I initially contacted Jason to get an estimate for putting a cap on my chimney because I thought that water was coming in from there into my basement. When I bought the house, I was informed of the leakage and was told that there may be a crack in the foundation. I sprayed lots of water near that area but found no leakage inside...and water would only leak during heavy windy rainy days which is why I thought that the leak must be coming through the chimney top. Anyway, Jason took the time and carefully reviewed all the photos and videos I sent him. He advised me to take care of the mold first before doing anything. I had some mold growth on the trim near the fireplace. He said that the water was definitely not coming from the chimney top. He referred me to a great guy for mold remediation and that's when all the good stuff started happening. We were able to find the source of leakage that I've been dealing with for 5 years! I have had a third party home inspector come out before to help determine the source of leakage but he wasn't helpful at all! What a waste of money! The mold remediation and drywall guys discovered that the water was coming in through the poorly sealed fireplace vent located on the siding. If it weren't for Jason, my basement would still be leaking today. Thank you so much for your honesty and steering me in the right direction. I highly recommend JCS services even though I didn't use them. I contacted Jason at JCS for a dryer vent cleaning because our dryer stopped drying clothes. It was an emergency and several other companies we called were giving us a 2 week time frame. Jason emailed me back same day and was able to get us an appointment for the same day. Liam and Hunter came out to do the service and the whole appointment took no more than 25 minutes and they even had to get onto the roof. I called a few places about getting my dryer vent cleaned and they gave me the lowest price and seemed to know what they're doing. They showed up on time and worked pretty fast. When I went to check the exterior dryer vent after they were done, I reached my hand in and pulled out a giant piece of lint. Seems like they could have checked their work better. Aside from that, the vent does seem much cleaner and overall I'm satisfied with the work. read more

We have a chimney that hasn't been used in over 15 years, we wanted it cleaned and inspected, so we called JCS. Within 2 days we had someone onsite. Low and behold...SQUIRRELS...with a nest in the chimney (no animals were harmed in the making of this review). The nest was cleared, chimney cleaned and inspected, and a much needed new cap (to keep the squirrels out!) were done within a few hours. Great effort and great customer service. They are great at responding unlike other companies i tried to contact. They even responded after my condo association took forever to respond, so I appreciated the patience and politeness of their response. The job was to install vent guards to keep birds away. They knew what they were doing, and it showed since a tech that was installing the vent guards seemed to be in training and was getting directions from a much more experienced tech at the time. There were little things that I did not know about and lucky I didn't have to do. I think it saved me potential injury, time, and not being updated on the building codes. JCS got me out of a difficult spot very quickly! I purchased a new dryer from Best Buy who did not tell me they needed the flexible tubing the dryer connected to be a solid metal tube. I called several duct companies who all said they didn't do this kind of work. After calling Dryer Vent Wizards who were going to take 2 weeks to come out and had a mandatory "inspection" fee that had to be paid, I found JCS! Let me just start off by saying this is the best vent cleaning service we have had. The last company we had come out the year before to clean all the ducts and the dryer vent was not the greatest. Big company(Sears)but did not do that good of a job and paid A LOT more. Today JCS came out to clean our dryer vent and it did not take them that long and the price was very reasonable. They called when they were on there way out here and were on time. Definitely like that. When they were cleaning the vent they discovered a birds nest behind the wallcap...with a few dead baby birds' skeletons..mentioned it looked like it had been there a long while and whomever cleaned it last time didn't do such a good job and just left the nest there and covered it. JCS actually cleaned it all the way and took the nest out and made sure it was done right. Our dryer is running sooooo so much better now. JCS saved me on Memorial Day weekend - my dryer died Friday night with a "flow sense" warning - which meant that my vent was more than 90% clogged. We had just had it cleaned 3 months ago by a competitor, so we knew something was wrong. I saw JCS's yelp rating and called them - Jason called me on his way out of town on vacation, called one of his crews working double overtime, directed them to my house, and they arrived within 30 minutes. They discovered we had a 0% output from our vent and removed a screen that was completely blocking our venting. We then went to 1200 something or other output - and more importantly - my dryer is working again. All of this mega rescue and they still gave me a $30 off coupon which is on their website.
