne asada was $23.62, fresh guacamole grande $10.90 and fountain drink $3.63 with refills. Total was $50.63 including tip. Must try!

It was a taco Tuesday, and they only had 2 people in the BOH, and 2 FOH employees when we got there. But the service was GREAT! The atmosphere was lively, and the restaurant clean. Their bar top was empty too. They had a massive party dining in, and a full house. But our food didn't take long at all! Prices are really good too! I ordered their Menudo, and it was SO FREAKING DELICIOUS!! My abuelita would be happy to eat it! We will 100% be back!

I've tried some different spots and I really enjoyed the ambiance of this one. Lots of seating a great quick service with a bar in the back, accessible bathrooms, and lots to choose on the menu. I ordered the shrimp and it was good. I also liked the beans and rice, nothing crazy. Our waitress was so kind and on top of things she really made the experience. Something to know is they don't normally split checks so be aware if you're in a group!

Came back as I was craving mexican. I saw taquitos on the menu and that sounded good, so I deduced to try it out. They were so crispy and had great flavor. I added some tapatio sauce on top of it and it was winners! Of course I ordered my usual beef chimichanga. It was delicious and massive as always. Take out was ready in 20min and the server was super friendly. Will come back next time the craving hits!

Good Mexican food is difficult to find on Oahu but Javis is solid! 4.5 stars We went on a Sunday afternoon and had low expectations given our experience with Mexican food in Hawaiʻi but we were pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros (bonus points for serving this all day and not just for breakfast!) my husband got the chimichanga and loved it, it was a very generous portion. My only complaint is the free chips were kind of stale and could use some salt, but also it's free so I appreciate that they are offered. If you like spicy ask for hot sauce because it's not spicy at all, at least what we ordered. Waitress was super sweet, food took about 10-15 minutes which is reasonable since it's made to order. Love the colorful ambiance and the seating area has so much more space than I expected. Plenty of parking in the outside lot. Will return when in Kaneohe.

Located at the old El Mariachi Mexican Restaurant in Kaneohe is Javis Mexican Grill on the way to Windward mall. I had the crispy taco plate I ordered 1 shredded and 1 ground beef taco with refried beans & rice. The taco came out nice and crispy and packed with beef, out of the 2 I preferred the shredded beef it had more flavor and texture. The refried beans and rice were okay. My wife had the mini quesadillas with our refried beans & rice and she enjoyed her meal. Parking in font of Restaurant and shared by other restaurants and shops and can get pretty limited parking spaces. Staff were friendly even though they were pretty busy. Ending our meal they left a charge card machine and didn't say anything, so after a while had to flag down the waitress and ask if they only do charges? She said oh let me check if they have cash and it took awhile before she came back and said we can take cash, she had enough to give us change. If you don't want to wait just charge it! Restroom are large and clean

100/10 -- the bestttt mexican food on the island. (argue with ya mama!). was out in kaneohe for a doctor's appointment and drove past, literally so happy we found them!! they used to be in wahiawa a couple years back and we religiously ate at javi's. when they closed unexpectedly, we were so so sad!! no idea they relocated!! at first, we thought it was just a coincidence, but that flavor was undeniable! recognized it immediately. service was great! despite having one server in the middle of the day catering to 5+ tables, our waitress was attentive and quick on her feet. food came out fast...we even ordered seconds LOL! really hope they stick around, they need to be on social media! so happy to have found javi's again. will make the drive out to kaneohe regularly.

Finally made it in after passing by so many times, and glad I did! The restaurant is spacious with nice decor, giving off a warm and inviting vibe. There were so many tempting options on the menu, but I went with the combo plate. Here's what we had: * Chips and salsa - Complimentary when dining in. We were starving and polished off 2-3 baskets before our food arrived! Fresh and addicting. * Carne a la Tampiqueña - Absolutely delicious. The meat was tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. * Combo plate (burrito + taco) - I chose a steak burrito and a carnitas taco. OMG, the carnitas were incredibly juicy and tender. The steak burrito was also packed with flavor. Overall, the food was fantastic, and the service was just as great. Definitely coming back whenever I'm on the Windward side!

