    The Menu

Stopped by Mexicrican Mix in Kihei and I'm so glad I did. I had the steak tostones and they were absolutely amazing. Super crispy tostones, tender steak, and that chimichurri on top? Next level. Seriously one of the best I've ever had. The vibe was chill and the service was awesome--super friendly and fast. You can tell they care about what they're putting out. Definitely coming back to try more of the menu. Highly recommend!

We came here because our daughter recommended it. We just wanted a couple of tacos so we ordered a couple of Birria tacos and a chicken taco. The guy at the window was very nice and helpful. We will definitely come back again and try some other menu items.

Birra tacos and Birra ramen, both were amazing!

This guy is KILLING it! Birra tacos and Birra ramen were amazing! The guy is super friendly and obviously has been cooking the Birra all day, so much flavor!

Ono Mexican food just steps away from our vacation condo? Yes, please! Found this place on Yelp. Where else? My husband phoned the order in, and the worker was super friendly and helpful. They don't serve chips and salsa, but they include two types of salsa with the birria tacos and the torta we found out. Beware, the red salsa is FIRE hot but delicious! I got the birria torta and the flavors were outstanding. The only word I could think to describe it? Juicy! Hubby got the birria tacos plate that came with three tacos, rice and beans, and consume for dipping. Tacos were crispy and flavorful. The food truck is located near south maui Gardens just north of Island Surf. Go ahead and treat yourself!

    Veggie Tacos

Stopped by here for dinner before leaving Maui. I ordered 3 vegetarian tacos and the tostones. The tacos were some of the best tacos I've ever had. They were simple but delicious, especially with the spicy red sauce (I love spicy food). The tostones were crispy, fresh, and also great. I will definitely be coming back to this spot the next time I am in Maui.

The best Birria Tacos EVER! I'd come here every time I'm back home and it never disappoints! The owner is also super kind and friendly. Come check it out! You won't regret it.

Food: 5 stars Ambience: 5 stars Service: 5 stars Value: 5 stars This is a new food cart right by the large pod of food carts connected to the South Maui Gardens. It's a little out of the way, around the corner in the parking lot next to the old wave machine. They have a cute little dining area inside the chain link fence with a few picnic tables. It's shaded and has lights at night, which is a big plus. They have a ton of birria on their menu (tacos, quesadillas...) as well elote in a cup, empanadas, and more. The one strange thing is that they currently don't have prices listed, but I didn't let that stop me from ordering. I got the birria quesadilla, which turned out to be delicious and HUGE! It was around $17, which seemed very fair for the size. My husband was incredibly jealous after trying a bite, as my food was much tastier than his, and I have enough leftovers for an entire second meal. I highly recommend checking out this cart if you're a fan of birria - I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Great food & service!!! Pasen a probar la birria! Im Mexican & my wife is Puerto Rican so, though we stumbled upon the food truck, we were immediately drawn in. Joey & his wife were super friendly & shared his family background that led to the cuisine mix. The birria tacos were amazing. Everything you want: crunchy tortilla, tender meat, right amount of cheese & the consume broth was on point. The corn in a cup was sweet & full of flavor. I even got a jarrito de mandarina. They arnt on a main road but there was plenty of parking and they had seating too. We love to support local, especially when you get quality food & service.

Joey the owner. Pretty cool guy.

As a Hispanic from Southern California where some of the best food comes from I highly recommend this place. We were in town and Mexirican Mix was recommended by a close friend. We were pleasantly surprised how flavorful everything was. Joey the owner, made sure we were happy with our order before we left. Everything was full of flavor and the portions were generous. We will definitely be back before heading home on Saturday.

The portions are generous, the prices are very reasonable, and every visit was met with warm, friendly customer service. To finish our meal, my daughter and I shared the coconut and mango slushies, which are made with natural ingredients and were incredibly refreshing. As someone who is Hispanic and pretty picky when it comes to authentic Latin food, I can honestly say this exceeded my expectations. The food is authentic, fresh, and full of flavor. In usual fashion I ordered on the electronic kiosk... one hot dog and one can of coke. A few minutes later I was called to the window and was told they don't have cans of coke and they're out of hot dogs. Unfortunately that's what I was told to order from the people I was ordering for. When I asked for a refund the guy at the window said "we don't give refunds". So i responded "but I purchased a hot dog and a coke and you don't have them available. Why doesn't the menu say SOLD OUT or something? My wife and son wanted those specific items. It seems reasonable to refund my purchase, no?" So the worker responded "well can you ask your son if he wants something else? I'll exchange at no cost. And your wife can pick a different drink". Funny, because the grilled cheese, corn dog, and hot dog are all $7.95 haha so of course it would be at no additional cost. So I left the window and asked what my son wanted instead of a hot dog. Naturally he only wanted the hot dog, so I forced him to choose between a grilled cheese and a corn dog (I'm sure every parent has been in this situation and feels my pain). After a few minutes of arguing he decided on a grilled cheese. And feeling bad for me, my wife didn't care what drink she got, thank the lord! So I went back to the window and told him I'll take the corn dog. The man in the window then told me "hey, I found a hot dog. It was buried in the back of the cooler".... I'm not sure how confident I feel about him "finding a hot dog somewhere" when before he was beyond confident he didn't have any. And there's no way I'm walking back to the table with a hot dog after I forced my son to get a grilled cheese. Disclaimer than the seared Ahi fish tacos were good here. So to summarize, a terrible experience. And I definitely woipsnt stte go through that again There are a ton of food trucks who had way better customer service. I won't be going back unfortunately

We saw from their website that they open at 4pm on Saturdays, so we planned to arrive a few minutes early. Unfortunately, they don't really open until 5pm on Saturdays. We stood outside, in the rain, and waited. Eventually, we were allowed inside to wait. We were greeted by the house cat, who had to inspect our laps and found them to be acceptable, as well as our petting abilities. We waited for our friends in the bar area but apparently, the bar is closed. It has a sign for "order pickup", but they don't do take-out on Saturdays. You would think that would be explained on their website. It simply directs you to email your take-out order. We saw a couple of customers who were disappointed when they arrived and their food order wasn't ready. So, you might want to keep that in mind. The decor is interesting. Lots of nice paintings and other wall hangings. You could spend a lot of time admiring their artworks. I wanted to explore the garden area but the falling rain and lack of a roof kept me in the main dining room. Judging from the pictures on Yelp, the dining area has been upgraded with more tables and chairs. I also saw that one of the early 5 star reviews was made by Sara P., The Empanada Lady herself. Oh-kay. Lots of her pictures that would look good on their website, too. Matthew served our party of 10 and did a great job. He kept our glasses full and was very nice. He answered our questions and took our dinner orders. I asked for the Chicken Coconut Curry, with Papaya Seed Salad and Coconut Black Bean Rice. We knew to expect a rather long wait, and we were entertained by their jazz band that played from 6 to 8. They switched off 3 different singers to give us a little variety. The band sounded very good but a little loud for the size of the restaurant. The food arrived after about 45 minutes and it was delicious. The Chicken Coconut Curry was very creamy with just the right amount of curry. I'm glad it was served in a bowl. The price was a surprise, though. The website showed $18 but the actual price was $24. Could some please update the website? Otherwise, I would have gladly given 5 stars. I am looking forward to returning and trying other menu items.
