My mistake was not asking for the price upfront because, honestly, I never imagined that adding a few simple holes to belts would turn into one of the most ridiculous service experiences I've had in a long time. A little later, another man walked in, probably the owner. The atmosphere immediately changed. When the work was finished and I asked how much I owed, he casually said "$70." For a second, I genuinely thought I misunderstood him. Seventy dollars for nine holes in leather belts that took less than five minutes total. When I questioned the price, he started giving me explanations about how the belts are expensive, designer items and therefore they have to charge more "in case something goes wrong" and they would supposedly need to replace them. He repeatedly emphasized "$8 per hole," as if this was some highly specialized luxury procedure rather than simply punching a tiny hole through leather. What made the explanation even harder to take seriously is that the work itself was extremely basic. No restoration, no stitching, no custom resizing, no craftsmanship involved beyond a quick hole punch. I literally didn't even finish my chess game while waiting. The entire thing was done almost immediately. I completely understand businesses charging fair prices for skilled labor and quality work. That's not the issue here. The issue is feeling like the price was made up on the spot the moment they realized the belts were Ferragamo. Whether they charge $2 or $14 per hole changes absolutely nothing about the so-called "risk" they were talking about. The whole interaction left a very unpleasant impression. Instead of transparency and straightforward pricing, it felt opportunistic and unnecessarily greedy. Had they simply told me the cost beforehand, I would have walked out immediately and gone elsewhere. I paid because the work was already completed and I didn't want to argue any further, but charging $70 for something this simple is absurd. Completely overpriced, poorly justified, and honestly disappointing. Definitely not recommended.

I just got them back today and they are better than I ever expected (and I expected good things). My girlfriend loves them and feels so pretty in them, perfect timing for summer. I also appreciate Vahe's patience with me as I came in several times to check on their progress. Although it took him a few weeks it was well worth the wait and I love how he took his time to ensure that they were perfect. We dropped off a pair of fairly new Margiela Tabi flats for a simple heal resole and added a small cushion on the inside of the shoe. That was on June 15. We picked up the shoe this Saturday, July 11 and initially was only shown the bottom of the shoe where the work was done. Fine, placed in the bag and took them home. When I got home, I showed my wife and found there had been a stroke of paint or some black material on the right side of the right shoe. We attempted to wipe off with a wipe but was only faintly coming off. I called the shop and the asked I bring it back because they could take care of it right away. I came back, showed the shoe and then proceeded to get verbally harassed by the shop owner and the young guy working on shoes in the back. They first claimed that it was not paint and it was the shoe material that peeled off, but yet they could not explain why the material of the shoe still felt like leather and not felt that was everywhere else around the shoe. I also showed a picture of the shoe when dropped off stating even it was "peeled off or cracked" that wasn't how we dropped the shoe off and yet the shop continued to lie and state they had no explanation but only said it was not their fault or doing. They then attempted to say I placed the paint there and that "it couldn't have been them as they never painted the shoe" I advised it was clearly not on purpose which we weren't stating it was but the shop failed to take any accountability, simply stating they could not explain it nor fix it but refused to take any action to rectify the situation. Lastly, they gave me my money for the service back, which wasn't even the full amount and told me I was a bad man before walking away. My wife called after I left to speak with someone and the shop worked ended up texting her back to argue and attempt to dispute any responsibility. Disgusting place. These are very expensive shoes and the fact they refused to just take any responsibility and instead place the sole blame on my wife and I when we literally had a picture of how they were dropped off is disgusting and I would never give this place another cent or second of my time.

They found a perfect color match and extended the strap with perfectly matching gold leather so I could walk and dance more comfortably. The shoes are impeccably perfect! I wore them 12+ hours comfortably and danced for hours with no worries about the strap thanks to their handiwork. They were so collaborative and worked with my timeline, going above and beyond to make sure I was happy and comfortable. There is a reason they have been in business so long, and have a loyal customer base....Consistency One thing to note is they are more expensive in comparison to other dry cleaners. However, Milt & Edie's is located in a high traffic, nice area that is quite expensive real estate. Also they employ a large number of employees with some days open 24/7. That results in a premium rate for location, shop hours and quick turn around time. Like the saying goes, "you get what you pay for", at Milt & Edie's you get fast and quality service, great customer care, with convenient location and extended hours. I have seen 20% off coupons for M&E on the back of the local Vons store receipts. Those on a budget, or use them frequently, these are a good coupons to look for and retain. It's obviously a cardigan. When I asked what the heck, I was told "it's just how they categorize them." And when I asked the price difference between cleaning sweaters and "coats," I was told sweaters start at 17 and "coats" start at 35. So WHY was mine 75? Well, because it's "couture" so they "take better care of it." It's an old cardigan I found at an estate sale -- who cares who made it? It's not a fine dress or fancy whatnot. This incident followed a tailoring situation which involved no less than 3 visits. The 1st time, I requested the arm opening of a caftan be moved a few inches down a shoulder sleeve. Picked up, took it home, and found that the arm hole had been modified to look like a tiny penguin sleeve with a wee tiny hole my hand barely fit in. Took it back and found out the woman who took my initial order wasn't the one who did the failed work. Okay... so when I picked it up again, I found they'd simply unpicked making the arm hole smaller and didn't do the actual tailoring I'd initially requested. Because I didn't check the work when I got it home and then finally discovered when I tried to wear it weeks later, I was told I'd waited too long and would have to pay AGAIN for the work they'd never done. A manager finally agreed to actually have the work done that I'd paid $40 or $60 for after I had to tell the saga multiple times. Even though this place is close to my house, they charge whatever they want and their customer service when there's an issue is crap. Not worth the free popcorn.