By far one of the worst Mexican restaurants I've ever been to. Ceviche was horrible. Came out warm and I knew something was wrong with it and to be honest for them to even serve this and think it was okay blows my mind. I only took a few bites and still I had the worst stomachache I ever had before. The combo plate was okay and let's not even talk about the flan. The bottom was burnt and it was very airy unlike any I've ever had. All in all it was an alright experience paired okay service with a Mexican themed atmosphere inside. The best thing out of everything I ordered was probably the margarita but note that was still kinda bad but it tasted alright. I'd highly recommend to get the stronger margarita as the regular one tasted more like juice. I feel bad for leaving this review but I feel I have to let the people know because the reviews for here are very mix. Figure I'd update the people and let them know what to get and what to stay away from. If I could leave no stars I would only because of the sickness I received that lasted longer than a few days I want to say that I got from the ceviche.

Javi's Mexican Restaurant has officially made the move from Wahiawā to Kāneʻohe, and it is absolutely worth the drive. The food is everything I look for in authentic Mexican cuisine--fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and portions that leave you happily full. Every bite feels like being transported straight to the motherland. The new location has the same welcoming vibe, and the quality hasn't changed one bit save some room for dessert, if anything, it's even better. This is the kind of place you go out of your way for. Talk about hidden gem! In all the years I've been to Adela's, I bypassed Javi's, thinking it was just this tiny little takeout storefront. Maaaan was I so wrong. Walk in and veer to the right, you're transported to a hacienda. Dude, I felt like teleported south of the border. Horchata is served in a cute little pitcher. Fresh tortilla chips and pico de gallo. Husband and I shared a guacamole grande...it was chock full of avocado. Asada torta was tasty...only bummer was that it's served on a square ciabatta and not a bolillo...just as well, since we had two rounds of tortilla chips lol If you're craving comida Mexicana, this hits the spot!

The food: it was a fixed menu due to Valentine's Day, I guess I did not see that when I booked the reservations or it was listen on the open table app. I wish I had known because I wanted to try other dishes. Anyways.. we got to each choose an appetizer so we got the coconut shrimp which omgggg really good, that sauce was a perfect touch, the shrimp was nicely crispy. We also got the beef tataki which was another fav I must say. The main entrees was ok, I only say this because we got the lamb and fish. The lamb came with 4 pieces but 2 were cooked good and the other 2 seemed like it could have been cooked a little longer. The fish to me was also over done and a little touch and hard. The floral arrangements, the décor, the attention to detail... everything makes you feel like you're visiting an old friend. I feel like Odysseus finally making it home to Penelope. And then... THE FOOD. Omg. Everything is delicious. I've been here a few times now and they have never disappointed. I absolutely love the roast pork, but honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Here's my completely unbiased (very biased) ranking: Petiscos - Kind of like a charcuterie board for bad bitches (i.e. me). 5/5 Sardines - 5/5. I use the sauce for everything. Cod Balls - 5/5. I would rub these on my face if I could. Bolo de Bolacha - Like tiramisu, but with experience. One of my favorites. Branzino - This fish is so soft and flavorful, and the salad it comes with is incredible. It takes a little longer to prepare, so order it first! Pistachio Rum Cake - Also one of my favorites. I genuinely can't choose. It's buttery, delightful, and just the right amount of sinful. Pastéis de Nata - A classic for a reason. The best custard tarts you'll ever have. I could eat one every morning with a cup of tea. Medeiros ʻOhana Celebration Cake - Chocolate. Cherry. Goodness. That's all I have to say. Arroz Doce - Think crème brûlée meets rice pudding. AMAZING. I've had it both warm and cold, and honestly, both are incredible. If you're looking for a dessert to take with you and eat in the car on the way home (because somehow you'll still have room), this is the one. Basically... just go. Absolutely blown away…read more This place was recommended to my partner and I by multiple people so we put in the reservation. Upon arrival, we were asked for a password (which he could not find in his emails hot fortunately they gave us grace lol) then let in. The place was simply lit and each table had a literal gas lamp lighting the space. On the second floor there was a man playing the sax. It was SO gorgeous, Our waitress was great, we were easily influenced by all her suggestions and ended up getting a great meal. We started with drinks. My partner didn't hear her say that the bottom of the menu was "spirit forward" and ordered a VERY strong drink. It actually made for a very giggly and eventful dinner so it was a very happy mistake lol. I got the espresso martini. It was a little creamier than I expected but still tasted really good! I'd order again. Our first appetizer was the Wagyu carpaccio- topped with cilantro (the menu said dill but I saw/ tasted none), fried capers, and caviar. It was surprisingly light and refreshing, basically a meat salad. A beautiful start to our meal. Our second (yes, second) appetizer was the escargot and bone marrow. This was our personal star of the show. A complete 180 to the carpaccio. This was rich, heavy, and decadent. The tomato added a nice balance of acidity to counteract the fatty bone marrow. The escargot was cooked perfectly, no chew but soft and buttery. One of the best bites of my life. The salad it came with was just we needed with it. After this, there was quite a wait until our main entree. A fire dancer came, and danced on the bar counter. I'd say we waited a good 20 minutes until it came out. But we were only impatient because we had plans after dinner. Our main course, which we shared, was the King Arthur- beef Wellington with a side of crab legs. The crab did come out during our appetizers which I appreciated. I only ordered this because I never had beef Wellington before and really wanted to try it LOL, my partner said it was better than the one at hella kitchen! The waitress also talked us into ordering a side of Mac and cheese, and thank GOD she did. It came out piping hot and saucy. There was a slight note of truffle, but it wasn't overpowering, and a nice crust of cheese and breadcrumbs on top. Everything was delicious and generously portioned. You definitely get a bang for your buck. It's a hefty buck but it's so worth it.

