There is usually a long line to get in... they are very friendly... they come out and welcome you.... Sometimes they Start your drink order and deliver while in line... once inside it's another line near the bakery and merchandise... when you get to the bakery counter you bring your drink with you and complete your order..... they give you a number a tell you to find a seat... Then they bring out your food... My granddaughter said the Syrup could use some help... thin and tasted different... how about old fashioned maple syrup??? Anyway food was okay... presentation was great... Staff is friendly...

Wow, what a vibe! This sun-kissed spot is directly across the street from the ocean. The line was a bit long but it was a Saturday morning and all the folks were out! The best thing is the line moved so fast, we may have waited 15 minutes. The front of the restaurant is decorated so cute that gave us plenty of time for a mini photo shoot while reviewing the menu. You walk in, place your order, pay for your food, then sit down to an open dining room or patio. The iced Havana latte was delicious and deserves an honorable mention! Can't wait to visit again.

If you're near Stern's Wharf you have to come here for breakfast. You also MUST order the strawberry scones. Their meals are light, fresh, and cooked perfectly. The line isn't that long as it looks from the outside- they are just organized with spreading out the crowd. Every plate they have is delicious. You can't go wrong by coming here every morning.

Went to this location on the waterfront and the vibes were amazing! We sat outside and it was the most perfect place to have brunch. The food was so delicious and the staff were very kind and attentive! Perfect spot for brunch with friends!

Our favorite dish: chilaquiles verdes, although the rajas burrito was so good too! Lovely, awesome, amazing servers and waitstaff. Super helpful with all questions we had! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a cute restaurant right by the pier, we walked down the pier to have some wine and get some souvenirs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The reason for the 4 stars is I was a little disappointed with the lemon poppy seed pancakes, they were dry, not as moist as we anticipated. Maybe we'll give them a second chance next time.

We came here early morning on Mother's Day. The process was to get in line, check in, get in another line to order your food, and then go find a table once you did. There was plenty of seating in the restaurant. We got here pretty early I want to say around 7:30am opening. After ordering and finding our seat outside, we didn't wait too long for our food. There isn't table service but there were localized water stations in each section of the restaurant. I also think enough people come around where it works out okay! We ordered: salmon eggs Benedict, banana French toast, and the special they had for lobster eggs Benedict. We thought this was one of the best breakfasts we ever had! I got a chocolate croissant to go and it was super super yummy. We would definitely come back, I definitely recommend!

Such a great breakfast spot! The location is superior, right off Stearns Warf and a couple short blocks away from the shops downtown. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The outdoor dining area is lovely and the food is great, very high quality.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] awe shared the breakfast quesadilla, the french toast, and the California omelette, all of which were delicious. There was so much more on the menu I would've loved to try. They also carry La Colombe, so the getting good quality coffee was basically a guarantee. My only qualm is how annoying it is to have to wait outside, then wait some more inside after trekking through a giant merch section, but otherwise this is a definite SB rec!

First, don't be scared of the line. It goes by fast. You order first then find a seat. You must order Banana Kuala French toast. It is something you can share and so incredibly good. The staff is super sweet as well and the Bellinis are incredible too.

Love this place!! Great way to start the day and we beat the line! Enjoyed the veggie scramble (made with egg whites)- cheese, mushrooms, tomato, spinach served with home Potatoes and a buttermilk biscuit

My parents were in town so I had to take them to visit Santa Barbara's beautiful coastline. I was looking for some laid back places for brunch and stumbled upon Jeanine's. Jeanine's has a super beautiful indoor and outdoor interior. I especially love their specials outdoor seating areas with salmon colored umbrellas. It was just so beautiful and serene. Once you get to Jeanine's the host gives you menus and shows you to the counter where you order and pay and get a number. Then you pick your table and someone comes and drops off your food order. It was very quick and easy and because it was a Monday, around 1 pm, there was no line. We ordered the huevos rancheros, the breakfast quesadilla and the breakfast burrito. Everything was delicious and a good portion size. I'd highly recommend checking this place out. I can't wait to come back and try some of their other dishes!

Don't let the line outside deter you from going here. You order your food at the counter and then grab a seat. They have some cute things for sale for you to check out while you're waiting to order and also can order drinks while you wait - which is genius. We got our drinks before we ordered and it wasn't even that long. We got a waffle to share and honestly regretted not getting 2 for the four of us. It was the BEST waffle I have had! I would go back from LA just for that! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat outside and it's so cute with the ocean breeze and plenty of umbrellas.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There is a water station so you can make sure you stay hydrated. I wish I had taken more pictures.

This is our #1 spot when in Santa Barbara. We absolutely loved everything about our brunch there - from the view/ambiance, the service, to the food. There are VERY few places in the world that the hubs would wait in line for and Jeannine's is one of them. We were able to snag a table outside next to the fountain so we had a great view. From the delicious food, great service, and amazing views, loved everything about this place.

I've been to Jeanine's bakery many times over the past decade but this is my first review. My wife and I went on a Summer Monday morning and the line was about 20 minutes to get to the ordering counter. As you are ordering, they are making your coffee drinks in real-time (mocha / latte) so when you pay they give you your drinks and number. The baked goods are always great (many scones, muffins, etc.) which I always get to go. My wife got an egg breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel and loved it. My breakfast was more simple, the oatmeal and a side of eggs and I couldn't believe how good it was. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat at a beautiful table outside next to the fountain.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We came back through Santa Barbara on the following Saturday morning but the line was twice as long so we went back to our hotel and walked to a different breakfast place. I should mention that they do have a to-go counter if you are looking for coffee and pastries only. We'll be back on a weekday or off-hours on a weekend next time we are in SB.

Lilac Patisserie delivered on both fronts. The food and ambiance were excellent, and we really enjoyed our visit. The way the team and management responded turned what could have been a negative experience into one that left an even stronger impression. The salmon plate, pancakes, and chicken sausage were all delicious. The coffee was okay, but that's hardly why you come here. The real standout was the service. Great food is memorable, but exceptional hospitality is what keeps people coming back. We'll definitely be returning.

There was only one person in line and 4 staff members behind the counter standing around talking to each other. Nobody greeted us or asked for our bakery order. When I said excuse me to a dirty blond girl she replied "WHAT!" and continued to joke with a co worker. When the cashier finished with their customer they walked away and even though they saw we were waiting to be helped. I looked around and saw nobody helping seated customers or us at the bakery counter. Finally, the dirty blonde ask what we need and my response was "WHAT" ?! At this point we should have left and gone to Lilac Patisserie however we proceeded to give her our order. I told another customer behind us that rudeness seems to be the norm, and she agreed. I paid for our bakery items and asked an older woman scrolling on her phone if we could have a bag for all of our boxed treats. She grabbed a handful of bags and threw them at me from across the counter. We were appalled and left. We found a place to sit on State street to eat our treats and my daughter said she didn't want her Meringue because the dirty blonde girl used the back of her ungloved hand to repeatedly wipe her nose. We threw all $50 worth of baked goods in the trash. Yes, I should have gone back and complained I'm had everything refunded but it was Mother's Day and we didn't want anything more to do with this establishment. It was also an epiphany that they don't treat everyone this way. It could be you next time. Please go somewhere else. We will never go to anywhere but Lilac Patisserie which is to the left as you exit Andersons, past the stop light. You will definitely get your money's worth and the staff is friendly, professional, and greet you immediately as you reach the counter.
