Went with my co-workers. The horses all have fun personalities and handle differently. I had a black stallion named "Cole". He was very stubborn, but he made for a fun ride. The trails are very pretty and they leave plenty of room for you to maneuver your horse as you like (as long as you follow the guide). I was just a little disappointed they wont let you run your horse. I'm pretty experienced (i don't own a horse but i've ridden them more times than i can count) but i guess they have their reasons. Worst spot to go for zip line. Waited for 4 hrs and there were still saying that it was going to be another 1hr to 2 hr wait. They have no system in place, all they worry about is selling tickets. Avoid this place with all costs. I ended up getting a refund at the end. The ticket reps should communicate better with the operations side so that way they could give a good wait time. Example ticket rep said 2hr wait after waiting for 2hrs I checked in with the operation side again and they said another 2 hrs or so. That turned into a 4hr wait. Hmmmm no communication read more

Wish we had read reviews on this place prior to going. Got there at 10:30 am. Waited in one line (though we had completed the waiver online) for over an hour for someone to write our names on a piece of paper (an extremely rude teenager....that was exceptionally unpleasant.) Then sent to another line where we waited FOUR hours to pay. No social distancing was enforced. After paying, we then had ANOTHER TWO HOUR wait to get on the horses. They said that groups leave every 15-20 minutes....that may be true if they had a little bit of organization or moved with a little sense of purpose. Our group had to separate into two (large group) which is fine, but the first group left nearly an hour before we finally did. The ride itself was fine, kids enjoyed it. However....it was ABSOLUTELY not worth waiting 7 hours and wasting an entire day of your vacation. TIP TO THE OWNERS: We are in the digital age. Update your system to allow people to not only fill out the waiver online, but to also pay online, and select a timeframe to come. You will have far fewer disappointed customers. Your process is a complete failure the way you currently have it. And get some barn cats...you have an insane amount of RATS running through your barn. read more

Well I hate to give negative reviews but need to be honest about our visit today. We wanted to go horseback riding before heading to Nashville so we called to see what the wait time would be since we were trying to squeeze in more activities before we left. 30 minutes is what they said. So we arrive, paid our fees and proceeded to wait, and wait, and wait. We were told the wait would be 30 minutes, but 45 minutes later we were told just another 45 more minutes to go. This happened for 3+ hours. Yup you heard me right, over 3 hours. Now I can appreciate a busy schedule but please do not lie when you know the wait is long. Most people can plan for that, but we had other activities planned for the day which we couldn't do anymore. The staff then started making fun of people who asked how long the wait would be. Not very customer friendly at all! We waited so long that we felt we had to go through the ride. The ride itself was fun. The horses were a bit ornery and you needed to control them as they were nipping each other. My daughters horse got bit 3 times. Another child in the group fell off her horse when the horse behind her started biting. The guide controlled the situation. Despite that we had a Great time riding but definitely not worth a 3.5 hour wait. Honestly is key and they definitely lacked it. My kids 7 & 12 enjoyed it. There were 9 in our group. read more

The website says a 12 mile guided off road UTV tour, and we only went about 6 miles. We were only on the tour for 45 minutes from start to finish so it was a waste of money, and it was not cheap. Our tour guide texted and smoked cigarettes the entire tour so we had to stop frequently for him. We tried to go fast and hit the water/mud to splash it up and we were told not to do that so the machines wouldnt be damaged. We also tried to hit a bump in the path and another puddle and the guide told us not to do that and to stay on the path. We barely went fast and went around the same track three times. Stopped as a group to take pictures and the guide told us not to park in the mud. Waste of money, time, and the guide was not friendly or inviting. We went to go fast, get muddy, and have a good time, and we were disappointed. Definitely would not recommend this place to anyone. Very disorganized read more

My family was visiting from Florida for Christmas and we asked a local in the area a fun place to check out. They recommended if we like outdoor activities, to try Jayell Ranch. I went with my Aunt and Sister n Law and we had a BLAST!!!! First, the staff was very nice and friendly and greeted us and made us feel very welcomed. We did the ATV ride and Ziplining and it was so much fun! Pops was our guide for the ATV ride and he was such a blast and funny guy. He kept our whole group laughing and entertained and showed us all kind of cool landscapes and gave us fun facts about the area. Adam and Chapo aka "Nick" were our guides for the ziplining. They were so much fun and made EVERYONE feel safe. There ziplining course was too notch and was a rush to be zipping at 30-50miles n hour! I recommend anyone visiting the Pigeon Forge area to go check them out! You will not be disappointed! read more