We got a pepperoni pizza, vanilla dole whip, and I ordered a maitai. Pizza was good. Dole whip was good, and Maitai was good. Everything was good! I loved that we got to make our way here to take advantage of my yelp elite perk because if wasn't for this yelp event, on any other normal day, we would just pass this place, not even knowing what this place has to offer! One thing about this place is that it's hotttt, if u go in the day. And for me, alcohol and hotness does not go together lol Since they open till 9, I would think it's probably cooler when sun is down. Love pet friendly places. We got to bring our jellybean with us. Cool spot to chill, have a few. Shout out to Eric for taking care of us. Awesome customer service. Only had him working all morning. Go check this place out. Don't forget to tip :)

The ordering counter and cashier is right as you enter along with thr pastry counter. Same deals with thr kapolei location you order and find your own table and put number so they can find you when your order is up. Inside is airconditioned with around maybe 10 tables and chairs some seat 2 others eat 4 and they also have outside patio seating back and front. The parking can be challenging having maybe 10 -12 spots in their lot and some street parking . Their Menu is a bit more limited than their other location. Sandwiches.. pizza and other stuff oh and coffee. The only thing that wasmt as good as their kapolei location was they didnt have the thin crispy salty cravable fries they only had small bags of chips available The food is always good and the service was real good. The staff gave you an impression where they really valued their customers with greetings with a smile and happy goodbyes. As always a great experience with a great casual setting..fair pricing (nothing is considered "cheap" nowdays) ..good food and friendly staff.

Water is self-serve, and the setup feels more like a cafeteria than a traditional sit-down restaurant. That said, the staff has always been friendly and welcoming, which makes for a pleasant experience. I usually order the chicken pesto sandwich, which is always a great choice, but today I decided to branch out and try the Beach Burger and the Margherita Pizza. Both were absolutely delicious and definitely worth ordering again. The atmosphere is one of my favorite parts. It has a relaxed, coastal vibe that makes you feel like you're dining at a beachfront café, even if you're not right on the sand. Overall, it's a great spot for good food, a laid-back environment, and friendly service. I'll definitely keep coming back.
