You know when they say old Chinese restaurants slaps, this place does! I live very close by this location and I am beyond glad I do because their food and service is quick and amazing. I was ordering from DoorDash but the lady at the resturant told me to just call because DoorDash will charge a service fee -_- and they will not. Anywho, my go to meal is the Shrimp Foo Young, I love the curry gravy and how nont greasy the Foo Young is. There were many places in my past that would serve up a nice dish of oil with their Foo Youngs and thin gravy but I appericate the fact the dish is not heavy and the gravy does have flavor to it. Those saying that the egg drop soup is tasteless, you know you're suppose to add a bit of soy sauce for flavor. In my opinion, my soup was hot, fresh, and good. Simply put, the worst Chinese I've ever had. Ordered almond boneless chicken combo with egg drop soup and crab Rangoon. No seasoning on the chicken at all, some generic thick brown gravy with a taste I couldn't identify and the soup was completely tasteless. Crab Rangoon was ok but just average. Came here with my two toddler nieces. Ordered crab rangoon, chicken fried rice small, and ordered house special seafood noodle. Always come here for the crab rangoon because they are delicious with a sweet sauce. Obviously, crab rangoons are not pictures because they were devoured before we could take a picture. Just a so so take out place. I had the sweet and sour chicken with shrimp fried rice and potstickers. The fried rice was average, although I've never had it with corn and green beans. Didn't have enough body, the sticky white rice had a better consistency. Thick breading on the chicken and no green peppers, onions or pineapple in the sauce. Just some red sauce. The pot stickers were ok. It was quite expensive for what I bought and they tack on an administrative fee? I'm going to try a different place next time. read more

I spend most of my life traveling through the country and I've eaten at many Chinese joints along the way, I stopped mid meal to write this review. The food is that good. The Eggs Drop soup was thick, and deep in flavor. The egg rolls were light, and crispy. I ordered the General Tso's dinner. Big chunks of real dark meat chicken, perfectly fried with the best chili, garlicky sticky sauce ever. The fried rice had a ton of chicken, veggies and a delicious char flavor from the wok. And the píncele of the meal, their home made fried dumplings. Super stuffed with pork,scallion and spices, perfect wrapper holding in all of the meaty juices. Sure, I've heard the songs before but, sometimes, listening to the oldies is what I want. I had gotten a menu for Ding Ho when I first moved to the area years ago but did not get around to trying them until recently. The new menu I picked up hadn't changed from my original. Don't waste your time! I was tired after shopping all day and husband said he wanted Chinese so I found the one closest to the Meijer I was at. I pulled up, there were no cars in the parking lot(red flag #1). Red flag #2 was there were no customers inside. Red flag #3 was the lady working the register had a nasty demeanor(rushing me, interrupting me, throwing my receipt at me when I had my hand out, waving her hand at me as if to shoo me once she handed me my food). I am guilty of getting the same items plus additional other items. The seafood combo is still as awesome as before with the white sauce. Recently, added the Mei Fun that is like Lo Mein but with rice thin noodles. It is also one I will get again. Just didn't want to stop eating it as the taste buds was just tickled with joy. I think it is time to try other items now. I am glad to have an ace in the whole with one of my favorites meals. read more

On the fifth time ordering from them, I figured it would be quicker to pick it up from the restaurant, but it still took 1 hour+ ... it is good and authentic food; however, the wait time is absolutely absurd. The last time we went here it took 2 hours to deliver our food. I called and spoke to a young kid (assuming it's the owners child) and was unable to get straight answers. We went here for carryout a few days after Christmas. Nice little place tucked away in a strip mall not facing the street. Easy to miss. I ordered crab rangoons and szechuan chicken, my accompanying party ordered almond chicken, egg rolls, won ton soup and lo mein noodles. Pretty good for the money. I enjoyed it very much. I don't know why this place has so many good reviews, this was probably the worst Chinese food I've ever had. I always get almond boneless chicken so I know when it's right or when it's wrong and theirs was really wrong. The gravy was unlike any I've had before, it tasted like they added a lot of chicken bouillon making it very strong tasting and unlike any I've had before. I split chicken with mushrooms with my friend, it was bland but still the best thing I tried. We also split the Kung Po chicken, it was also bland and I'm not 100% sure it was actually chicken. The peanuts weren't cooked thoroughly and they were super salty, they tasted like Planters roasted salted peanuts. Also too many onions. The fried crab Rangoon had decent flavor but the were wide and flat with little filling. Since they were so big it was mostly overcooked and inedible ends. Another fail. I judge a place by their almond chicken and egg rolls so I doubted the egg rolls would be any good based on the rest of my experiences. I was right, even before I took a bite the rancid kimchi smell hit my nose. WTF I thought but took a bite anyway. It was like biting into undercooked rotten hot coleslaw. I regret eating even one bite and I regret spending $30 on dinner. I'm just glad it's trash night so I can get this garbage out of my house. read more

No organization, they had to keep coming out to ask everyone what they ordered. Not impressed. Service wise, I asked for fried rice with my Hot and Spicy Chicken and ended up with no rice after explaining a few times what I wanted. Egg drop soup had very little taste and was among the worst I've ever had. Hot and spicy chicken was average at best. Chicken was soggy/raw and there wasn't much taste. Mushroom chicken was decent but the mushrooms had a deep fried oily taste and we're not fresh what so ever. Middle of nowhere gem. In a plaza and kinda hidden, great lunch specials. Lunch is around $6.00 and the portions are alot and plentiful. The Almond chicken is plentiful and sweet and sour pork is another good dish. Another great dish is Chicken Brocoli and Garlic Chicken. Nice little Chinese restaurant. Not only the usual food selections, they also have quite a few soups. Had the Seafood Noodle soup and it was very good and very plentiful. Included shrimp, swordfish, squid, vegetables, and noodles in chicken broth. Also, there are about four other choices in the large soup bowl category. I've discovered this place a while ago, but because of the many restaurants in the area, it wasn't until last month that I've decided to give it a try. It's family owned, therefore it's a husband and wife who runs it, and since it's the summer, they have their little girl there. Anyway, the food was excellent. If you get a meal, they will serve you your drink and soup before the rest just so you can have something while you wait. Also, they're very courteous and respectful. The restaurant is very quiet and for a while, I was the only patron, but I didn't mind it because it gave me time to enjoy my food in peace. It's a place I'd go to for lunch, more so than dinner. But they have excellent choices and the food itself is so clean and organized, if that sounds right. I had the Sweet & Sour Shrimp combo and I absolutely loved it. They did overpack my plate like most Chinese restaurants, and their prices were very reasonable. I'll definitely visit this establishment again in the near future. read more

We were very fortunate to locate Jay's on Thanksgiving day, because no others in the area were open. We ordered Wonton soup, Vegetable chop suey and Chicken chop suey, and have since tried the egg rolls and vegetable soup. Having tried several other Chinese restaurants in the area, we were very pleased with the flavor, quality and choice of ingredients. the soups had very tasty broth, and the chop suey also had an unusually good sauce.
