Unlike anything in the area, this is serious cooking at a reasonable price. All four dishes our…read moreparty had were excellent. The steak with Bearnaise sauce was done superbly; the broiled grouper was excellent. We have tried to find good seafood that is not fried - this is the first we have found. The Mac and Cheese with shrimp and crab meat was delicious, although the crab got a little lost. The shrimp and grits had perfectly-cooked shrimp, which you can find around here sometimes, but the grits were less than perfection. The service was good, although the server was filling in for the normal server, who was ill. She let us know she was a little out of practice, but she did fine. The ambiance is, well, not for a first date. Go there for the food with someone you know well, and you will get a first-rate meal for $40 - $50 per person.

The pretty wallpaper gave it a soft feel while dining. We started with some wine, they have a good selection of beer and wines. The glassware is pretty and even the lemon in the water was pretty! We both were excited to try the beef Wellington- something I had never tried before! The flaky crust was light and delicious, the beef inside was cooked to perfection! Inside was mushrooms and risotto. There were veggies on the side, but not enough in my humble opinion. Also, I felt the amount of pastry around the beef was too large. But again, my first time having it, what do I know? The service was excellent and they do offer wine tasting events! Give Fusion Blue a try!

4.5 Overall - A real beach-feel taco shack, less than a block from the ocean. Outdoor seating (no…read moreindoors) and weathered wood lends authenticity to the Surf City vibe, but then one also needs to contend with the birds and heat (minus the ocean breeze). We drove here with friends from Jacksonville (NC) and experienced the food and service and, afterwards said we'd definitely return here. Why? Tacos. We ordered four - Tuna, Shrimp, Chicken, and Veggie- all on a soft corn tortilla. Each one packed a mouthful of flavor combinations that were distinct and memorable. My blackened and seared tuna took a different turn with the bacon, yet it melded well with the cabbage and the spicy mayo. My favorite - the blackened and grilled Shrimp taco - included Asian slaw and sweet chili sauce that complimented the char. Our friends ordered the seafood nachos which frankly looked liked the shrimp and other seafood were overwhelming the chips! If I had been hungrier, I would have ordered this monster! Soft drinks (Coke products), adult beverages, and "Sweet Treats" are also available. The bathrooms are inside the surf shop. Paid parking is right next to the store. (If a song could be adapted for this review, it would start, "Shaka, Shaka, Shaka, Shaka Tacos)

This used to be our favorite, and let me tell you why it no longer is... First, and worst, the customer service. They couldn't make any exchange for the spicy salsa that comes with the kids meal, so basically I'm paying $7 for a tortilla with melted cheese. Additionally, my kid was taking our plates up the steps and fell, getting salsa all over his arm. As he sat there picking up everything, two workers walked by him and ignored him. Didn't ask if he was okay or offer to help. I guess that's what happens when you hire kids that don't care about anything. They all seemed unhappy and I encountered 5 different people and zero smiles. Secondly, the food and prices. I get that everything has gone up in price, but don't go up in price and down in quality, skimping on things that used to be free and plentiful. I just don't want to pay more for less. Lastly, we caught management in a lie and that's just not okay. You gave my husband an excuse for something and me a totally different one. Don't make up stuff to force your ridiculous policies. Bottom line, the food is pretty good, we've been here more times than I can count, but next time remember that customer service goes a long way and you could have just made right an issue that cost you pennies instead of reading this review.

The wood-fired pizzas are thin crust and are at least 11 inch size, as publicized. For normal-sized stomachs with a little hunger, one pizza will probably be enough, but if you're starving, probably should get two pizzas. They only provide pizzas on their menu. It would be nice if they offered sides, like garlic knots. The Wilson Fill-Ups is $14 and contains marina sauce, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, small bacon bits, and Italian sausage. The River is a basic marinara sauce with mozzarella cheese and costs $10. Both were good and greasy. Each bite is a mouthful of warm stringy cheese. The outer crust was decent tasting-lightly sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. The only complaint I have is the bottom of the crust was not cooked consistently. As you can see in the picture, one part of the crust is blackened, whereas the other part of the pizza is the opposite. Also, the Wilson-Fill Ups crust was crispy (slightly), but the River was not crispy. This could be explained by the River being cooked first and waiting for a few minutes in the box until The Wilson-Fill Ups was done cooking.

Can't remember the name but we had a pizza with pepperoni and mushroom. The other was the honey blue Bleu with Muenster, Bleu cheese, chicken and blueberries. Both were delicious! Love the hand tossed crust. They're personal size pizzas with 4 large slices. It's a bit pricey but I think it's worth it for the quality of food you're getting.

It was confusing at first, because this lady was standing still, facing the front of the window where you order. I thought she was in the middle of ordering food so I waited behind her. It took a few minutes to realize this lady was actually working with the food truck and taking the food orders. She also was not very friendly when I asked her a question about the food. Anyway, back to the positive notes, the food! The menu was limited to tacos, fries and drinks (soda, sparkling water). I tried the fries and fried catfish tacos (2 tacos), which came with a crema sauce, coleslaw, lightly seasoned tortilla chips. There was a bottle of salsa, assuming homemade. The salsa was delicious. The catfish tasted so fresh, was tender, and was lightly fried. The thinly cut fries were great, reminded me of McDonald's fries. The whole meal was satisfying, but I wished appetizers were available. This is one of the best food trucks in town! (food, not customer service)
