I had problems with a leaking toilet off an on for the past 2 1/2 years. I had it fixed twice, but both times it only lasted about 1 to 1 1/2 years. I went straight to yelp and found Jay Indeck Plumbing seemed to be the way to go. It took about 5 days to get an appointment as they were very busy, but it was worth the wait. The problem was explained to me and the leak was fixed, but they actually diagnosed the actual cause of the continued problem. Hopefully, this will take care of it. My bathroom shower had a leak and I was collecting buckets of water from the drips. Needless to say, I needed to get this problem fixed sooner rather than later! I called three plumbers yesterday, and only one had the courtesy to return my call: Jay. He was very courteous over the phone and was able to schedule a time to check out my issue early today. As promised, he sent me a text to let me know that he was on his way and was very prompt and professional when he arrived. Wow! Where to begin. I rent a condo in the area and had issues for several weeks with toilets backing up as well as a flusher part issue. Such a pain when its all toilets in the place with issues. Called Jay on a weekday and he called back within a reasonable time. I had the kind of issue that is hard to diagnose and where Jay could have easily recommended several hundred dollars worth of tests just to diagnose (which another plumber did). Instead of coming out for even a service charge, Jay spoke to me by phone for nearly half an hour, patiently answering all of my questions and explaining several plumbing concepts like a professor. He diagnosed my problem over the phone and told me based on the location and what I described, it had to be a certain specific issue. He then recommended Do-It-Yourself remedies to fix it. I have contacted Jay twice-first for a quote to run a new gas line to our stove while doing a kitchen remodel (previously had Electric) and a second time to come check out why my pressure and heat were not functioning properly. Turns out my pressure regulator outside had gone bad. Just has a visit from Jay Indeck Plumbing. We had a water heater installed with another company, but which resulted in uneven hot water throughout my house. I sent Jay a message via Yelp, and he responded almost immediately. He was very helpful in diagnosing what was causing the problem by having a dialogue with me over Yelp's message system. So, he sent over his techs, Tony and Angel. They were awesome! They walked through the whole house with me and made sure the water heater had been installed properly by the other company. Once this was done, they concluded that it was probably a faulty shower cartridge causing cold water to cross over into the hot water lines. I'll never have a sick feeling in my stomach again when I know I have to call a plumber. Jay Indeck was the 3rd guy I called (and luckily the the last one needed) to come out and fix an issue in the kitchen. He also fixed a problem I was having upstairs while he was at it, and even ran over to a local job of his to grab some specific parts and tools and come back, rather than re-schedule me for finishing another time. He didn't even expect payment on the spot! What?? His bill was mailed to me and it was less than I expected and VERY reasonable. To top it off, this nice man said just mail in payment in 30 days. Jay Indeck's customer service is great. I called Jay and left a voicemail, he called me back and quoted me over the phone. Of the 4 plumbers I called he is the only one who didn't try to up sell me. My job wasn't an emergency but I told Jay I was on a tight deadline because I have tenants moving in on Saturday, he sent someone over within an hour and a half and the job was done quickly. When I answered the door Tony made sure he was at the right house and handed me his business card as a courtesy to identify himself as the person I was expecting. Absolutely happy with Jay Indeck plumbing! I initially contacted him on Yelp and he was prompt with responses. We set up the appointment via Yelp messaging/texting. I had them come out and check out, what I was hoping, a simple drain clog. Of course, Murphy's Law strikes again, and the sink also needed a new P trap and drain pipe. I wasn't surprised considering how old everything was. Very friendly, and thorough. They even replaced the pop up stopper, which had been missing since I moved into this place. It's so nice to have a sink with a built in stopper again! The initial quote just for a drain clog was very reasonable and knew I'd be paying more for the extra parts and labor, but even THAT came out incredibly reasonable as well. He called back right away and said he would have someone out in a couple of hours. Sure enough I got a call about 20 minutes prior to the arrival of Tony and Nathan. They were very professional, friendly and kept me informed of everything they were doing. They figured out the problem and fixed it quickly. Tony arrived on time and was very professional, he even put on protective booties on his boots to protect the carpet. We replace the shower valve in no time and stayed and checked to make sure there were no issues. We had Jay Indeck Plumbing (Tony) come out a few weeks ago to fix a leak in our kitchen drain. We have a remodel of our home going on concurrently, and this morning I discovered that our kitchen drain was leaking again. Tony came back, saw that the plumbing underneath the sink had been knocked askew, and ascertained that with all the activity of putting flooring in (and putting the trash can under the sink in and out), one of the crew had most likely caused the problem. No one's fault, really, but it would probably be a pricey fix. Instead, Tony called his boss, and they decided to make a courtesy fix, which is really appreciated with all of the expenses of remodeling and not really wanting to go after the contractors to pay for the repair.