This place was great and we are so happy we came here. The whole staff was friendly,nice, and everyone made us laugh . We were a party of 7 and we did zip lining, ATV rides, and horseback riding. Our tour guide for the zip lines was snake and troop.The zip lines were so fun and thrilling. The ATV rides was really the best and the most interesting. We went a day that rain fall happened and it was muddy and dirty, just how we wanted it. Our tour guide was called Coffee and he really made the ATV rides amazing. If you decide to do the ATV tour and you want to have the best time , you MUST ask for Coffee.The horseback riding was relaxing and had beautiful views. read more

I highly recommend a day at Jayell Ranch! It was our 10 year old daughters first time on a horse but our guide Jordan was great and made everyone feel comfortable. It was also our first time zip lining and my daughter and I are neither one fans of heights. Too tall and bright eyes (no these are not ponies lol) took us through half of the course. Stars are for the guide who somehow contained her horse beautifully, since it was far from broken in - I give her a lot of credit for her young age! Horses were really fine - decent ride, but not interesting - completely muddy, but no fault of theirs. No trotting at all - nothing, so don't think they'll allow it on a regular trail ride. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I had left 2 messages and emailed and no one responded. Price-wise it was a good deal, and if you go, go early. We called to make reservations and were told that they didn't take them, but groups go out every 15 minutes. That is what happened for our horse back riding, which worked out well. Jordan was our guide and he was very friendly, especially with our kids. After the ride we also did the zip lines. This is where we waited for close to an hour before we got out. There were no groups going every 15 minutes, that is for sure. Once we did get out, Jose and "El Chapo" were a lot of fun. The course was good to. We got to the 3rd line and was told that this was it for us, because we had the yellow wrist band, even though we paid for 6 lines. I had to show them what we paid for in order to keep going. They didn't believe me and the other group we were with showed their receipt too. The trip ended up being worth it. When we returned to leave both the horseback riding and the zip lines had a lot of people waiting. The groups for the horses may go out every 15 minutes, but if there are 40 people ahead of you, you will wait an hour. read more

The most honest reviews are listed under "not recommended ". My husband and I did the ATV trip and it was so frustrating. We didn't go 90 seconds without stopping. The atvs kept breaking down and apparently that happens a lot because the woods were littered with atvs. When someone broke down the guide would just get one out of the woods and before long it wouldn't run. We never went over 6 mph and most of the time it was 3 mph. If I'd had better shoes I would have walked out. It would have been faster. Then the guide expected a tip. Really? read more

What a nice bunch of people that work there. The horses seem like they are well taken care of. We did the package where you go for a horse ride and then zip lining. The horse ride was pretty long and exceeded my expectations, definitely worth the money. Save your time and your money! We went here for an ATV trailride, which was the equivalent of driving a golf cart around a golf course. Might not have been bad if the views were good, however they weren't. We managed to be with a group that couldn't figure out how to use an ATV, so we spent more time going about 1-5 mile an hour and sucking in exhaust fumes and then waited about 10 minutes for horseback riders to go through since the paths cross. Spend the extra money to go to someplace that specializes in ATV rides. read more

Went here during a family vacation in the Gatlinburg area. Even though we got there early the lines were long and very disorganized. Once we got in we went around and put our name on the wait list for the multiple activities that we chose. Our first adventure was and ATV tour. We got 2 4 seat UTVs and 2 single rider ATVS for the 2 teens in our group. Both of which had some experience. Thank goodness since our guide was not the best at giving instructions. We signed a waiver saying we would pay for any damages caused by recklessness on the riders part. Our 15 year old with little experience riding got stuck and pushed the ATV a little to get unstuck and ended up sitting against a tree in the front no visible damage to the ATV and the guide did not ask the rider if he was ok the first words out of his mouth were "who's paying?" When we got back to turn in the equipment thankfully the management was more level headed and said they didn't see any damage and there wouldn't be any charge. Still no question about the riders well being. The rest of the day was fun with all of the participants enjoying the zip lines and mountain tubing. read more

My husband and two kids (ages 8 and 11) rode horses. We do not have experience riding. Being the weekend after Thanksgiving it was quite busy. We ended up paying Friday afternoon but going back Saturday morning and there was no wait! Our guide, Matthew, was great! My son, 8, was the first in line and he has no experience with horses. He loved it! Matthew even showed him how to make his horse, Comanche, trot a little faster. My husband and I would have loved to do the zip lining but the kids didn't want to. Took a group of kids out for, what we expected to be a nice trail ride. We ended up waiting over an hour and a half to get out horses. After getting on our horses, many horses ran off the path with 5 year olds on them. The kids were terrified and so were the parents. We would never return to this place. This same experience happened to the group ahead of us as well. The only reason for the two stars is because the staff was very apologetic and did refund our money. read more

My husband and I arrived to the ranch about 4 minutes late, the ladies were so kind and let us in, even though they had closed. Everyone was so helpful and made sure you understood riding basics.
