I read the reviews, but we went anyway. The drive through is a trap! I timed how long from when we ordered to when we left:16 minutes. The fry sauce tastes like mayonnaise. The All-American burger has good mouth feel, but it tastes like flour. I do not know how they did it, but no, no, no. We will not be going there ever again. The BLT was pretty okay, but not worth going again. And to the owner who comments on all his one stars... stop. I have had 3 definately bad experiences at JCW's. 1. first visit to JCW I went to the drive-up window. When I got stopped to eat I found the hamburger was everything but the meat patty ... THERE WAS NO BURGER IN THE BURGER. I decided not to go there again. 2. But, weeks later my son's told me how good it was and we went for shakes. My banana shake was made with rancid black banana. I turned it back in with a stern complaint. I got an apology but I did not take another shake they offered. 3. A couple of months later I succumbed to the radio ads and the talk of others and ordered a burger and fries from the drive-up... got home and found the fries overcooked, soggy dark brown... not even the dog would eat them. I came here at the suggestion of a local classmate. She said, and I quote, "Best burgers and shakes in the area". I can't say I disagree. I have a few quibbles here and there, but the burger was outstanding, and my "mini" shake was bigger and better than an ice-cream dessert from a couple other fast food joints that shall not be named. I went in and asked the guy behind the counter was his favorite burger was. He said the bacon and bleu cheese, so that's what I got. I also got some onion rings. The bacon on the burger was honest-to-god bacon. As in, "make the bun sit sideways because of all the bacon" kind of bacon. The bleu cheese sauce could have used some more bleu cheese, but at least the bacon made you not care too much. The onion rings were the kind that come out of a bag, but they weren't too bad. The shake was out-friggin-standing, and the fact that they're calling it a "mini" makes me thing that these guys have completely lost touch with reality. I was expecting a nice small finishing touch. I got a hand-filling second meal. Not that I'm complaining about that. So I can tell my classmate that yes, these are the best burgers and shakes in the area. Really good shakes! They're served with spoons not straws. Burgers were great for fast food. Their lost of shakes It's very impressive. It's Red Robin meets Five Guys. Pricey for cafeteria -style service. A lot of items on the menu, topped with specials on the side, you're going to need to give yourself a few minutes to review if you're not a regular. If you're not from the area, fry sauce = ketchup and mayo. Ultimate fry sauce = bbq sauce + mayo. There are tv screens for the latest sports, wish was a great surprise during the playoffs that are going on in basketball during my visit. Come check them out if you like burgers, shakes, fries, and sauces. They do serve chicken, onion rings, fish, and salads, which I didn't have a chance to try this trip. A great place to come have something different everytime you come... for a free months. It just won't be an affordable hobby. If I could, I would with a buddy. Service was ok. Decided we wanted a better burger. willing to pay a bit more. waited in the drive thru a while but that was ok. Ordered a mushroom and swiss burger, small drink, order of onion rings, son ordered Chicken bacon sandwich, order of onion rings. I must say first the onion rings were good, not great but decent. The fry sauce was runny but had decent flavor. The mushroom swiss burger was huge and the most tasteless burger I have ever eaten. And my son said the same of his chicken bacon sandwich. Tasteless. How does an expensive sandwich and burger taste like nothing? I am amazed that my $30.00 order was so disappointing. I have gotten a much better burger from Del Taco. We ordered our food for curb side pickup at 9:32 P.M., and one hour later at 10:32, we were finally given our order. We went inside 15 minutes after our pickup time to ask about our order. Inside were a bunch of teenagers standing around talking with one another, and not working. The managers weren't any better. When we finally received our food it was cold. Someone had put it on the counter and it was never delivered to us. Don't come here, unless you want cold food and have an hour to waste. This place needs better customer service. read more

Excellent. Highly recommend. My friend and I have a thing for burgers. So we check out different burger places every couple of months or so. We've been to a lot of burger places over the years. This place is definitely above average, on par with Apollo and Crown. They say it's a 1/3 lb burger, bit it seemed a little light and thin. I had the hickory burger and onion rings. I love their style of onion rings with the crispy crumbly coating as opposed to the battered corn dog style coating. Their loaded fries with cheese and bacon and chili are amazing as well. There was still lots of cheese left on the plate after the fries were gone. My friend enjoyed having a keto option for the burger by wrapping it in lettuce. The restaurant was clean, well organized, and they did a good job of keeping everything well marked in terms of where to sit and the order numbers. They did a good job of keeping everyone distanced. One thing I would recommend for the future would be to have flavorings for the drink. The drink bar looked like blah generic coke products. I think it would spice up the place pretty nice to have some flavored shots for their drinks. read more

