Pooja (the manager) is just an amazing person to work with! Her team are always cheerful and willing to work with us and patient with fussy toddlers and pre-teen 'whatever' attitude. Came here for a last minute family photo and Mickayla was out photographer. She was friendly and great energy. They had a special for $30 perks club membership fee which saves you $$ for the sitting fee and we just paid for the Digital album for $150. We took around 15 photos. Bought a holiday card session on a Groupon. Overall it same on the day it was suppose to and I loved the way it came out! It was a great deal too. The good: they are super friendly and fun, making reservations are easy, you can bring your dog The not-so-good: they aren't detail oriented so the pattern on the floor was lumpy and you could tell it wasn't real in he picture, they forgot that we had 2 backgrounds so they didn't change it for us, at the end of the day they are explicitly tired and want to go home which they jokingly mentioned a few times but made us feel rushed. ZERO stars if I could!! Lisa the manager should be FIRED. She is just like the other reviewers said: rude, disrespectful, just an awful attitude. Taking portraits is supposed to be a happy event: smiling with family you love. But she just makes you want to leave and never come back. You walk away trying to remind yourself that you can't let her nastiness ruin your day. Both times my family and I had to interact with her has been so unpleasant I will NEVER come here again! It's the closest place to get family photos, but we will now drive over 1hr away just to never interact with her again. The last time we came was the final straw. Half our family was just 5 minutes late & she immediately points out that we are starting behind schedule with a rant of how booked they are all day and how it would interfere with their "10:15" appointment. LIAR! I know for a fact that they have 45min between appointments & we were scheduled for 10am. So what, Lisa, are you saying that our appointment is only slotted for 15min?! She had pointed at the appointment book so I made a move to look at her "booked" schedule & she quickly covered it with a piece of paper... just like her lies. Then she looked at my newborn & said, "is the baby asleep?" I'm like uh, no... newborns don't sleep when YOU want them to, lady. Either you don't have kids or they hate you as much as we are hating you now. Then she has the nerve to say "great, the baby's not asleep" with attitude & exasperation. Then she does a head count & tells us not everyone is there. I'm tell her no, everyone is here, the elderly grandmother is just around the corner using the bathroom. Now I'm thinking, "wow, you have NO understanding or even compassion. Now we can't even pee?" As she's rudely making these comments, the grandmother has returned & is shocked at the way Lisa is addressing the family. Everyone was shocked to see a person in charge shake her head side to side in disgust like Lisa was doing. Lisa was so put out that she rolled her eyes & shook her head... blatantly being nasty. That's IT. We will NOT take this abuse. As a family, we all decided that the way Lisa treated us was unacceptable. So we told her calmly & with more professionalism than she was showing us that she clearly wasn't welcoming & didn't want us to take our pictures. It's okay, we don't NEED the pictures, especially not from some nasty woman like her. And who can smile after putting up with this unnecessary abuse?! The only thing we faulted ourselves for was being just 5 min late (with 2 babies, I think that's not so bad).... she berated us for 10min! AND she blatantly lied to our face! There is no 10:15am appointment! So we told her look, this is the worst customer service. As a manager, you should know this. We are giving you constructive feedback as customers that you are literally pushing customers away & losing business bc we will no longer come here EVER or recommend this place... all because of the way you have acted & treated us. This has absolutely nothing to do with the product that you are selling & everything about your personality & attitude. The actual photographer, btw, was just standing there, head down (I would be embarrassed too having a boss with that much ineptitude) & quiet. I think an untrained stray animal has more manners than Lisa. How she became manager is beyond me. And looking at the other yelp reviews, we are not the only ones treated this way. I hope this business realizes that she is a problem. But for us, we are warning others just like the previous yelpers. Save your time, money, and aggravation. Stay away from this place... it's hard enough to get the whole family together for photos with schedules having to be re-arranged, etc... to go through all that to be treated so poorly and to walk away with her nasty karma around a normally happy event? Not worth it!!!! It doesn't matter how the photos could have come out, we are NOT dealing with her again. Also, photos aren't cheap to begin with. You pay a sitting fee (per person!!) & even with a coupon, it's $100 for digital photos. So it's not like you're getting a deal. Our experience here was truly terrible. My family of 7 does an annual group photo every Christmas season. We called weeks in advance to get an appointment at a time that worked for all of us and would be planned around nap-time for our little ones. We showed up exactly at our appointment time but waited OVER AN HOUR before the photographer took us back. By that time the kids were miserable and exhausted. At no point did anyone apologize for the