So, unfortunately I feel the need to update this review. I did not want to have to update this but it is what is is. This is regarding the 2 new remotes and new door locking mechanism I needed to replace on my BMW, after the loss of my car keys basically. Although James the technician/owner was very cordial, I cannot say that I am satisfied with what's going on with three things that took place here or have surfaced...after the fact. #1 My car remote does not work properly 50% of the time. I find that I have to literally push the remote button up to 8 or 9 times to either open or close my door locks, while literally standing less than 5 feet from my vehicle.That is NOT supposed to happen after paying $750 in total, for a newly coded $250 remote and seeing as these particular remotes do not have an actual battery inside of it. There is no such thing as just changing the battery on it. #2 When the actual metal key door lock was changed and swapped out for a new one, he had to remove the actual door panel, that pulls the weatherstripping off the metal door frame, which displaced the weather stripping, which I thought wasn't such a big deal at the time, because I was happy that at least my car wouldn't get stolen after someone stole my original keys. And some point, he enlisted the help of another more experienced associate/friend/locksmith to help with coding the remotes after some difficulties with the remotes originally. But once I started going to one of those drive through car washes a month or so later, the ones with all the giant brush rollers and such...I noticed that my car now leaks water inside my door frame. Makes me nervous about a possible future electrical short there. #3 There is a precision fit triangular door speaker that is stationary and located at the very forward bottom/front of the door frame where the doorframe and window meet. That speaker is secured by a small spring loaded piece of metal that sits just inside the door frame . Everytime I close my door now the motion of closing my door then dislodges the speaker and leaves my little triangular speaker dangling and "fragiley" hanging on. I informed him of this soon after, and he seems to not understand this and dismissed the correlation between the precision fit of the speaker attached to the door and when he pulled the entire door frame panel off in order to gain access and change the actual door key lock?! I will eventually need to take this issue to a certified mechanic shop to re-attach the speaker with the tiny metal spring pin that keeps it in place. I still have that...in my ashtray. Seems like a small thing to fix but I've spent a fair amount of money ($750) total... @ $250 per remote (x2) and $250 to re-code and swap my actual drivers side door lock to replace the keys, (I bought and provided the door lock myself separately) just to then have other issues that need to be addressed. read more

I talked to them early in the day as a key broke off in our lock and we couldn't get it out. Told me $100 to get it out and $60 for a key if we needed it; we had plenty of keys so they said it would be $100. They couldn't come until early evening but as long as we got it done I was ok with that so we waited about 6 hours for service. When he arrived he said it's harder than he thought it would be so it would be $175! Nothing had changed it was a broken off key in a lock as we described. I told him that was unfair but because it was so late I literally had no choice as we needed to lock our door for the night. He never said on our original call it may be more in some Cases, he literally did a bait and switch. I paid the extra $75 but not happy about how it all went down. So you judge for yourself. I might add we are a nonprofit but he didn't seem to care. I hope the extra $75 he surprised us with is worth others knowing and seeing this review. read more
