Day old breads available at a special rate
    Tiffany B.

I stopped in to grab a sandwich to-go. The space is cozy with a couple of tables inside for dining in and a couple outside. You can order at the register or they have a tablet ordering system that's credit card only. I ordered at the register and got their turkey pesto melt on sourdough bread. It comes hot and with cheese. The sandwich was amazing! There was so much flavor packed into it - the pesto was amazing. It was also a great size. I can wait to go back and try some of their other items. They seem to also sell an array of beverages, tons of bread of course, and they have a section of day old bread at a discounted rate. Definitely a must try!

I've been waiting to try the Coronation chicken sandwich and it didn't disappoint! Very light curry which is nice. On African sweet bread - beautiful!

I have found a new breakfast and lunch stop near work along with a fabulous bakery in Jax Bread. There is seating inside and outside. Quaint little space inside. Great bagels. Probably the best I've had in the area. Very solid coffee as well. My sandwich was fantastic. The staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable as well. They made great recommendations for us. Service was great. This is a place I'll be frequenting and suggesting to anyone in the area. Can't wait to go back.

Cozy little bakery with amazing options. The cinnamon stuffed bagel was out of this world good. Nice coffee options which were tasty. I need come back and try the stuffed pizza bagel and the sourdough pizza. You made a new fan today

Bacon egg and cheese on a croissant.

We found this gem on a recent trip and so glad we did. It's tucked in a little strip mall and they were so friendly and cheerful. I had an everything bagel with cream cheese and my lady had a bacon, egg and cheese croissant. Both were fantastic. My lady said it was flat out her favorite of all time! Will definitely be back!

Stopped in after an oil change because it was nearby. This is in a small strip so there's enough parking. They have a kiosk for ordering or you can order with a real person at the counter. Very friendly service. I opted for a toasted onion bagel with jalapeno cheddar schmear. It was a great combo! The bagel was delightfully chewy and had great flavor. Would definitely return.

Egg & Cheese on Salt Bagel
    Kylie A.

Jax Bread Co. makes a seriously good bagel! I had the egg and cheese on a salt bagel, and it was phenomenal--perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The only reason for 4 stars is the service; it took nearly 30 minutes to get my order, and the staff seemed a little meh and not super attentive. That said, the food itself definitely made up for it, and I'd still come back for those bagels!

Fantastic service with options for kiosk or online ordering. This small shop has tables inside and outside for dining. Since it was our first time here, we opted to order at the counter. Loved both my mocha latte and veggie pesto sandwich. The toasted sourdough bread was delicious. My husband enjoyed his build your own breakfast sandwich as well. Looking forward to returning to try the many bread and bagel options.

First time stopping into Jax Bread Co on Baymeadows, and I'm so glad I did! I ordered a few things to try: * Raspberry Iced Tea ($4.99) - 9/10 Super refreshing! A little on the sweeter side but not too much. Would absolutely order again. * Pepperoni Stuffed Bagel ($6.99) - 9/10 Loved this one! Perfect flavor combo -- just wish it had a little more filling to push it to a 10/10. * Pumpkin Stuffed Bagel ($6.99) - 7.5/10 The crumble on top was deliciously sweet (and very messy ), while the pumpkin filling itself wasn't overly sweet -- nice balance overall. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and the staff was friendly. Overall: Would definitely order from here again! I ordered as take out, but the little space inside was nice and bright.

This was the best bagel I've had in Jax! Very affordable too, $5 for a toasted jalapeno cheddar bagel with chive cream cheese. The service was fast and they were very sweet. They had great deals on day old bagels, 3 for 2.99 and even day old bread that the lady said would be good for 2 more days out and as long as you'd like in the freezer. I will definitely be going back! It was a cute little shop, I can't wait to try their other breads

One of my favorite spots for a delicious breakfast sandwich is Jax Bread Co. The sandwich featured below is the Sausage, Egg, and Cheese on an Asiago Bagel. You can customize it by adding other proteins, cheeses, and veggies. Additionally, you have the option to have the sandwich on other in-house baked breads. I've had this sandwich a few times and it's always on point. What I love about it is the eggs. So fluffy and perfectly cooked!! You must also try the Brie Stuffed French Toast.

Wow! What a delicious homemade bagel! You could just taste how fresh it was! I loved the crunch on the outside and the warm soft inside! Perfect little snack! I defined want to go back and try more! Staff were very friendly and super fast! Restaurant is small but quaint and cute!

The food at Jax Bread is definitely a go for me and they have some of the freshest breads. Their sweet African bread is my favorite on the turkey pesto melt. Quality service and love the made from scratch baked goods!

It might be even better if they added a few raisins to it. We'll be back for this item periodically. We also tried a mango float ($6). It was good, and had more whipped cream in it than the one I'm used to, but I've probably had slightly better examples. For $6, it's not a great value: smaller than the cinnamon roll and not as good. I might get it again, but probably not at that price. This remains one of my favorite bakeries in town, and we'll be back periodically. Update: We tried another cinnamon roll. This time we thought it was fantastic, the best thing I've eaten in a long time. 25 seconds microwaved again. We'll have to get one periodically.

The next morning, we had the sausage and scallion bun at home. I liked it, maybe more than the pork bun, and would get it again, though it had the advantage of being reheated at home in the microwave. My wife liked the dough, the hot dog less so (and I must admit the hot dog in the croissant we had a while ago at Cruffin & Tea was better). I'd get this again, though probably trying the regular hot dog bun instead of the scallion one next time. I'd asked the server if she could reheat our items when I bought them, but she said no, and didn't seem to understand English well. So far, I've preferred the savory things to the sweets here. Each item was $3-3.25, so a better value than the other bakeries I go to. I will return to this place periodically, but I still prefer places like Cruffin & Tea and Le Petit Paris, so I'm giving Mai Xiang Garden Bakery an average rating, 3 stars: pretty good, but not above average for a bakery, other than the good value.