delay or thank us for our patience or give us any idea how much longer we would be waiting. When we finally got into our session we told the photographer explicitly that we wanted a group photo for our family Christmas card. No couples photos. No photos of just the kids. We only wanted a group family photo. Despite saying that numerous times, the photographer insisted on doing individualized photos. We also had several visions for poses/arrangements and we brought props (the lady who made our appointment told us to bring any ideas and props we'd like). But given the time crunch, the photographer was rushing us through and forcing us into stiff/awkward poses. We didn't end up getting to use our ideas or props at all. When it came to selecting our photos after the session, the kids were half asleep and cranky having missed nap-time. We told the employee we had a Groupon for 3 digital prints and we'd like to select our 3 favorite photos. He asked if we wanted to see collages, effects, holiday photo options, etc and we politely declined. We'd just like our 3 digital prints. He proceeded to spend 15 minutes showing us collages, effects, and holiday photos. We were crawling out of our skin at that point as we were so frustrated and the kids were miserable. He pressured us to get the individual photos of the kids and spend a ton of additional money buying more than 3 photos. I understand this is how they make their money, but we were clear upfront that was not what we wanted and we wanted to stick to our Groupon. In the end, we got three very cute photos of our family and we like them a lot. The experience was just awful. At one point while we were waiting we wandered to the toy section of JC Penny and took a photo in front of the toys using portrait mode on our phones. It turned out beautifully. I fact, that may be the photo we ultimately use for our Christmas card. read more

I had the absolute worst experience and I will never come back! The photography session went great other than having to wait an hour longer to get in than our appointment time but I was very understanding because it was the Holidays. The photographer was great. My bad experience was when I went to go pick up my photos and was solely because of the manager. First I called ahead to see if my photos were ready and I found it interesting that she told me over the phone that I needed to be there by 6pm when they closed at 8pm because they would be "busy with getting their last appointments in and didn't have time to deal with pickups." I had no idea who talked to me at this point but when I got there I found out that it was clearly the manager. When I got there, there were 2 people at the desk. One that was helping another customer and then one that was sitting down working on the computer. When I went to the person working on the computer there was no acknowledgment. After about a minute I said hello and she rudely stated that I needed to wait my turn to be helped by the other person. I went behind the other customer to wait my turn and I could see that the employee helping the customer was clearly physically not okay. Hair all a mess, wobbly, and sweating. She seemed to be having a rough day. When it was my turn, I asked her if she was okay. She said that yeah her knees are just really hurting her and it has been a long day. I then said "she needs to be helping you then" pointing to the person sitting down on the computer right beside her. The lady then stands up from her chair, slams her hands on the table and says "I told you that she was helping customers and I am doing work on my computer." I was immediately put off by her aggressive behavior and I asked to speak to a manager. She then said that she was the manager and I was immediately shocked by her unprofessional behavior. Not only was she letting her employee who clearly needed her help who was physically not feeling well, but she was treating customers with such disrespect. I am also a Store Manager for a retail establishment and I would never ever treat my customers the way that she was treating me or my employees. I told her that I work in retail and I would never treat people the way she was acting and she said "well then you come back here and do my job then." I was stunned! I then asked for her manager's name and she gave me the customer service phone number to call and told me in a very rude way with tons of attitude "happy holidays and have a nice day." I have very thick skin after working with customers for 12 years but that was very embarrassing and I was on the verge of tears. I then told the lady who was helping me and showing me my photos, to just package it up because I wanted to get out of there fast. She apologized for her manager's behavior who by the way, was still sitting right next to her. I will NEVER go back here again! The next day, I called the customer service line. Because of my experience working with customers, I am almost more lenient when it comes to customer service because I know what they go through. It would be one thing if it was an employee who's behavior was this way but it was the MANAGER! I waited 2.5 hours to speak to someone on the customer service line. They apologized and gave me a $25 gift card for my inconvenience. To me, it is not about the compensation. This manager needs a lot of training and should not be working in customer service. Clearly by the reviews of other customers who have also had bad experiences with the manager, this is a problem. I made one comment to her and she attacked me. How does she handle other situations with customers that are angry? Something should be done and I will take this as high as I can. read more

