Real deal! Fish taco was scrumdiddlyumpcious, the nice beautiful soul lady with great energy, her aloha and smile, I'll always remember (I'm an INFJ, what can I say), and the asada taco was legit! Beans and rice- mehhh can use a lil more love it was real thick, but the tacos are awesome. Salsa was pretty ok. I would advise putting more water in the holder and ice and keeping it cold. Felt a lil warm. I love that they're consistent, so I know where to go for non battered fish tacos. Yum! I must admit I was not in the mood for Mexican food untillllll i saw this food truck in the side of the road then I took a bite ... I got the al pastor burrito and my husband got beef but it was so fresh and flavorful. I was upset that I didn't order more . Ironically the tortilla was light and it was a good amount of food . After seeing the truck next to this one go downhill quickly, we decided to give this one a shot. We were wary because we used to always eat at jaws and several years back. It was a good place to eat, but not anymore. So we went and ate at this truck and it was unbelievable. I can't even believe we wasted all that time eating at the other food truck. These are hands-down the best fish tacos I've ever had. They don't skimp on the meat at all, and the flavor is unreal. We travel to Mexico often and live in Arizona, so we've had our fair share of tacos--these easily rank at the top. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!!! Might even have been the best thing we ate on Maui. (The other food truck, also super amazing and would rather go there than a sit down was Ula Ula Cafe in Wailuku, closer to the airport area). It was so good, we went back again on the SAME DAY. Too bad we didn't discover them until the day before we were leaving. The thing to get: fish and shrimp tacos. We also tried some of the other tacos and ceviche and they're solid but not the same. The Fish/shrimp tacos were just next level. The chunks of mango and papaya and the rest of the sauce does not require ANY other additional sauces whatsoever. Just look at the other reviews. It IS a food truck off to the side of the road in south Maui - on the way to the lava rocks. We met a couple during our time at the truck who were staying in the nice resorts in Wailea and even THEY preferred this food over (or maybe the same?) as the fine dining places. Authentic Mexican tacos made by Mexicans in a food truck near one of the Makena beach entrances. GPS directions are accurate to the food truck. It's also the only one around within several miles so you can't miss it. You can call ahead for pickup orders. Even if you order onsite, there's good turnaround and fast service. People order and eat atop the hood of their cars or nearby. Many folks also walked or hiked (short distance) from Makena state beach park. Our group tried a selection of tacos, about $4 each: fish, steak, pork (al pastor), or ground beef. We all enjoyed them and voted the fish tacos as the best. We ordered the fish tacos and took them back to the beach to eat. To say that their fish tacos were AMAZING is not nearly enough of a compliment. Wow, we've had fish tacos from many places, but this is hands down THE BEST place to eat fish tacos! The seasoning on the fish tacos was perfect and the sauce was zesty with a slight kick to it. Two tacos served in the container were not enough because they were that good! The couple on the truck are very friendly with great service and they absolutely know what they're doing at the grill. Super tasty food truck typically parked on Makena Road before the entrance to Makena "Big Beach" parking lot. Their fish tacos are fantastic, but you really can't go wrong here. We also liked the steak quesadilla (enormous and tender steak) and the shrimp ceviche (super fresh). Their shaved ice cups are piled high, but the ice is a more coarse than at specialty stores. Second time here, parked right outside big beach. My work partner and I both got the steak torta. It was awesome. And my partner agreed, that actually says a lot when he is a person of Mexican heritage, born in Mexico and lived in Brownsville, Texas prior to moving to Maui. We came here from the past reviews. We stayed in Maui for 10 days and we came here twice! The lady taking our order was super nice and went over our order before we paid. Wife had the chicken burrito. I had a fish taco and steak burrito the first time. Both were excellent. Today we had a chicken burrito, a mix of steak/shrimp burrito. Kids had a cheese quesadilla and a beef nacho, along with Mexican Cokes, and two shaved ice. Everything we great and on par with the price! Incredible fish and shrimp tacos to eat at the beach. Quite possibly the best on the island, oh my god. I had never had grilled fish tacos that were so tasty and creamy and fresh all at once until I had Jazzy's. I literally felt like I was in heaven, sitting in the sands of Makena beach enjoying my perfect lil tacos. This food truck can be hard to catch, as it is not always parked down the road from Makena beach. You just have to get lucky and show up at the right time. Despite going to Makena beach 4x during our stay in Maui, we were only lucky enough to have Jazzy's once!
