Monthly lunch date, this time they had a live zydeco band and a brunch menu to choose from with great food options. It was extremely crowded this day so we choose a large table near the entrance it was super loud so it wasn't a pleasant experience as usual. See you next month

We were looking for a place to enjoy some Zydeco music and was told about this place. Arrive early..Parking is treacherous, it gets crowded very fast. We had to sit in the back no big deal however squeezing your way through the bar is another story. It is a kid/family atmosphere and although I enjoy family time this would not be my first selection to bring children although there were plenty there. We did try the wings which were pretty good overall if you enjoy Zydeco and dont mind partying with childre. I would recommend

Tried something new while in Houston. Was quite disappointed. The chicken and beef were flavorful, but dry. The rice and charro beans were bland. The Sunkist soda a was refreshing. I liked the retro arcade games here. Plenty of TVs to watch events. The staff were friendly. Plenty of Texas decor to go around! If I return, I'll have to try something else on the menu.

Location: N shepherd Parking: plenty, also street parking Staff: nice and helpful Seating: I went for an Airbnb event and it was very well organized on the outside. Plenty of seating Drink: ice tea was well sugar Food: salad and wings , well seasoned and cooked Event felt private, having coverage but also plenty of opening to enjoy the fresh air. Food was well seasoned and cooked.

Love this location! It's definitely a chill and laid back place. Order at the counter and come get your food when the buzzer goes off. Food is good! I order queso and chips- yummy! Menu said blanco but it looked more yellow to me ?? I also ordered the stuffed potato with steak fajita. I forgot to take a pic because I was so hungry, but it had a mound of meat on top!! Tender potato, definitely a good value!

Country fried chicken. It was moist could use a bit more flavor.

Great place with great vibes. I would say it's a great place to take a date or go with a group of adult friends. It may be too noisy for kids but if your kids do well with noise then all good. But the noise could just be at night, not sure about daytime. Food wasn't that bad but wasn't the greatest. It was comfort food. It gave that home cooked meal type feels or atleast what I had did. Maybe I'll try something different next time. I had the chicken fried chicken with fries. You order at the counter and they call your number to pick up. So no waiters or waitresses but there are workers who walk by to get dirty plates etc.

Salmon, steamed veggies and rice. All for $17.95. Great value and taste.

The salmon and 2 sides for 17.95 and tasty!! Lots of fried food, but value and taste is why we come there.

I've lived in Houston now for many years and finally got the chance to visit to try their poboy, ironically for 713 Day (H-town represent!) A poboy is near and dear to me, the poor man's sandwich that continues to comfort and satisfy, time and time again. Shrimp is my favorite and this one gave me some major NOLA nostalgia. The bread was crispy on the outside, with a soft inside, it was stuffed with fried shrimp, and came fully dressed (IYKYK, don't skip on the pickles.) I will say that their fries were not my favorite, more of a shoestring style, while I prefer a thicker fry but came with a generous portion. During 713 Day they had a special for this sandwich for $7.13. While I only came for the sandwich, I did see that they have a number of other specials such as $5 frozen cocktails for the whole month of July, and happy hour Monday - Friday 3-6pm. Finally, it's worth mentioning that the service was top notch. I actually stopped by by myself and the server stopped by several times to check on me and even brought me some complementary chips and dip while I waited for my meal. Time to Appetizers: 20 Minutes Time to Crawfish: 25 Minutes It's a solid branch from the main location in Bellaire, but they're missing some things. For example, the Bellaire location has the new Viet-Cajun flavor of sauce that hasn't debuted here yet (though you can DIY a mix). (Review is for July 2026 if they've updated since then) We got here at 6:05PM and got seated with no issues. Ordered the following: Combo #1 with extra corn and potatoes (3.5/5): Crawfish isn't in season, so don't be surprised at my low rating. It's still great and flavorful all around. Garlic Noodles with Shrimp (4/5): Still incredibly rich and buttery and garlicy and great for a palate cleanser. I'd skip the shrimp; you get eight pieces for $10 extra and that's not really worth it. Crawfish Beignets (4.5/5): Still a fantastic appetizer. Comes out hot, crispy, buttery, and is a really indulgence. 1 lb. Little Neck Clams (4.5/5): I liked these more than the crawfish tbh. It really does depend on what's in season. Very easy to eat, very flavorful. Service was generally good but our server seemed slammed; it took a long time to get water refills and to place extra orders (we got a second order of beignets to-go). Market price for crawfish is high and they're not in season, so don't be afraid to ask. The Combo #1 in July 2026 was $22. Overall, I'll probably be back during crawfish season especially because it's more convenient for me than the Bellaire location, but the Bellaire location has it beat for general atmosphere after the remodeling and much better options for mixes there.

The Pasta Rosa dish had sliced Parmesan strips on top of penne with shrimp, crawfish and sausage for the protein with mushrooms and a tomato cream sauce. This meal initially tricked me. My first impression was that while there was plenty of protein the taste of the tomato cream sauce was lacking some flavor. I expected more. However as I kept eating and getting beyond the top layer of the food the flavor increased significantly. I think that the proteins caused the sauce in the lower half of the dish to create more punch. This dish got better and better and I changed my mind.
