Stopped by Jazba with a friend after a comedy show nearby and grabbed seats at the bar. We both opted for zero-proof cocktails and ordered the "Imli" ($14), made with cranberry juice, tamarind-coriander syrup, lime, and soda. I really enjoy tamarind, and this was especially well-balanced and not overly sweet, with a nice flavor. We arrived within about an hour of closing, so it was less crowded easy for conversation. The food coming out of the kitchen smelled good. Service was warm and friendly throughout. Overall, a nice East Village option if you are looking for a more low-key spot for drinks and conversation.

We got Garlic Naan, Daal Tadka, Jaituni Salmon Fish Tikka, konkani shrimp, Tandoori roti Delhi ki Tikki Chat. My faves were the salmon (spiced very well, tender with refreshing garnish) and Daal! I wish it as a bit thicker and bigger portion for the price. It came to around $120 total and included a free ride hail ride through bilt which was interesting! Good service and very lively.

I really wanted to love Jazba, but the food fell short for me. I recently came for restaurant week and was excited to try it after seeing a YouTube vlog. The hospitality and service here are wonderful! The appetizer portion was probably my favorite out of all 3 courses. I got the paneer which was flavorful and accompanied by some lovely chutneys. I enjoyed this very much! For my entree I ordered the saag, which was overly bitter. I could not finish the dish unfortunately. I hate to say this but the frozen saag at Trader Joes was way better than my entree. For dessert I had the mango and pistachio sorbet, which was just okay. I had high expectations for the food at Jazba. Perhaps it was just what I ordered, but would be open to trying their other dishes.

There was a super chill bartender that gave me water before I even ordered, which was a nice touch. The cocktails are all really creative and unique to this spot, with bases like Himalayan gin and Indian vodka. The presentation is super aesthetic, and some drink comes with a little edible bite to go with it. Prices are really reasonable for how unique everything is, and the Indian food menu pairs perfectly with the drinks. Definitely a great place for dinner or happy hour. You can even pay by QR code at the bar, so if you're in a rush you don't have to wait around for the bartender.

Another great experience at Jazba! The menu has changed but the flavor has not. 10/10 food every time and amazing service always. Just don't forget your reservation- they get busy here!

I went here for Restaurant Week, and the service was fantastic. On a weekday night, there wasn't as much of a crowd, but there should be. The staff was attentive. The Murg Makhani was juicy, flavorful, and tender, kicking off the meal to a great start. The Kasundi Murg Tikka also had very tender meat. The Butter Naan paired well with this dish's sauce. The Shahi Tukra wasn't overly sweet. The flavor seeped into the bread, but it wasn't soaking wet.

The aroma of the garlic naan was tantalizing. I almost reeled over with delight. Here I was lunching at Jazba for a Restaurant Week lunch on a Sunday at $30. I had pored over the menu ahead of the day musing on what to eat. Jaituni Fish Tikka which was cooked in a tandoor. Two tikkas came and despite being chilli hot were tasty. Then I ordered the Goan Prawn Curry. Plain Basmati rice came with it. I preferred the crisp aromatic naan which made each morsel appetizing. As I was getting full, I took three prawns home. The cuisine here is particularly good as many of the line cooks are from Lucknow. The restaurant was filled with South Asians all enjoying their meals. Jerry and Vishant made sure that I was eating nicely and hoped that I would make a return visit. It was a nice surprise that a naan was also offered despite the rice that was given with the order. This restaurant has lots of color which is what India is and on the walls are paintings of Indian street foods. Definitely an excellent restaurant worth going to many times.

Pretty decent Indian food in the city, I will say that both the service and the ambiance are on point, but the food itself was quite alright. My friends got the fish appetizer to share and they really enjoyed it especially paired with the mint chutney and they liked their drinks! The golgappa here was fun because it came with different flavored waters which made it unique. The green chilli chicken is not for the weak. That dish was spicy but super flavorful. The murgh makhani was my favorite and the paneer was nice and soft! Definitely a little pricey but overall a decent spot for Indian.