I never thought I would say this but their cheese fries have passed up the training table as the best cheese fries. They also have great shakes and the 'mini' is very large. That being said, the rest of their food is good, but not great. Their hamburgers are fine, but nothing special. If you are looking for a good pastrami burger, then go to Crown Burger or Apollo Burger. Also, they are expensive. For the same price on their burger, I would rather go to 5 Guys if I'm going to a chain restaurant. I went through their drive thru last week on a weeknight at 6:30 PM. There were only a few cars in front of me, but I then waited, from the time I put my order in for 25 minutes. I was completely jammed, I couldn't go forward or backward and got home with a cold burger and soggy fries. I thought that in waiting, that at least my food would be warm. Hence the 2 stars. We waited for 40 minutes to get mediocre shakes. The shakes had hardly any flavor and they even forgot one of the things we ordered. As we finally pulled up to the window to receive our order (we still sat there for probably 15 or so minutes) we watched one worker sit on a crate or box and drank a drink and scrolled through things on their phone. Had to stop somewhere for a quick lunch while cruising down the I-15, Yelp suggested JCW. Went for Jalapeno Bacon Burger with fries ($11). Not the best I've had but very good, the burger was spicy and rather juicy and the fries were good too. Size of combo was more than enough, probably the burger itself would have been fine for me. The restaurant was more than half full around 4PM on Friday, wait time to get the food was perhaps 5 minutes so quite reasonable. Would I return? Decided to finally try out a new burger joint and was pleasantly surprised. My husband got the blue cheese bacon burger and I got the chicken tenders basket and we shared. The quality of the meat on both was really good as were the toppings on the burger. The bun was a little dry, not the greatest. The fries were crispy and hot and quite good. I tried their mild dipping sauce for the chicken, it is a spicy hot sauce combined with a honey glaze. It was delicious! Hot and sweet all at the same time. They also had really good ranch for dipping fries and chicken. The staff was really nice, but it took a while to get our food even though we were the only ones there. I also feel like this place is a bit overpriced for a burger and fry joint, they charge for any extra sauces too. I was in a hurry and went through the drive thru at 2:15 pm on a Monday. I noticed the bag was light so I looked inside. The sandwich was there but no french fries. I walked into the restaurant and the counter worker promptly gave me my fries. After racing back to my office to make a meeting, I opened my sandwich to find is was wrong too. Arrived at 12:55 PM in the drive through. Quite a strange drive-thru but I'm not docking points for that. Left the drive through at nearly 1:15 PM. Yes a drive-thru, I was expecting it to be much faster. It was packed but still 20 minutes was way too long. The food was OK on this trip. My first time here. I've heard it advertised on the sports radio like it was the best thing ever but I was unimpressed. Ordered: Bacon cheese burger, large drink, fries. Review of food. Burger had no seasonings for about 6 bites. Once I got to the bacon then that added flavor and it was good but the bacon was at the bottom of the burger. They need to work on the burger seasonings. Lettuce was everywhere and way too much of it for my liking. The burger was a little pink too, which will not kill me but I was surprised by that. Fries there were way too many again and they were not crispy (maybe because they were sitting under the lamp for 20 minutes from the time I ordered them). I'm a fairly big guy but I could not finish the meal way too much food. After reading reviews I should have ordered a shake. Advice: Make the fries smaller and you can lower the prices by doing that too. Way too many fries. Also you need to make the drive-thru a lot faster. Ridiculous! You can smell the fresh burgers be grilled at lunch time. It is so amazing. Solid burgers, Onion rings & fries. Charbroiled. I love to request grilled onions. Shakes are good too. That is all I order from here their salads are Soo good I love how fresh they are but every time I come here they take FOREVER. Today I waited 25 mins for just a salad. I had a sensational experience at JC's tonight. I pulled up to the drive thru and my man Ethan S was directing traffic like a well seasoned traffic officer working rush hour on a busy NYC intersection. The drive thru was surprisingly fast and I had a piping hot meal bagged up and in my car in no time, with the fresh charbroiled aromas of the heavens permeating throughout my vehicle. Once home, my food was still fresh and hot. The Hickory BBQ burger had three strips of crispy bacon generously lathered in a concoction of delicious sauce. The portion of cheese fries was beyond generous, and the cheese had more layers than a French pastry. The fries were perfectly complimented by my "dunk sauce", JC's take on the traditional Utah fry sauce.