Worst place to come. Manager here is the worst person to communicate with. I came in dis the session, i had a great coupon discount that i wanted to use. My wife could not be in the session because of work so i took pictures of my daughter 1st bday of her alone. I made an appointment to come in the next day with my wife and pick out the pictures and the manager said they could not take our coupon because i had to choose the pictures the day before (something the employee didn't explain to me. So we go in the next day (today day of posting this) and like i mention the manager didn't want to take our coupon and the person helping us tells us if we were going to choose pictures if not so she can help someone else. Other than being rude and being thier fault they still disrespected us. We had to pay without taking anything.. will not come to this place ever again and will definitely not recommend it to anyone. I've been here many times in the last 2 years. For the last year it had the same people working and I was overall pleased with our photos. This visit was completely different people. However, the photos were decent. If you get on the mailing list you get coupons that are good for months. If you get a membership there are no sitting fees plus you get some special coupons. It's worth getting the membership if you have kids as you will use the coupons. Everyone here has always been nice. After pictures they do go through a list of products to try and upsell. I know they have to do it, so I do try to point out things I like. This way when the extra products are made I might get something I like. Once you purchase you can view pictures online and order more there or share with family to purchase. Pictures you ordered in the store come back in a week, so you do have to go back to pick up. When you do, they have usually made a few extra special items you can purchase for an additional price. I honestly like this b/c usually they have the magnet and some special borders of a photo I didn't purchase but liked. Downside is you have to walk to the back of JCP to get to the studio. My problem is I am missing some of my photos from the session but every employee I talk to on the phone cannot comprehend what I am saying....and I have had to call numerous times to get ahold of people. No, calling Shutterfly (which I hate that they do this now) won't solve the problem because you never uploaded all my photos to begin with. Shutterfly was like why are you calling us? The photographer is a sweet lady and her twin sister works there too. I would rate her 5 star. The manager Lisa is rude, disrespectful and pure awful. I don't understand why someone like her would be in a customer service position and would be a manager! I'm not surprised that there are others who posted negative reviews on the manager. I bet it's the same person I had! I went to pick up our holiday photos in late December and the photos were too dark, our skin color was like orange. They told me they would re-print them but I needed to pick them up later. I live 40 minutes away and asked if they would mail the photos to me. The answer was no. So in early January, I drove there again to pick up the reprints, only found out holiday cards as part of the order were not in the package. They told me they'll call me when the holiday cards arrive. In early January, a lady called and said the cards were ready to be picked up. I asked if they could mail them to me because I already went there two times to pick up. The cards weren't available when they should be and I don't live close by. The lady said she would ask the manager and get back to me. Two weeks later, no one ever got back to me. I called again and asked to speak to the manager. I explained my situation. Lisa, the manager said they can't mail to me and I have to pick them up. She said it's not their fault that the cards were not there. Since it's way passed holiday time and I won't be able to use the cards any way, I said I don't need the cards and asked for refund. She said she can't refund but will give me one sheet of free photo if I ever go back. She was yelling and not letting me finish but told me to "stop yelling". I will never go back as long as this kind of manager and customer service is there, why would I need a free sheet of photo??? I asked to talk to her manager, she said she is the manager. I said can I talk to the person above you then. She said there is no person above her. Really?? I called customer service at 800-345-6019. The agent took my complaint and will forward it to the district manager, who is the person above her. read more

Very disappointed customer.I bought a Groupon online for 60 5 x 7 Christmas cards and when I went to pick them up I only got 12. They charged me for the 60 and said the other 48 would come just five days before Christmas. During The photo shoot I was also told I could bring my emotional support dog but then when we got there they said dogs were not allowed. This was also very disturbing since I called to verify the day before and they told me it would be fine. The lady who took our pictures was very nice but because they were running about 1 to 2 hours behind we felt very rushed . Our photo shoot was about an hour and a half later then what we had booked, we were given wrong information about our support animal, and were given the wrong order at pick up, which will now delay our Christmas card arrivals. I am pretty upset and will never use this photo studio ever again, or recommend it to others. read more