While I'm a huge fan of the Chef Vikas Khanna who owns other restaurants in town that are Michelin Star, this place is a disappointment to his reputation. While the food presentation, ambiance and service is top notch, the food taste does not meet the expectations or standards. The kebabs had amazing texture but the masalas (spice) tasted raw. It just missed the mark leaving me amazed. The case of dum biryani was not a little different- with a lack of spice. On a side note, this place was difficult to find walking towards it and one section which had a large glass view in was empty and not lit making me think they were closed. I almost walked away thinking they closed early due to weather but I'm glad I called to confirm (since I really wanted to try them out) and they had to navigate me to the entrance - no wonder they were empty when I arrived.

Visit this lively Indian eatery in New York City's East Village, which is situated at 13th Street on 2nd Ave. Jazba is well-known for its classic recipes that date back more than a century. They have a deep religious and cultural connection and a rich taste. The atmosphere is lovely and distinctive. loved the utensils and their cooking prowess. They have resemblance to the rich legacy of India. Their unique drinks, which draw inspiration from Indian spices, were the menu item that drew my interest. They contain surprising sweet, smoky, and savory components from unique Indian ingredients including Banarasi Paan, Meghalayan peepli pepper, Chikmagalur coffee, and more. Mulethi was the name of the one I tried. made with gin and mulethi (sweetwood and licorice) infusion. It has a sour taste with a net-shaped biscuit on top. The Delhi ki Tikki chaat and paneer teh pe teh were excellent on tiny platters. They have my highest recommendation. For the main course, I tried Kashmiri Nadru Kofta and it became my personal favorite instantly. It was a delicious lotus root dumpling dipped curry prepared in creamy cashew sauce and. Also ordered Peepaywale Wadi Aloo (potato). I ate bread - Lachha Paratha, and Tandoori Roti. Why wait, then? Visit the Jazba Restaurant at 207 2nd Ave, NY 10003.

Loving Jazba. Have been here a few times and really enjoyed our experience each time. The staff here is so kind and friendly. They are also very knowledgeable about the menu and dietary restrictions and have made some very good recommendations. Creative cocktails. My favorite has been the stinging vesper - it's very similar to a martini. Have also enjoyed the Paan. My favorite menu items have been the Atari Paneer and the Goan Prawn Curry. Not too spicy for either of them.

Jazba in the East Village is the latest Indian restaurant by the team behind Junoon. We started with a few of the Half-Ticket items, the fish fry, basket chaat, and golgappa. For Full Ticket items we had the Atari paneer, and Hyderabadi Murg Dum Biryani with sides of garlic naan, roomali roti, and steamed rice. Our favorites were the fish fry, biryani and Atari paneer. We love the street food foundation to this menu and would def come back to try more of the menu

Let's start with service which was impeccable! Very attentive server - exceptional service made this review a bit difficult to write BUT service was the best part of our evening Food - ordered aminabad ke galouti kebab + Kashmiri lotus stem curry + roomali roti + roomali roti ----- galouti kebab was super spicy (and far from the original ones - yep I've lived in luck now so know exactly what these shud taste like (ironically in aminabad) since we had barely could finish the kebab plate coz of the spice level, they were kind enough not to charge us for it! The lotus stem curry was average and just tasted boring for my liking. Ambiance was great - depending on where you sit. The extension keeps you away from the inner part of the restaurant so I think sitting away from the windows is probably a better idea Overall great service - average ambiance and not so great food

First I'll start with the wine - we ended up trying all three happy hour wines (HH until 7), which the tables favorites were the white and we ended up getting a bottle to split once HH ended (but I really enjoyed the other vino verde option). It was incredibly refreshing and paired well with the many tinned fish options. As you'd expect - it's a pretty massive selection and there is bound to be a varietal and glass for any palate. It's also attached to a wine store - so it's fine to see all the bottles when peaking over. Food-wise - this is where it was hit or miss, they have a pretty extensive menu (with a whole tinned fish section!) and we ended up ordering the buratta on focaccia (buratta was excellent, focaccia was too dense for my tastes), mushroom truffle crostini (way too salty), the flatbread with sliced kielbasa (was fine), halloume (table favorite ), tinned sardines in lemon oil (delicious), tinned smoked trout (my favorite). Overall the four of us were very full at the end of the meal! The space itself felt very relaxing and rustic, and definitely got busier as the night went on (we got there at 6:50 and left around 9). The service was also fast and attentive - even for the amount of tables they were serving. Overall - I'd definitely go back again, and maybe just focus on the wine and another tinned fish selection!