Once I put the coins in and ordered what I wanted, I ordered the wrong detergent... (way to give myself away). Knowingly it was my fault at hand, I let him know that I'm sure they don't do refunds but I ordered the wrong detergent and if he wanted it back. Without questioning anything, he told me I can still get my money back. Damn, this type of excellent service threw my worries out the window, and for sure made me comfortable to come back again. Also parking is very open since if you don't find it in the lot, there's plenty of street parking, atleast around the time I arrived. Overall experience was easily a 5 and machines were all clean, ready to go and in working order. I urgently needed somewhere to drop off my tan color jacket that was HEAVILY greased with black oil (before and after pic uploaded). I had never been to Allen's before but somehow I decided to go there (Thank Heaven!!). The lady who greeted me couldn't guarantee the grease would be perfectly removed which I could not disagree. I was hoping for the best but I just didn't see how anyone could bring my jacket back the way it was... When I called them back the next day, a lady who picked up the phone who I had not met knew about my jacket!!! She told me that the stain didn't go away completely and she would like to try again. I said sure but was skeptical. When I returned to pick it up a couple of days later, I was SPEECHLESS. Not even a hint was left! My jacket was so brand new again!!! They even gave me the First comer discount. I offered to pay more for their effort but they refused. This was two weeks ago but as I am writing this review, I still keep getting chills from the pure joy and gratitude to Allen's. Two beautiful and kind ladies at the front desk and everyone else who works there. I live 30 minutes away from Allen's but I am planning to bring all jobs to them. There is always a constant in and out of customers. The drop off and pick up is quick and easy. Parking is excellent and the location is mid-town with easy access. Buttons, zippers, clothes that never quite worked for some reason but you can't throw them away, Lily can help! I had a long skirt that I liked but the waist was a little big for my taste. I tried to give it away but friends said it was too pretty and I should wear it. Lily found a way to tighten the waist but still get the skirt over my head.

Left my designer trench…read morecoat to be dry cleaned (emphasized that it needs to be handled with care) and they damaged all the buttons and replaced one completely. This is the worst experience I had at a dry cleaners. I understand situations happen - what's more important is how the business takes care of matters afterwards. I called the next day at 8 am to share my concern and as I'm speaking to the employee, they do not want to compensate for the damage to get the buttons replaced but instead, asked me to drop off so they can replace them at their store. If it was a non-designer item, I don't have a problem getting the buttons replaced. However, a designer item is expensive and should uphold the same quality. That is why it's called a designer item. My complaint is clear, my jacket is damaged from the entire front, wrist area, and shoulder area. It's not just one button, all of them are damaged. The owner, Zach refuses to accept any of my video/pictures and would rather have me drop it off at the store so they can examine or come to my home to see "how they can fix it." Got a hold of the owner, Zach and he begins speaking to me in another language which I thought was quite rude and was very unprofessional. No apology offered, no compensation offered and was coming off in an aggressive manner which I did not appreciate. I will never be visiting this business again.

I asked if it could be fixed since I needed it by Friday. Instead of correcting their mistake, I was told they "didn't have time" and to come back next week. I explained that next week wouldn't work because I need the dress by Friday. She still had three full days to fix it but refused to. Mistakes happen, but I expected them to stand behind their work and take care of a loyal customer. Unfortunately, I left feeling like my time and loyalty didn't matter. If you're looking for a seamstress who values customer service and stands behind their work, I would look elsewhere.

A lot of places close too early and you miss picking something up. Quality of work is great. Turnout time is great. I have taken work shirts, designer dresses, and tablecloths ( with wine stains ). Everything comes back wonderful! The staff is very nice! Note- the plant is on premise! This always for a quick turnaround.

Instead of handling it professionally, the owner, Zach, was defensive and unprofessional. For reference, we spoke with Milt & Eddie's and they explained that if an item looks damaged before cleaning, the operator should call the customer before starting. That's basic professionalism. If you want your clothes treated with care and honesty, I'd recommend going somewhere else, like Milt & Eddie's.
